Absolutely a gem of a restaurant! Highly recommend the clam chowder. Great beer selection and service was highly attentive.

Blustery winters day and we popped in from out of town not sure what to expect. We tried the truffle fries — hand-cut and out of this world! We shared a French onion soup and macaroni & cheese. Wow! Perfect portions and delicious. Wish we’d saved room for dessert because the offerings looked equally delicious. We WILL be back!

What an amazing spot in Anacortes. Cocktails were top-notch. The soups and entrees were fresh and flavorful. The interior was cozy and perfect for a late November day.

Fresh fresh fresh!!! Love this place. They have a cherry cider on tap, try that! The salad with the shaved beets is so good. Steak cooked perfectly and truffle garlic fries crispy, salty and delicious. The staff is warm and you get to watch the chefs in actions. Great place to go.

Having grown up in Maine, part of me is ashamed to say that the best New England clam chowder I’ve ever had was here. Unreal. The smoked salmon sandwich and romaine salad were both incredible, too!

Excellent service great beet salad and the chowder was amazing! Very rich with the cream though so I recommend sharing! It doesn’t look huge but it’s very rich

This place is very nice, I dont often post reviews but we had their clam chowder and it is the best I have ever had anywhere. Everything else was excellent. This place gets 5 stars for that chowder!

Service was fantastic. Wonderful and beautiful sever that was knowledgeable but not overbearing. The salmon poke small plate was amazing along with the mussels. Scallops were just ok. Great wine selection and cozy aesthetics. Great evening all in all.

Great happy hour! We loved our server. The mussels were to die for! I could eat that dish everyday of my life. My boyfriends fish and chips was also a 10. The fish was so moist and flaky! This place is a must stop if you’re in Anacortes.

This is a welcoming friendly restaurant in the heart of Anacortes, WA. Very comfortable inside with a nice ambience. The dining room has open concept and the chef and his staff cook in the right hand space. The wait staff attentive and willing to please. Fish and chips are delicious, French fries, Cole slaw, steak salad and steak sandwich you won’t go wrong. We were too full for desert. Many craft beers, local wine selection. There are also a few tables outsides. A must stop!

Had the clam chowder tonight. Made from scratch but was really salty. Service was 5 stars as always.

It was the worst food we every had. The kids’ chicken tenders were burnt and pasta angel hair with marinara sauce was dried. Our Irish pâté was running. It seemed that it was previously frozen and left out in the heat to melt. I had crab cakes, which I didn’t taste the crab meat. My husband got the salmon, which tasted frozen. Although the manager apologized and offered to not charge us for the food and drinks, we insisted on paying and gave a generous tip. We did not want them to think that we wanted to scam them out of paying. We took the kids out for pizza afterwards. Although dinner was ruined, the pizza saved the day.

Came her jonesing for some fish and chips. We ordered the Alaska cod and chips. The fillets were firm, cooked perfectly and had a crispy panko batter. Tartar sauce was house made as well. The fries, skinny, adorned with herbs salt flakes were amazing and came with spicy catsup. Even the cole slaw was good. Sat out on the sidewalk, friendly service. Overall a very nice experience.

Absolutely the best clam chowder ever. Fantastic rib eye and a superb wild boar burger. Drinks a little too eclectic. But good. Great service by Lindsey. Will come back tomorrow for clam chowder at lunch. That good. Awesome on all counts.

Went here for a late lunch at the suggestion of a coworker when some friends were in town visiting us. Would have given 5 stars but the service was meh. Our server seemed less than thrilled to be there and never refilled our drinks. Maybe he just has a case of resting bitch face? My husband and I shared the Bistro salad, clam chowder and Tuscan Angel hair pasta. Salad was tasty, the pasta was just alright but the clam chowder with the focaccia was amazing. I will be coming back for the soup alone. Our friends ordered the pot pie and the fish and chips and seemed pleased with both. We will come back for the clam chowder and to try dinner.

I dig the hell out of this place. It’s small, and it’s a little noisy, and you should really make reservations, just to be on the safe side. The food is incredible, and you can’t beat the beer list. Solid wine list and cocktails, too. It’s down at the«end» of Anacortes, near the ferry dock. You barely have to remember any turns to get here, the road just flows out of one freeway interchange to the next, and then you’re here. There are neat old buildings around, and you can almost certainly find parking close by. You walk in under a glass overhang(more on this in a minute), through a little foyer, and into a bustling dining room. The host stand appears to be made out of sticks. Not sure if they were rocking a Three Little Pigs theme, but… sticks. There’s a medium-long bar, and maybe a dozen tables. The staff are super nice, they’re clearly the food-crazed folk in the area, and working here is the focus for that passion. They change the menu every few days, and do everything from scratch. It’s basically a whole sheet of specials, all the time. Lots of familiar delights – steak, salmon, pork chop. But done incredibly well, and also plenty of interesting stuff you don’t always get. The dinner menu has a dozen or so small plates, and almost as many entrees, plus a couple salads. We sat outside, at the little sideboard type tables set up inside the fenced area on the sidewalk up front. We had warm summer breezes, and with dessert, some rain pattering on the glass overhang above us. You can’t ask for a more delightful summer setting. The server seemed tickled pink to get out of the noise and heat of the dining room when she came out to talk to us. It was comfortable inside, but it’s hard to beat fresh air in summer around here. And she was pretty much tickled pink every time she came to the table, anyway, which was really nice. We only ordered a couple apps, had a couple bottles of wine, and then each got an entrée. I could have easily seen us grazing through appetizers all night instead; they look that good. And there was no pressure to clear the table. It’s that kinda place – you can easily imagine just trying a bunch of things. Between us, we had the burger, the steak, the black cod, and the pork loin(chop). Probably the only fussy thing on the menu was calling the pork chop«bone-in pork loin,» but that’s alright. Everything was prepared beautifully, with interesting side dishes. The steak was closer to medium than med-rare, but nobody had any trouble finishing it. The desserts were awesome – delicious crème brûlée and berry crisp. Skip the guinness float, though. They’re known for their beer list, but we found a couple of really interesting red wines at good prices. Nice stuff. They have a couple dozen taps, plus a bunch of Belgians in bottles, along with a few other things in glass. Definitely be back here.
