We had the same experience as Shadow S. Although the purchase and installation of our pellet stove was great, we pre-bought pellets in 2009 an were informed with a letter a few weeks before delivery that we would have to pay extra in order to get the premium pellets we’d already paid for. Seems like a pure bait and switch to me, and I’m not surprised to see they did it again a year later. We would never trust them again and now order by the ton from Lowe’s, with better prices ($ 190 a ton last year!), who don’t tell us we need to pay more right before they deliver. Never again, Stove Keepers.

I’ve been dealing with this company for over 6 years. Bought my stove from them, all my pellets, and also had them service it. Always professional, always up front, and always honored the price quoted for pellets. I highly recommend them.

Never Again !!!
Last year I Pre-Puchased wood pellets at their Pre-Buy Price.
They immediatly charged my Charge Card. That indicates to me a «CONTRACT» —– 2 months later — just before delivery — I received a letter indicating that if I wanted the premium pellets I ordered, I would have to pay more as their price went up. HELLOOOOOOO— Do we know the meaning of Pre Buy ??? I had a choice of paying more — accepting a lower grade pellet — or canceling my order.
I took the lower grade pellet in fear that If I didn’t — I might not get my money back.
These folks are not to be trusted — I will do my business elsewhere.
