We come here monthly with friends and always have great service. The food is really good and they rarely leave us waiting.

horrible food and service. Place smells bad and has flies in it. Décor is very old fashioned, very strange set up for a restaurant.

Went there last night. This is the best secret on Long Island, great food, super service all at fair price.

I was raised in an Italian family and we had the best spaghetti sauce at home when i was growing up! Villa Avanzo has by Far The Best Sauce that I have tasted in years! If I didn’t live in Tampa I would be there twice a week! Buonissimo!

We had a party scheduled for my mothers birthday 6days b4 the party they called to tell me the room i booked they over booked. They wanted me to take the main room with all other regular customers. I told them that wasnt going to happen that i left the deposit for the room not for the main dineing room. They told me they would call me back. Never got a call back. The day of the party i feel that no one cared the food didnt come out hot, the waiter was nastey, i had to ask for the wine, ask for the refulls on soda, ask for the beer, they then tell me the beer u have to go to the bar, they could have told me and all the people at the party that we had to get the beer at the bar. Whenits beer wine and soda included why is it our job to get our own beer. Thats what our wait is to be for. Then when we ordered he was being rude to the one end of the table bc we didnt hear what the food items were from one end of the table. He caught an attitude bc we didnt hear and was nastey tonmake sure everyone else heard. The bathrooms were filthy. Womens room had no toielt paper on the roll left. The floors had paper all over them. Ceiling tiles coming off the walls. It wasnt busy so why this wasnt clean is beyond me! As i paid the bill they added gratuity which on the party paper it says none added. Not that i would have given a bad tip. But its pretty rude. On the way out they asked me if i wanted the cake i brought in(the left overs) but we already had the cake… Why were they going to take the rest of the cake for their employees? The following day still upset over everything i called the resturant and asked to speek to the manager or owner. The owner answers. I told him about the problem and went threw the past week of this party. As i told him about the waiter, he goes on to tell me he was the waiter. Then starts SCREAMING, NOTLISTENINGTOME, ANDCURSINGATME!!! I could no longer get any words in because he stopped listening saying he was the waiter snd he wasnt rude! Which is complete bs!

Ordered salmon and it was COLD, I’m sure it was a frozen piece they tried to cook. The owner was very rude about it the whole situation.

We were first struck by the 1980s décor, but decided to look past it. Plusses; good wine list, excellent and enthusiastic service Minuses: food was mediocre. Not bad, but there are other better(and comparably priced) local Italian restaurants.

Disappointed. Much better Italian food down the road. Food was average, service was very uninspiring almost like they we’re annoyed you we’re there.

Another establishment. Boring standard Italian menu, reasonably priced. Bread was fresh but room temp. Food was pleasant, but served In an unappetizing fashion. Would I go back… yes, but it would be a tertiary destination.

Villa Davanzo is a pleasant family dinning place. The menu is value priced and the service friendly an non intrusive. We were there for a Saturday afternoon family gathering and there appeared to be a number were a number of family get togethers. The food was good and we selected the family style option. There is street parking and an a good sized parking lot in the rear. It is a good pick especially of you have a group.

NOTE: this review is for the old Villa D’Avanzo” not the new«Villa Avanzo». Similar names, different places! Villa D’Avanzo Middle of the road Italian. The place is set ona busy strip of Montauk highway — parking is in the rear but so are the dumpsters and on a hot day that spells a big smelly mess. The food is good — but nothing to rave over. Prices are average — service was good but no more or less than you should get when out to dinner. The crowd seems older overall.
