Ace Motors

So my in laws went to buy a Volkswagen van from these guys, while I just went for support, I felt very uncomfortable with the whole process. When we got there, the salesman, Elmer G, greeted us, and while my in laws had already gone the day before to look at the van, and informed the dealer that the van needed some repairs like the brakes were shaky when they got there. The dealership had told them that they were going to replace them, so this day when we went in and my father in law test drove it. My father in law saw the difference, which was great!
However, the dealership that day said that they had washed it AND DETAILED IT! but the car looked dusty and the Windows looked like they were definitely not cleaned that same day. The car was delivered to us with LESS than a ¼ tank, while I insisted to Elmer that all the cars I have ever bought, (Also used, but certified) have always been full AND washed with detail rights before we leave the dealership. He just kept laughing it off! Very unprofessional.
When we actually sat down to sign the paperwork. A lot of things bothered me, ONE. every single page that my in laws signed, was not explained freely by him, until I had to ask him about what it was that my in laws were signing. When I initial or sign something I want to know exactly what it is that I’m signing.
TWO. Even Though, my father in law had communicated with this guy beforehand, that he was coming over to hopefully finalize the deal that day. We waited for well over an hour just to get him to sit down with us and start the paperwork.
THREE, which is not all that big of a deal but while waiting, nothing was offered to us, no refreshments, no estimate time when they would attend to us, nothing!
FOUR, it was already 9pm when he got to us, and it’s understandable that one wants to go home, but he seemed to just be saying «sign here» initial here” sign here, here and here, AGAIN… Without explaining any of the paperwork on his own, until I asked him about it.
Overall, the 2 stars I gave are for the car itself, nice car physically. They’ve had it for 3 days, no problems yet. Hopefully it stays like that!
I will not recommend this dealership to anyone I know, that’s for sure, very unprofessional in my opinion.
At the end, he general manager, came over and asked me what kind of car I drive, I actually informed him that I’m on the market for a little bit bigger car and he reassured me that he would be looking out for the car of my interest. In my mind I was laughing, while I politely said, yea sure.
OH.ONE LAST THING,. No warranty given on any of the cars because they buy these cars at auctions! PLUS. No second key to serve as an extra for the cars.

These guys are very scandalous. I was very interested in purchasing a Genesis. They tried to show me a Carfax that was 3 months old. When I asked to see an updated Carfax they presented me a more recent one that showed it had 20,000 less miles then the first Carfax they showed. When I asked why does the new report show less miles, the sales manager demanded I turnover the Carfax report back to him and he would not answer the question I asked. It was very obvious they were cut and pasting information and they were not very good at it. Stay Away! Crooks! They give used dealerships a bad name!

They had the car for 4 days & all they did was fix an oil leak. There were several other problems which they said they’d address, but didn’t. Hermy, the «manager» is a coward. He never answers the phone, tells his employees to make up excuses for him as to why he can’t come to the phone & he doesn’t return messages. I’ve had the car since April & I still haven’t receive my damn tags. Called & spoke to Carlos (nice enough guy), who told me they’d be here this week. Just another lie.
Thank god I have a mechanic that I trust & who doesn’t gouge prices, otherwise I’d be screwed. I’d NEVER tell anyone to go here. This place is shit.

My mom bought a car from them and literally the day later after the alternator stopped working and the owner refused to help. Don’t buy a car here.

Not too friendly, i went to see a 09 civic for $ 10,500. I drove it, the guy turn on the radio, i turn it off and he turn it on again, so i could not hear the sound the car was making, but i noticed it, he say the wet tired were making the sound, then they told me my credit was not too, BS!
$ 400 a month for 60 months hahahahah $ 24 000 for a 11K car? No thank you.

i wish there was a way to only give 0 stars, nothing went right here. I saw a Caliber on craigslist for 6499 and call and confirmed with them that I needed financing. Should have told me then that was the cash price but they didnt. I get there and test drive ready to fill out the paper work and George (who is supposingly a born again christian) and Carlos (who is a welder that does car sales til wielding picks up again) tells me the car is now $ 9,999 w finance price and fees is $ 11,700!!! what NO! we go back and forth and I leave. Called them and was like I dont want to pay $ 11,000 for everything and Carlos quotes me $ 9499. I go back up there (1hr drive) and was like ok lets talk. We sit down and hes like 9499 like i said PLUS FEES Im like what the fees. He says let me go get that paper work HAHAHAHA «ITS 11,500 $!!! IF YOU DONT GO GET YOUR FIRE TO METAL BUTT (would love to cuss) ON!!! He says there must have been a misunderstanding! Then tries to tell me its BC of my credit. Im like dont go that road with me Im much smarter than you. He then get his manager that knows a hand full of english words „No“ and Im sorry» to explain to me why the price is high. SMH yes I left again. These people are the worst.

I purchased a mini van to transport my children around in comfortably at the time of purchase I was not informed of a damaged frame and unibody nor was I given a complete or even with accuracy history report. Found out a year later I have been putting my childrens life at stake by trying to trade in at another dealer. They gave me the report on van that included the pages that Ace Moters left out. I was told to sign a paper that informed me that the car could be part of a rental car fleet and/​or could have frame damage as a technicality. Handed to me to sign along with the good part only of a history report. Failed to disclose what they were aware of prior so they can sell to me at rack rate. Buyers beware!!!

Wife and I got a Jeep Commander from this dealership. So far so good with the car. The only thing that only made me crap my pants when we were signing papers is the buy «AS IS» part. You don’t have any warranty on their cars. Basically its a gamble on if the car is good or if it’s a straight lemon. I’d recommend you bring a person that knows a lot about cars if you decide to get a car here. I’m happy with the Commander the only down side is it’s a V8 and eats up gas like crazy!

I bought a BMW here about 2 months ago the manager or owner was very rude and the next day I got a light on my dash saying it had no oil in it so I take it back and they make it out like it was my fault then the car keeps saying «check brake lights» even though they work (I checked them) their response to me about that issue was «if there’s nothing wrong why does it matter what it says?» And «were not BMW specialists» not a very friendly dealer won’t go back
Review edit: as of August 3^rd 2014 my check engine light is on the car isn’t changing gear properly and the ac is now not blowing cold this dealership sells lemons do not buy from them! Tomm I’m buying a honda civic coupe from Carmax bye bye BMW and bye bye ace motors!
Review edit: as of August 4^th 2014, I took my car to ace today and that new manager is wonderful! He has taken care of my issue free of charge and I get to keep my stunning little BMW which I was very sad about getting rid of! Can’t wait to get it back on Thursday and thank you Hermey for all your help! I think I may go back to ace as long as he is the manager! So my previous experience was a 1 star my feelings now are 5 stars!

Complaint Description:
Purchased vehicle 5÷24÷13. Have spent $ 911.09 in repairs. Transmission died 12÷9÷13, Ace worked on transmission 9÷12÷13. Bought the 1999 Audi A4 on May 24, 2013. Had car inspected before purchase, from mechanic down the road. Had car inspected at local oil change shop before taking a trip on June 25, 2013, topped off with oil. July 7, 2013 had to replace the spark plug wires for $ 387, out of state and stranded, also had oil change done. August 8, 2013 had issue and took it in had oil changed again at local oil change shop. The shop said had broken left CV Axle, dark trans fluid with oil leakage pinion seal on rear diff leaking. transfer case output shaft leaking. August 14, 2013 took car to back Ace they agree to fix these issues for $ 260. Got Car back September 12, 2013, they said they performed trans service, trans kit and replaced the CV axle. On October 10^th the battery died, was $ 139 to replace and install. Had Oil change done at different local oil change shop November 11, 2013. Monday December 9, 2013 Car would not drive properly, whining noise, cant recognize gear and smoke coming out. Had it towed to the most recent oil change shop, they said the transmission’s bearings and pump were beyond repair. Less than 6 months, a total of $ 911.09 of repairs and oil changes.
I paid cashier’s check $ 5,621.25. They charged me for DMV taxes/​registration, which never made it to the DMV. I received a bill from DMV and had to pay twice for registration. Ace sent me a «refund» check for a lesser amount. I never received the full refund from Ace.
Service is nice and friendly when shopping and buying the vehicle. I received personal cellphone numbers and a smile. When the vehicle started giving me trouble and I returned to Ace Motors, I received cold shoulder, and jokes about costs to repair. When the transmission died, I was told «Everything happens for a reason.»
Tried to sell the vehicle back to Ace, they wont buy, even with the repairs, that says a lot about the cars they sell.

Bought a BMW from them. so far no problems. salesman Carlos was cool!
