Chandler’s Square Retirement Community

Chandler Square blew it. After over a year of residence, my mom’s memory caused some minor irritation with a few clique people. She was probably not a good fit for Chandler Square anymore and the management decided it was time for her to leave. The reason for the one-​star rating is the way she was told to leave. Yes, «told.» It was ugly. Rather than being kind to a 93 year old, she was basically told to get out ASAP in a very uncaring manner. Any good that came with my mom’s stay was tossed out the window by a thoughtless manager who just wanted her out.
My mom is not an emotional person. This experience caused her great anxiety. And the crying and hand-​wringing was painful to see. It was totally unnecessary.
I occasionally thought I might one day be a resident of Chandler Square. Not! After this experience I can tell you this: I will never live in Chandler Square and I will never recommend it to anyone. My recommendations will be just the opposite. The management just does not understand how to deal with people. They are cold.
