AJ’s Catering Home and Banquet

When I heard we were having tacos at my friend’s daughter’s birthday party, I wasn’t expecting much. Maybe some homemade tacos, nothing too spectacular. To my surprise and delight, I walked into her backyard to the smell of chicken, beef, and pork being freshly prepared by AJ’s Catering Home and Banquet.
They are based in Anaheim. My friend hired them to cater lunch at her house in Long Beach.
I love Mexican food (and all other food). This was some good quality, fresh, well seasoned meat. Two tortillas became the vessel for your choice of chicken, beef, or pork. I of course chose one of each. I ended up having a second plate. There was a table setup for everyone to add their own condiments. I added salsa, hot sauce, onions, pico de gallo, and freshly squeezed lime juice. Rice and beans were served as well, in addition to watermelon and strawberry lemonade. Classic nachos with cheese brought us full circle for a fresh, splendid meal. I did not expect to enjoy the food so much at a kid’s birthday party!
The entire setup was clean, inviting, and professionally done. I applaud these guys for their hard work. They were friendly and accommodating. I may use them the next time I need a lot of food for a large group.
