Unkind, Unethical. I signed up to have Dr. Baecher become my «Primary Care Physician». They sent me their standard packet of forms, including their«Welcome to Our Practice» letter. It included this thought-provoking statement: «Our office has a strict policy about prescribing narcotic medications. We do not prescribe narcotics for chronic, non-cancer pain» I wasn’t sure I understood this, so I called and spoke with them. «What if I got in a terrible accident, broke my back, and had horrible pain?» I asked. «Are you sure I should suffer in agony for the rest of my life?» Essentially, yes, was their reply. They just don’t believe in alleviating pain, apparently. While it’s been 2 decades since I last took opioid pain medicine, I know that it is sometimes medically necessary. To deny it to those in need is not good medical practice. In my humble opinion, it’s unkind and unethical.

Great doctor. Here is one of the few doctors I’ve seen that’s great for all members of the family. We have recently switched my wife over to him as well. He helped me a few years ago with my back when others could not. I highly recommend him.
