It’s Islands — if you’re local you’ve probably eaten at one of their locations in OC… But… this location is by far my favorite. Food is always fresh and well prepared and it’s not overly crowded even on the weekends. Staff and management probably have something to do with it because service is always on point. Ask to sit in Andrea’s section. Not sure about her last name (might be Jung?) but she’s Asian if they ask. She’s a seriously awesome server! Never misses any of my special requests and checks in regularly. My favs are the fish tacos (with cheese fries! YUM) and the chicken tortilla soup.

Never let down, service is always on point, food is always fresh and tasty and restaurant is always clean!

This place never let’s me down.
Parking is easy. I’ve never had to wait for a table. The hosts are always energetic and knowledgeable. The atmosphere is fun and relaxing. The servers are inviting, helpful, quick, and come back to the table to make sure we are fine. I think it’s funny that they wear shorts — totally the beach theme! Around the restaurant and bar are televisions with extreme sports like surfing, skateboarding, skiing, and oceans and beaches too.
The Girl (our four year old) loves their chicken tenders and broccoli. My mom usually gets a salad or Mahi tacos. Hubby and I love the burgers. The last time we went, I got the chicken sandwich with teriyaki and pineapple. That’s one I’ll keep in rotation.
The prices are fair, and they give refills on fries. I’ve always been full, and never get more — but knowing I could if I wanted makes me happy.
Bathrooms and dining room are always clean.
Zero complaints… Dreaming about going back soon.

Terrible service tonight. Waited 15 minutes for drinks… we had to get up and ask for ourselves. Order came out wrong, waited another 10 minutes just for water

Recently moved to Yorba Linda and looking for a fun spot to eat and drink. We tried islands three times and hated it every time. Burgers were not worth it. Sat in a booth the first time and felt rushed to leave even though their service was slow. Sat at the bar and the bartenders were not friendly nor attentive. I had to waive them down plenty of times and it’s a small bar area. I felt ignored and just did not enjoy being there at all.

Great place to take the fam. French fries alone are worth the visit. I always order the hula veggie. It’s Delish. Service is great every time we go.

One of my favorite places! Their chicken tortilla soup is TO DIE FOR. I go in and get that along with a margarita a couple times a week. Staff is super friendly. Love love love this spot

Best service ever from a friendly and cohesive staff. Everyone just knowing what to do and running around seamlessly so the diner has the best experience. Definitely will come back to this one. Server: Brooke. Probably one of the best waitresses we have ever had in any dining experience.

Thank you to our server Tricia who provided superior service. She had our beverages before we asked, our food out quickly, and was pleasant and accommodating. We found out that she was one of the trainers and at that point we weren’t surprised. Thank you very much!

The service is always good! Tiki tenders are good here, and fries yummy! I’ve been a fan since I was a kid. I love the turkey burgers here with whole wheat bun.

I love this place! They have half off appetizers & some drink specials for happy hour. Happy hour is from like 4 – 7 & only in the bar. Always friendly service & quick for a resturant.

Went there for happy hour yesterday and our bartender was Allan! He was the nicest and coolest guys! Also the prices were the best ! i got a long island tea for $ 4! Will defiantly be back for those prices and because of Allan!

I had one good experience and many bad experiences at Islands. I thought let’s give this place another try… one last try.
Hula ($ 11.75): sauteed mushrooms, swiss, tomato, lettuce & mayo. I asked mine for medium and no lettuce. The burger tasted like overpriced tasteless burger. The patty was blah and the bun was dry and tasteless too.
Longboarder ($ 10.19): thousand islands dressing, lettuce, pickles, onion & tomato with Americans cheese for $ 1.20 extra. My friend wasn’t impressed with his burger either.
Friendly service.
2 stars! Sorry Islands. Too many disappointments for too long. Islands is not for me. I would rather spend my money where I can enjoy my food.

I has a great dining experience yesterday .
I ordered the wings and fries which are very good. Great beer selection. The beer always ice cold. Excellent service in the bar from Natalie and Alan.

Seriously, the food and service is great and their secret Happy Hour Monday thru Thursday 9 til close is AWESOME! Mai Tais are REALLY Great! The Nachos and Sliders are the way to go for a lot of food and reasonably little money! Their Dogs have a lot of flavor and just yummy!

I love the Kilauea burger. That’s my most favorite burger ever. The peppered burger, the crispy onions and especially the mayo sauce! We’ve been going here for years and I always order that and it’s always so delicious. Plus in my opinion, they have one of the best buffalo wings. Today we even had yummy jalapeño margaritas (many thanks to the bartender and our wonderful server). Can’t wait to start craving for my favorite burger soon. And the service is great.

Overcooked hamburgers. In order to have a good burger here, you need to add a bunch of stuff to hide the fact the meat isn’t very good.
The freshly cut fries are a standout here, not to be missed.
You can get a better burger at Denny’s or IHOP, avoid Islands if you’re looking for good beef.

Island’s or Red Robin? This seems to be an endless question with no definite answers. But Red Robin wins this round hands down.
I’ve been back to this Island’s a few times and am getting less impressed. And after today’s experience, I have to conclude that they are really just barely ok.
This place is never busy for a late lunch so 80 — 90% of their tables are available but they always sit me at one of those uncomfortable small booths. Today was even worse. I was seated right at the entrance/​exit to the kitchen and was in a high traffic and very noisy area. Once I’ve been seated I didn’t bother to ask to be moved, but I have to wonder why they use that little booth there. That should be the last table to use in the event of a full house, not when your restaurant is almost empty.
I’ve ordered the exact same burger (Big Wave) several times and each time the presentation (or lack of) looks different and unimpressive. Red Robin wins hands down in the presentation category.
The burger was really only ok. Maybe I’ve been eating a lot of different burgers lately and I’m really getting less and less impressed by Island’s. It’s not a bad burger but I just could not taste the quality of the meat and its flavor.
The fries today were bad. Bad! They were dry and hard and some of them were burnt. It almost looked like they have been standing there for a while and got put back into the fryer; or fresh fries were mixed with stale fries.
The server was probably the only good thing today. He has been cool, attentive and prompt. In fact, the last few times I was there, the service has been good. Overall, Island’s ties Red Robin in the service category but loses in all other areas.
