Rolling Green Apartments are amazing and a great find in Amherst. My wife and I were looking for townhomes(2-story), because it’s great having fewer neighbors, especially above or below. These were one of the few in the area and the rent is well-priced(all main utilities included). We have a dog and they allowed him, which is really rare too. The staff is very helpful, involved, and friendly. The maintenance staff is very fast, effective, and nice. I recommend living here! :-)

So I’ve lived in Amherst for a year now and am sad to say that it’s time to leave Rolling Green to head over to NoHo(I’m a non-driving city gal). After having done the apartment search last summer and again this summer, I can’t stress enough how attentive, professional, and helpful everyone on staff is. So far as I can tell, this is one of the best places to live in Amherst, if you’re going to live in a complex. Utilities are included and the apartments are clean and simple. My only complaint is location, for non-drivers — while you can certainly get around via the 30 bus, there aren’t any stores for about a mile in any direction. It’s a pain at best and traumatic at worst if you get stuck on the 30 as it passes through Colonial Village on a party night. This of course has nothing to do with Rolling Green, which is pretty great! I would highly recommend it to any incoming grad students.

As apartments go, these aren’t too bad. They have several units from single bedroom to up to three bedroom with two bathrooms. This review is based on a three bedroom, two bath unit. Apartments come with electric, AC, cable access, and it’s right on a main bus route. Distance to Umass is about 3 miles. The units are usually two story and no one lives above you. It i generally a quiet place and is family oriented. The service here is very good but don’t bring your pets as they are prohibited by the animal police. Our unit was in the back and on the end. Parking was easy either in the back or front. We lived here for two years before we moved and never had any real problems.
