The Sugar Chic

I rarely ever write reviews but I had to for Sugar Chic! I ordered cupcakes and cookies for my sister’s baby shower all the way from Seattle and was not disappointed.
I chatted with Melissa over the phone and sent her designs and the cupcakes/​cookies turned out exactly identical to what I requested. She is very detailed in her work and unfortunately I wasn’t at the shower but I had at least 10 people text/​call to tell me how absolutely delicious everything was! My brother-​in-​law even got to try the treats and said he felt guilty for eating them because they were like a work of art.
Not to mention, she responds very quickly to inquiries and is always easy to communicate with. I’ll keep on ordering from Sugar Chic for events in the future and my family in NY will as well! I only wish there was a location in Seattle, we don’t have anything this unique around. Thank you Sugar Chic!

I came here on the recommendation of my friend to scope out some cupcakes for our upcoming wedding this summer. They’ve made cookies for her and did her sons 1^st birthday cake. I figured, why not? They’re close by. And since I was at these events (baby shower, birthday) I’ve had the chance to taste a little of what the Sugar Chic does.
Well, let me tell you — you will NOT be disappointed. I picked up the chocolate chip cookie, triple chocolate salted cookie, mint cookies and cream cupcake, nutella and banana cupcake, and the funky monkey cupcake (peanut butter and banana). You may have noticed I got cookies too. I mean, yes, I was here with the purpose of just trying cupcakes but… I mean… cookies.
Everything was DELICIOUS. Like, OMG. Let me eat everything I just bought and go into a diabetic coma good. Although I managed to space it out with my soon to be hubby. I guess since in a few months the old adage «What’s mine is yours» will be official, might as well start sharing early.
I loved the triple chocolate salted cookie and have a total weakness for all things mint chocolate related. Everything was phenomenal — best ever. The shop is super adorable and the owner Melissa is super sweet (no pun intended). We’re definitely excited that her team will be making the cupcakes for our wedding. Prices are totally reasonable too. Highly recommend… and if you wanna share your treats with me, I’ll happily oblige. Remember people, sharing is caring, especially when it comes to desserts.

My twins were turning 1, and I wanted a cake for guests plus two smash cakes for the party. I sent photos of the invitation with loose inspiration of ‘birch tree and little animals’. When I saw the cake the day of, I was blown away. It was better than I could have pictured and best yet it was delicious! They were so easy to work with and very fair with pricing. I feel I got way more than I paid for. I will recommend them to anyone who asks where to get a beautiful custom cake!

I’ve ordered multiple platters of cookies from The Sugar Chic after trying them at a work event. They are some of the best cookies I’ve ever had. I order them exclusively for family functions now.

I have ordered 4 custom cakes from this bakery since moving here a little over a year ago and each of them has been exactly as I envisioned them. In fact, I have just ordered another for a friend who has a birthday on Thanksgiving and even with it being the such a busy time they’ve managed to find a way to help me. Not only do the cakes look great they taste amazing. My guests have all commented on that. I’ll add photos soon.

Tried their cupcakes at a recent work event, and they were amazing! So fresh, and so beautifully decorated. Looking forward to using them for my daughter’s upcoming birthday party!

Great place! Cupcakes were delicious and at a great price (only $ 2.50 per cupcake)! The aesthetic and décor of the place was really nice! Definitely will be coming back!

I’ve seen this cute little bakery on 110 and it looks good and the cupcakes and cookies look delicious but unfortunately I wasn’t able to try them.
I decided to give this bakery a try since my son’s birthday is coming up and I need about 10 – 12 cupcakes. Nothing crazy but it’s plants vs. Zombies themed (game he loves playing) I went in and this nice lady was in the counter and she informed me they weren’t taking any orders for cakes but she’d ask for cupcakes then a younger girl came out from the back and when asked if they could take the order she made a face like she was disgusted and like I was crazy for even asking if I could order. I definitely felt kind of dumb for asking which is not how you treat your customers! Never will I go back to this bakery or recommend it. I wish I could give it 0 stars.

Nice quaint neighborhood bakery, with a delicious brownie. Would recommend when you are in Amityville.

This place is awesome! I live in Manhattan and have tried all of the big name spots (Magnolia, Billy’s, etc.), and this place has some of the best cupcakes I’ve ever had! Also, my mother got sugar cookies custom designed for my bridal shower and they were both adorable and delicious! Stop in and try everything!

This little hidden gem cupcake boutique is a blink and you miss it kind of joint. It’s located on Route 110 right next to ER Dox. There is parking across the street in a public lot. It’s worth the trip. The owner Melissa takes great pride in what she bakes and the storefront shows this. It’s a delightful little shop full of tasty treats and happiness. The cupcakes are just the right size and she often has deals going on. Check her out on Facebook to see some of her creations. She’s also moved onto caramels, cookies and cakes! Go ahead and treat yo self!
