Middle Ridge Service Plaza

I did not sample any of the food offerings, but it was a pleasant and clean place. I did use the restroom and it was very clean. I use the handicap stall and it was clean and well stocked. Very nice service area

Service Plazas are my favorite stops when I’m road tripping! I have yet to have a bad experience at any of the Ohio Turnpike plazas. They are clean, have well lit parking lots at night, and tons of bathroom stalls. Some of the food places aren’t open at night, but lots of people aren’t in need of a full meal at 3 am.

Big parking lot compared to other service stations in the area. Burger King, Starbucks, Panera Bread and PNC bank. The bathroom sinks were kind of messy.

Great for road weary RVers. $ 20 for 1 night with electric. There is a dump station as you exit the RV area. You can also fill up your fresh water at the potable water station. Dumpsters by the fuel pumps. Clean, well lit and safe.

This rest stop was the cleanest one that I stopped in between Maryland and Michigan. There were plenty of stores inside and the restrooms were very clean. It wasn’t terribly busy when I showed up, which was suprising, as it was right about lunch time. My family and I stopped at the starbucks, which only had three people working it, but since the whole place wasn’t very busy it didn’t seem to be a problem. I would imagine that this rest stop could get hectic on days other than national holidays, but my visit was good.

Near I-​90 mile marker 140 — Stop here for fuel — the next plaza is temporarily out while they undergo renovations.
Panera Bread offers wi-​fi, the attendants always keep this facility sparkling clean.
Don’t hesitate to stop here whenever traveling westbound along the Ohio Turnpike.

Custodian cleaned the outside of my bathroom stall while I was in it. Awkward.

There are a lot of these service rest stop areas on the way to Cleveland. I wish they had more of these on the way to Cincinnati. They are really nice and convenient for you to stop, use the washroom, eat, and fill up your tank all at one location. They usually have several restaurant options for you to choose from as well as little gift shops too. I got some Panera while I was here.

The rest area in Ohio put Illinois to shame.
This one is no exception. Clean. Well lit. Has a Panera no less, but thats not open 24 hours.
Overall, easy well lit parking lot. Nice restrooms. Easy on and off the highway.

Great service plaza in Ohio. Very clean and it had a bunch of different food options. This is really one of the best oasis/​service plazas I have been too.

I’m talking about a Service Plaza going westbound around mile marker 139 on the Ohio Turnpike. The Ohio Turnpike AKA the «James W. Shocknessy Ohio Turnpike» is a 241 mile-​long, limited-​access toll highway in the U.S. state of Ohio, serving as a primary corridor to Chicago and Pittsburgh.
I travel this road frequently, day and night, and I am very grateful that Ohio has used its resources to build these exceptional top notch service plazas across the extent of the highway. Overall there are fourteen of these, seven westbound and seven eastbound.
This one like many is new, modernly constructed, very clean and comfortable with great amenities. Some of the services and amenities here are: a Sonoco Service station ²⁴⁄₇; a Starbucks (can’t beat that); a Popeye’s; a Burger King; a Great Steak and Potato; a Hershey’s Ice Cream; a Panera Bread; a Manchu Wok; a Truckers Lounge with couches, tables, separate restrooms and showers (pretty special); a gift shop; and ta da… very large and clean public restrooms.
Few highway rest stops I have been at can beat what Ohio is providing. Thanks Ohio. We can all know that great service is always just a little ways up the road on the Ohio Turnpike.
