This playground used to be a nice option– but it no longer exists. The land has been taken back for its original purpose. A cemetery. It’s a shame to see it gone.

I really like this little playground. We have a play set in our back yard, but it’s nice to drive to a playground with the windows down and socialize a little. The other reviewer mentioned something about being annoyed by other parents, but I’m pretty sure that happens at every playground. At the time of this review, my son is almost 8 months old and they have the infant/toddler swings there which is nice. I like that it’s set back from the road and it’s very roomy. Lots of space for little ones to run around outside the playground equipment(which is in very good condition). All in all, great for getting out of the house for an hour.

Pros: Decent-sized playground Large parking lot Basic assortment of play structures including a slide, swings, sand box area with diggers, climbing«wall», bridge, zip line, toddler swings, etc. A few picnic tables between the playground & the parking lot There’s usually at least one other normal parent here who will give their child/children room to play without ignoring them but who will step in if their child is not playing well with others. Cons: They let the grass get pretty tall around the playground, & when it’s tick season they’re nasty, even at the playground… It’s Amherst, so there’s always at least one«helicopter» parent who is all over their child & it’s quite obnoxious having to listen to, & there’s at least one(usually more, when crowded) who act like they(& their bratty kids) are better than everyone else. It’s slated to(supposedly) be turned into a cemetery in 2014 so the following things that could be done to improve the playground weren’t: It can get painfully hot here during the summer/hot days & there’s not a single tree in sight. A gazebo/shaded area would be so nice! A bubbler — there is none. It’s right next to a baseball & soccer field. I understand that it’s going to be turned into a cemetery in 2014 so any plumbing would get scrapped after that but come on, this playground will be here for at least 10 years… 10 years isn’t worth putting in a bubbler? There’s a port-a-potty, no real toilets.
