Love 118 Degrees! A group of us had a delicious dinner and dessert on Saturday. Everybody loved it. The food is great and it’s healthy! You just can’t beat that. :-) The Pesto Mushroom appetizer is my favorite item on the menu. And, the fried avocado tacos were a big hit amongst our group.

We were very eager to try the food here, but unfortunately, were unable to do so last night(Monday). After stepping inside the store, we quickly stepped out to see the menu that was posted on the window outside… & once we were ready to order, my sister asked the girl working what time they closed & if we could order. She then told us they close @8& that we could no longer order(At this time, I saw that it was JUST passed 8). We were upset, but that was completely understandable… Up until now, when I saw on both Unilocal & the business’ direct website that they close at 8:30 p.m. Mon-Sat(3 p.m. on Sun). Also worth mentioning: There were still other people sitting & eating. The menu sounded really good, but we left without food. And then ended up walking over to Healthy Junk, which was right down the street & still open :)))

This place is the only completely are vegan place I’ve ever been to. It’s quite interesting how they are able to put such a twist on a plant base meal. The food here is very fresh and the service is fast. The first time I came I had the Verde tacos which were good but I bit hard to eat. And the next time I came I had the baja. Which was probably better than the tacos, eaten with a fork with rich sauces added. Their desserts are a bit pricey but also completely raw vegan. I have only tried the bites, the lightest colored one with the quinoa seeds are the best.(Forgot the name, $ 2 each). The only downside to this place is seating and size. The place itself is small and their eating area has a potential of sitting many but there is only a 3 tables, enough for a party of 6. The rest is all bench seating. But besides that, I come for the most healthy vegan food I know of!

Looking through the beautiful photos of smoothies and yummy coconuts, I chose this place. HOWEVER, upon arrival, and on choosing a smoothie, I was told there are no smoothies available and only ONE juice. :0 whaaaa??? Ridiculous. So, I figure I’ll settle for a Thai coconut. Nope, says the lady behind the counter… none of those either. WTF?! I came here for the refreshing beverages to blend with my food. Humph. Instant docking of a star. Kale salad is bland. Thai Spring rolls have that crêpe on the outside that gets the vomit taste when dehydrated improperly. Taco salad was good. Not great. Just good. My apple lemon ginger drink was yummy, but not freshly juiced. Sooooo alas. Meh. Peace out.

Service is friendly but to a fault. They are working at a very slow pace. Overpriced drink and slow service? Not worth it hun-nay! Not coming back… sorry not sorry!

First time trying vegan food today and I decided to try the Lemon Pesto Pasta. They had samples out which I thought was very helpful. The enployee was also very nice and gave good suggestions. Definitely coming back.

This place has lots of room for improvement. We ordered 3 dishes: coconut ceviche, lemon pesto pasta and the baja. The coconut ceviche was good, the baja was ok and the lemon pesto pasta was just too bland. I’m not sure if it’s their way of trying to cut down the cost but serving in cheap paper trays is taking away the whole experience for me. My food was soaking wet in the thin paper trays and to think that I could be eating some of the paper from the trays is just nasty. Their prices are not cheap and this is not a fast food place, I like to sit and enjoy my food in real plates or at least better plates than what they’re currently using.

Don’t get me wrong, the food wasn’t bad, it’s just EXTREMELYOVERPRICED for what it is. Ordered Lemon Pesto Pasta, the«zucchini» pasta. Felt like a complete rip off. LET’S BEHONEST… what this dish really is, is 1 large shredded zucchini with some sauce for $ 11. This dish probably cost less than $ 2 to make.

This places is hot at 118DEGREES I’ve wanted to try this place for some time now so I could cross it off my list while seeing what all the HYPE was about and IF it was warranted! I’ve seen 2 locations: 1 at THECAMP with HORRID parking and this location in Anaheim near my yoga studio THEYOGAMAT(see review) and much more convenient. I finished up with a yoga class and walked over in the hopes they would be open and they were. No one was there so I was able to take my time to see what I wanted without being rushed! I was greeted with a smile as soon as my little flip flips hit the threshold. I knew I wanted to try a green smoothie and see if it was good as or better than mine seeing as they probably have the $ 900 blender compared to my $ 100 nurit-bullet that I have burned out the motor twice now, because I use it so much. I got the Super Green smoothie witch has mango, banana, kale, natures first food and coconut water. Since I HATE bananas I asked to substitute with pineapple because it was fresh and NOT the juice and it was NOPROBLEM. I was going to ask them NOT to use the coconut water since my ONLY experience was with this HORRIDJICO brand that I almost gagged on in church of all places! But I figure I would give it a try! ITWASSUPERDELISH! Just sweet enough without going overboard and green as a bugger! I LOVEDIT! It was just as GOOD as mine except there $ 900 blender pulverized the kale into submission and mixed it up with the other fruits and coconut water! The fact that I DIDN’T want to shoot it out my mouth and across the counter into the young ladies face was a MIRACLE because they used coconut water! The last time I tried coconut water was with that same HORRID brand in one of my kale mango, and pineapple smoothies. It was HORRID and I almost took a dirt nap! In other words it SUKED but this was GREAT! I asked the lady if 118 Degrees was a vegan/veggie place and she said yes it’s a RAW vegan place meaning they don’t add heat to cook anything! Yikes! That made me a little scared when I saw they had tacos on the menu so I opted for a salad! I’m sure they use some sort of HEALTHY sudo-meat but I’m NOT that brave. She suggested the Lemon Pesto Pasta and said everyone REALLY likes it. It consist of strips of zucchini(that’s the pasta) with lemon pesto sauce, marinated Portobello sh-rooms, tomatoes and fresh basil. It was a PRETTYHUGE«PASTA» SALAD! Shortly after it was ready and I took my bugger green smoothie and zucchini pasta salad in hand and I was on my way! I was feeling PRETTYGOOD having made some AWESOMEUBERHEALTHY food choices and hoping I would LOVE this salad and have another HEALTHYPLACE to eat! When I got home I let my fur babies in because it was getting warm out and sat in my chair so I could eat! Sophia sat like a statue in front of me and stared me down! I don’t think she blinked or breathed! She wanted my pasta and she wasn’t going to get it because it was SLAMMIN! I took a few bites and was full, probably because of the bugger kale, mango-pineapple smoothie. I can ALWAYS finish my food except when I don’t REALLY like it or when its SUPERHEALTHY! This was YUMMY and HEALTHY! I find that UBERHEALTHY foods that have not had the snot cooked out of them as well as any nutrient that is good for you tend to fill me up quick. It’s a GREAT thing but there are NOT enough places around for me to COMPLETELYTURN over a new leaf and become a TOTALLYBUNNY muncher! But I think between 118DEGREES and Native Foods I’m well on my way to eating better more often than NOT! But time will tellas well as my waste line! I have to ADMIT that it was DELISH! They also sell chia seeds, cacao used for chocolate, maca which is GREAT for stimulating hormonal balance, amino acids and natural energy which I have NOT had since I passed the age of 6. ONLY ankle biters have NATURALENERGY that NOONE can figure out how to bottle! And they have some super food mix that was in my smoothie, coffee, tea, and dessert, breakfast, lunch dinner, and mini bites if you can believe that, and much more! It was ALLPRETTYYUMMY and SATISFYING the way all food should be! I think if I can substitute a few things without becoming a TOTAL tree hugger and HEALTHNUT I might NOT have to embrace hunger, which ISN’T working for me anyway!

Try the fresh juices! This place is super awesome, located in the heart of Downtown Anaheim. They have a small location but it seems to serve them well. The food they serve is very fresh. I had the avacado taquitos with a Green juice and it was delicious. The juice was smaller than I expected, next time I will have to try the large. I will be coming back for more!!!

I’m a non-vegan and not that into raw foods but this place is pretty darn good. It’s been added to my weekly meal routine. I like flirting with the idea of non-vegan and raw foods but don’t think I’ll be able to commit. I’ve had: pesto noodles taco thing other appetizer thing green food smoothie brownie Overall, my experience here was wonderful from the food to the service. I had dinner here around 5PM and it’s kept me full til bed time. The price is a little high but it’s worth it for quality, healthy food. This place is definitely worth a try. What I love about 118 degrees is that their staff really takes into consideration how you feel about their products as a customer. I originally gave them 3 stars because the 10 meal weekly program was not that great. I felt like the stuff they give you isn’t enough. There is so little food and it didn’t hold up well the next day. The owner let me know that the 10 meal weekly program is not meant to replace your existing meals but to supplement them. Hopefully, they could update the info on their website to be a little more direct. I gave them an extra star based on their willingness to communicate with their customers! Gotta love businesses that do that!

Story: I came here during the Art Crawl Experience(ACE). As we were walking down the streets of Anaheim we came across this small shop. Intrigued, we decided to see what they had to serve. Ambiance: It’s a very cozy area. It seats about 10 – 20 people. They played a good playlist of funk music and you have the choice to listen to that while you’re sitting outside or inside. Food: –Chocolate Mint Monkey It was a well served blended chocolate smoothie with a fresh kick of mint. Not many stores have this combo but it was a good drink to conclude my night. Customer Service: Even though they were preparing to close they didn’t turn me away. Working at a café before, I remember when workers turning away people even before it closed. Much respect to their integrity. Overall: 4 stars. The barista was friendly, the music was good, and the smoothie was refreshing. I may not check this place out any time soon but I’m glad there’s a Costa Mesa site. Advice: * Sharing is caring, this is a border line cheap/pricey area to my standards. It doesn’t buying and sharing with a friend.

I’m not vegan or vegetarian but I do enjoy a great vegetarian entrée that isn’t the standard salad, cheese pizza, etc. 118 Degrees is a unique concept by chef Jenny Ross. I’ve had an opportunity to check out her first location near my house and now this one in Anaheim. I’ve been impressed each and every time by her cooking and find it hard to believe that I’m dining on vegan food. Some of my favorite entrees are the living lasagna, stuffed mushrooms, and the various desserts. I’ve never had a bad meal here and love that I can get an awesome veggie dish if I’m craving one.

Raw foods served here. So awesome. Wish this place was closer to where I live so that I can go every single day. If you’re in a rush, don’t come here because it takes awhile for them to prepare the juices and such for you since it’s all made to order and it does take some time to juice. There’re only a few small tables around so this is more of a order to-go place. Can’t wait till my next visit here. It smells like sweat here. Probably because of all of the people come here after yoga or whatever workout they were doing. Parking: Structure Price: $ 7+ per drink Wait: 15 mins after ordering

OMG, surprisingly good! I think that’s the general consensus for the non-vegans out there like me. For me, comfort food is good ol Texas style BBQ. I’m sure the owner of this place, Jenny Ross, doesn’t really want to hear that. It’s almost like that SNL sketch this past Saturday with JT. Veganville! But really folks, you gotta try this place. It’s right across the street from Disney’s travel company. Order this: The Lemon Pesto Pasta @ $ 11 is a great sized lunch. Nutritious flavorful, you would have almost no idea you are eating zucchini if you weren’t looking. I also got the surfer sandwich. It had everything I loved, kale, zucchini, and peppers. The buckwheat bread took me a little getting used to because it’s so thick but eating it all together, it was really good. It felt… nutritious. I’m not sure if you can really feel it, but I did! So my nutritious self wanted a little something to counter act with the goodness so got the apple cobbler. I got a little taste of apple cobbler when Unilocal had a event here at the center street promenade. It was so good, I had to come back and get the full slice. It was so satisfying being able to eat a whole piece! I got to say, come here to try vegan food. If not here, at least try it somewhere but since this place does it so well, you should come here or their Costa Mesa location. Parking is a breeze in front of the shops. Note, on the weekends, it’s not that many people so it’s quite relaxing being able to stroll down here.

I was able to try 118 degrees during a CYME shopping event at the Center Shops in Anaheim. 118 degrees is located in a strip of fantastic shops and restaurants. The whole premise behind 118 degrees was developed by Jenny Ross. She has a cookbook and this is a family run business. Her Dad was giving us small bites the night of the CYME and he was super friendly. We first tried the apple cobbler which was made with apples and grains. Although it wasn’t baked, it tasted really delicious and had a baked taste without the heat. We also tried the small plate of a small zuchinni pasta dish, avocado egg roll and stuffed mushrooms. All were super delicious. We washed it down with the Yogi juice(my fav) and the Electrolyte lemonade. The electrolyte lemonade tastes close to the master cleanse. It takes a little getting used to the raw food thing, but it’s definitely a concept that takes you closer to healthy living. It is good to have an open mind in terms of culinary options and 118 degrees is a definite winner. Bonus tip: They offer cleanses and pre-made meals.

My review will strictly be on what I’ve ordered: First and foremost, no I am not a vegan I just enjoy good food & food that makes you feel good. The Baja: Refreshing & jam packed with bright flavors. However I think the dish overall was overly saturated in «wet» components which were the tahini cheese, guacamole, ranchero sauce, & tomatillo salsa. Every single bite felt as if I was wringing out the veggies with my teeth because they were literally giving off so much liquid. While I LOVE tahini, there was just too much«sour» going on in the dish in combination with the tomatillo salsa. If you’re wondering how crispy the buckwheat shell is, do no think potato chips… think more along the lines of a stale, multigrain cracker that has been pressed & compressed. The wet components caused all of the veggies to go soggy quick, which was very unpleasing texturally. Imagine soggy leafy greens. Next time I think I’ll as for the tahini cheese, ranchero sauce, & tomatillo salsa on the side to keep my dish texturally balanced. OVERALL: Definitely see myself coming back here to see what else they have to offer. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a healthier and lighter bite. Like I always say, YOUWON’T KNOWUNLESSYOUTRYITFORYOURSELF!

Amazing! Thank goodness there’s a truly healthy option in Anaheim with the opening of this raw café. 118 degrees is at which food cooks so everything here is under that temperature, AND it’s really yummy. Chef Jenny was there and explained the benefits of eating raw natural foods. I’ve never eaten raw before and the best compliment I can give is that it doesn’t taste«raw». The textures are amazing and the flavors melds together. For some reason I thought one had to cook ingredients for it to gel together, idiot me.
