Candlewood Suites Buffalo Amherst

At first I was regretting not booking at the Double Tree but no longer! This hotel is Super clean and the people at the front desk are very helpful. Plus the beds are great. Couldn’t ask for more!

I recently booked this hotel for a.3 mos stay. Dave Carroll immediate attention to my needs and
His enthusiasm for his hotel and staff was remarkable.
Other places seemed to create less if you stayed ir not. I am looking forward ro this home away from home.

Newly built property with high marks for cleanliness and everything being in good working order. Located in a college campus neighborhood with many stores/​restaurants/​grocery stores nearby.
I had to deduct some stars for a few shortcomings based on our one night stay with the kids:
— No on-​site pool. Partly the fault is mine as I should have noticed this when I booked the room, but I assumed there would be on on-​site as this type/​class of hotel always has one.
— No included breakfast or restaurant on-​site. Just a Candlewood Cupboard (packaged food and drinks for purchase).
— They could not provide a crib for our two year old. They couldn’t find one next door at their sister property (Hotel Indigo) as well. They didn’t offer any alternative ideas either (like offering a roll away bed, or extra comforters to make a bed on the floor). We ended up pulling the bed covers and comforters off our two beds for him to sleep on. This is the only time in traveling with kids in dozens of hotels that a crib was not provided (I know they are not guaranteed, but maybe they need to reassess the demand).
Overall, an adequate one night stay, but if we were visiting the area again, we’ll probably give another hotel a shot.
