U-Haul at Niagara Falls Blvd

I have never had such bad service in my whole life. I do understand that no company is perfect, however what happened to me and my son is borderline unforgiving. My son was in a accident a year ago and is quadriplegic. We have waited for a year to get him into a therapy hospital in Louisville. A month before our departure I had u haul install a hitch. So I took the day off from work and arived at my scheduled apt time at one o’clock. I was told the installer would not be there till three. OK fine, I let this go and came back at three. I made my reservations for the trailer to haul my sons motorized wheel chair and all the equipment he needs for daily activities a month in advance. I was left a message a day before our journey, from u haul that they didn’t have a trailer for us. So I called scheduling department and the representative was rude and said she was unable to help us. OK, I call another u haul dealer and sure enough they had a trailer. I go to pick it up, make my $ 400.00 payment and the lights don’t work on the trailer. And they don’t have another one. Wow!!! By this point I’m sobbing, and very anger. It gets worse. We were sent to another u haul dealership 15 min away to check the wiring on my car. We bought the part they said we needed and sent us back to the last place. Got hooked up to the trailer and no lights!!! It is now 6 pm. We were sent back to the other u haul and the representative said we are closed we can’t help you!!! I told the employee that this was unacceptable and to get her manager on the phone. She yelled at me as I was crying and walked away. In truth I did yell at her also. Anyway we were sent away with no trailer. And told to come back in the morning. So our trip was delayed and I had to go home and tell my handicapped child that our long awaited trip and his hopes walking again are put off. We did go back to u haul the next morning only to find out the wiring that u haul put in my car was all wrong… They did fix it as we waited three hours for it to get done. In the end we did get my son to Louisville. And for all our trouble, u haul took $ 50.00 off my bill. NEVER NEVER NEVER will I use u haul again!!!

Called in the morning to see if they install brake controllers. The woman who answered the phone said they did, gave me a quote for price, took info about my vehicle and my CC info to make a reservation. Took my vehicle and trailer there at the appointment time.
When I walked in one employee was with a customer and what was the manager was training new hires. He ignored me and kept training his new people. The other employee was finished and asked me what I needed. Said I had an appointment to install a brake controller.
Now the manager heard this and said we don’t have any appointments for that. I told him it was made less than an hour ago. He said they didn’t do that kind of work at this location. But that they did do that kind of work another location farther out but he knew that it would be at least 3 weeks before they could do that kind of work.
Took my vehicle and trailer home and called U-​Haul back to see why they would take CC info, vehicle info and make an appointment for work that they don’t do at that location. Got a run-​around on the phone with a promise that someone would get back to me.
No one has gotten back to me. Very poor customer service.

I was looking for a U-​Haul to pickup some moving boxes for a good price. I pull up my trusty Unilocal app and it said there was one near my work place a few block away and it took me to this location. The place is located at the corner of Niagara Falls Blvd and Eggert Road. It is not really hard to miss because you will see the line of U-​Haul trucks in the front. The place has everything you need for moving. Strapping rope, tape, boxes, labels etc. This is pretty much your one stop shop if you are moving. You really don’t need to go anyplace else.
I first arrive after work and I believe there was slight rain but it was below 32degrees and there was strong winds blowing which make it colder than it is. When I first stepped in, everything looked pretty nicely organized. I really like when you first walk in, there are boxes already assembled. What I did was look at the boxes and made notes of boxes I needed. This was faster for me because I then told Ryan Huber (who is a HOTTIE I might add) that I needed these boxes. Check out was fast and easy, no issues at all. Ryan even offered to put them in my car. What a gentleman.
So I ended up moving and didn’t use all the boxes I purchased. I went back and guess who helped me again, that HOTTIE Ryan Huber. He even held the door open for me when I went back to get the boxes from my car. I told him I’m returning some boxes I didn’t end up using and have a receipt, he said with a smile, «Not a Problem!»
The place has a lot of open stalls in the front so parking is never an issue. I am not even sure why people are giving this place the low star ratings because the place is neat, Ryan is very friendly and customer service is great from him. If you are looking to rent a U-​Haul or need packing and moving supplies, go see Ryan, he will make sure you get everything you need, will give you great customer service and do it with a smile, with his HOT/​Cutie self.

Very upsetting experience! I reserved a U Haul truck for my move and picked out the size, location and time of pick up. Three days before the move date I get an email confirming my order, with the incorrect location and pick up time. I immediately called and I was informed there was nothing they could do that a reservation is not a guarantee, pretty much just your «request» which is very useless when you planned many thing around this time and reservation. They were very unhelpful and didn’t even care. I ended up going with Budget. They may be a little more expensive but they won’t screw with you and take your reservation away from you!
