This place is a ghost town when it comes to finding somewhere to even pay for your items. I had to go to another department just to check out. Once there the service was decent but I was all ready frustrated because I had questions prior to check out with no answers to be found. Had to return an online order another time. Went to the mens store and was then told that I had to go to the main store to return anything. What a pain, no wonder there’s no one parked outside of the mens section. I don’t go to Macy’s often but this will help me not want to go again.

The biggest issue I have with this Macys is that it’s difficult to find an associate to help in the women’s department. With that being said, if you really have the time to dig around, there are decent deals here, especially in the home goods section upstairs. I have frequented this Macy’s to buy wine glasses, champagne glasses and serving platters, dishes, etc for parties. I recently purchased 12 champagne glasses for $ 11 with the 15% coupon that Macy’s has in their ads regularly. I didn’t even say that I had a coupon and the woman assisting me at the counter scanned one anyways, great customer service. Their pyrex glass cooking pans are the same price if not more affordable than stores like Target and Bed Bath and Beyond. I have never had a long wait at makeup or fragrance counters and the place is tidy for the most part. I usually won’t shop here unless I have something specific that I’m looking for.

Went to Macy’s about a week ago for a luggage set that was on sale for $ 40. When I arrived, there were about four women ready to sale me perfume and make-up, but as I made myself upstairs, blah. All I wanted to know was the luggage set in store. I asked one associate and he pointed me to another associate, I waited for her to tell me she didnt know either. Above her was a big service sign, but for what. What’s the point of standing around or even being there if you’re not knowledgeable about the products. #moretraining

I’ve never really shopped at Macy’s, but I was browsing an online sale and noticed that they have store pick-up available for some items. Breaking my 1-day old New Year’s resolution to «not spend so much money», I ordered a Michael Kors bag online(on sale!) and selected store pickup for the Boulevard Mall location. I received both a text and an email when my order was ready, which was fairly quickly after I had placed the order online. It was super easy to find the online pickup location within the store, and the clerk was pretty quick(but not super friendly) to get my item. I was worried that the pickup was too easy, and that perhaps the sensor tag on the purse would go off when I tried to leave. The SUPER friendly clerk in the handbag department was happy to verify that the sensor tag had been removed, and also swooned over my new bag. I will probably do a little more shopping at Macy’s, after this experience. I didn’t realize how many good brands the store carries. So much for my New Year’s resolutions…

According to the Goo Goo Dolls, it always rains like hell on the Macy’s Day Parade. Niagara Falls Blvd is dark tonight. A little bit weaker than it used to be. See the young girl shopping in the old lady’s store. Waiting for her turn to try.(on a pair of capris). I know a lot of people love Macy’s, but I went in here looking like I’d just rolled out of bed, trying to buy a last minute gift for someone that loves Macy’s, and maybe it was the fact that I looked so out of it, or the fact that I told her I had a Macy’s gift card(i.e. I wouldn’t be spending any new money in the store), but the assistant lady treated me like absolute crap in my opinion. Couldn’t be bothered to deal with me, and sneered at me and even a couple of disparaging remarks. However the gift went down very well so I guess that is what matters in the end.

I’m barely 5“1, and I can only shop in stores that have petite sections; otherwise, the proportions are off. I was astounded at the size of the petite section at the Macy’s at the Boulevard Mall. It wasn’t just a corner of the store, as it is in so many others, but was about three large sections. At first glance, I was afraid that the clothes were too old-fashioned, but as I went through the racks, I found that there were some more classic styles spread throughout. I left with about seven new garments. I am very picky about what clothes I buy. I need to make sure that the color and fit are right. So that I was able to find seven garments says something about the selection that they offer. As long as they continue to stock items for petites, I’ll be coming back!

There are a few occasions when I leave a store and write myself a reminder to go home and fill out an online customer service survey to praise the service I received. I’ve done this twice now for employees at this Macy’s location. Someone is doing their job right at this store when it comes to hiring and training their employees. I regularly shop here and have yet to have a bad experience. I am always greeted within minutes of walking into each department, in addition to having someone occasionally check up on me if I need help. Numerous times, when at the register, I’ve been asked if I had a coupon and I’ve had to respond that I did not receive one or had left it at home. In each of these instances, the employee has taken the time to track down a coupon for me and/or give me some other discount. Something so simple, yet, totally unnecessary. It’s those little things that keep bringing me back to Macy’s. The staff is friendly, helpful, and goes above and beyond for their customers. Great location to shop at!
