Worst experience ever renting from this company! Went to Disneyland with large group of family and was overly optimistic that I could walk for 5 days with back and arthritis issues and after 3 days could hardly move so daughter-in-law insisted on renting scooter for me . It was difficult to rent one on short notice but found one available at Apple scooter and now I know why. Scooter died on me while driving back from Disney and left me stranded on harbor blvd at midnight. My son got hold of someone from the company who asked my son “What’s your plan?” to which my son responded “ I’m talking to you - that’s my plan!” . Then he tells my son that their scooter batteries only last 8 hours and that it states that all over their website (which is a lie). Who the hell rents scooters for Disney that only last 8 hrs when Disneyland is open for 16 hrs! I rented a scooter 4 yrs previously from One Stop Mobility and had no issues with scooter battery lasting all day. Do not rent from Apple unless you want to be stranded with a dead scooter that you have to push back to your hotel! Horrible company.

Update! THEY REFUSE TO REFUND MY MONEY! I HAVE TO SUE THIS COMPANY! After several months of no contact, I disputed the charge with my credit card and they are challenging my refund! This has to be the most dishonest, crooked company I have ever dealt with. They take advantage of the disabled! Do not use this company, I would rather pay the extra money to pay at Disneyland.
I have used this company 5 times in the past two years but after what happened today, I will never use them again. They gave me two scooters that died after two hours of use, I had to push them back from Disneyland. They said new scooters would be here today but their isn’t! Terrible service!

The first time we rented from this place, we had to exchange the scooter for another since the battery would deplete within the first hour. The second time we rented, the battery wasn’t charged at all so we had to take time out of the park to charge it. Of course, if you have something wrong with the scooter and it’s after hours, you’re out of luck because they don’t have any kind of after hours service. The battery life on these scooters is awful (only lasting 3 – 4 hours) and you search the park to find an outlet.
Spend the extra money and rent from Disney! Their batteries last all day!

Rent from Disneyland instead!!! Apple scooters is a bad apple of a company. Horrible product and horrible customer service. The pictures of the scooters are not what you get!
The first day, my battery was showing full up until 4:30pm (when Apple Scooter conveniently closes.) Between 430pm and 5pm my battery went completely DEAD! I had to get pushed around by my 60 year old dad. We going around trying to find outlets and getting kicked out of stores for using their outlets! I called and called Apple Scooter and no one was picking up (they were closed) and it said that their mailbox was full so I couldn’t leave a message (probably filled by other customer complaints). The next day the same thing happened. My scooter went dead at 4:40pm! Apple Scooter’s hours close at 4:30pm. I called and called with no luck and their answering machine was full AGAIN. I wasted 3 hours being pushed around plugging in my scooter at any outlet I could find. The battery is old and my scooter itself had duct tape on it as well (which I took a picture of).
I chose Apple Scooter rather than renting a scooter from Disneyland for 3 reasons. #1 It’s $ 60 for two days rather than Disneyland $ 100 for two days. (In hindsight, the $ 100 would have been worth it! If anything were to happen to your scooter, Disneyland would accommodate you and give you another one.) Reason #2, they deliver to your hotel! #3 They CLAIM that it travels up to 16 MILES! I called the next day to complain that this experience completely ruined my trip.
He said, «Why didn’t you call?»
I said, «I did!!! You were conveniently closed and you mailbox was full!!! I thought that maybe the battery was not charged completely the night before so I gave it another chance. Nope! Your batteries are old. „
I told him that my 60 year old dad had to push me around, that my trip was ruined, that if I would have had to be pushed, I would have just rented a wheelchair. I told him that it was false advertising to claim that the scooter goes up to 16 miles. (I think they get away with this because of the key words: up to)
He interrupted me and said, „No, not 16 hours.“
I said, „I didn’t say 16 hours. I said 16 miles!“
There was a long pause.
He said, „Well there is nothing we can do.“
I said, „Really? Nothing? You can’t give me a discount or something? I am completely unsatisfied and your product ruined my trip.“
He said,“ Well, the billing department isn’t in right now (yeah right). I’ll have them call you tomorrow.»
I said, «Alright well thanks» (knowing very well that I would never hear from them and guess what!!! They have NOT called. This was 10 days ago.)
Unfortunately I only saw the reviews on THEIR website. I could have known better to look on Unilocal FIRST.
{At a previous Disneyland trip when I wasn’t injured, I kept track of my miles I walked the entire day. It was a really slow week day in September so we went on so many rides! I walked 12 miles that day. The next day was 9 miles. There is NO WAY I went 16 miles from 8AM to 430PM on a very extremely crowded July day at Disneyland. I went on a grand total of 5 rides.}

My second trip to Disneyland meant that another scooter rental was in order. And, in order to try to keep costs down, I needed to find a reliable and more affordable option than my previous scooter provider (see previous review from my May visit). I decided to give Apple Scooter a shot despite the mixed reviews. I’m glad to report that Apple Scooter provided the option I was looking for. Since they were about a block away from the park entrance, I opted to pick up/​return the scooter at their location (for me, it was more convenient than their offer to deliver/​pick up at the hotel). The online ordering process was easy and made the pick-​up process very smooth… I even got a few usage tips from the staff that was very helpful. The scooter performed flawlessly. About the only minor issue I had was the very large and obvious «RENT ME» sign that is attached to the front basket… pretty vain on my part to take issue with that, but that doesn’t mean I wouldn’t rent from them again when I visit again in a couple of months. Thanks Apple Scooter!

I really didn’t want to rent a scooter but one short trip to downtown Disney in a «walking boot» left me trying to find something last minute. I called Apple and was told I could come pick up the scooter. When I asked for their hours I was told «9am to 4pm.» When I arrived shortly before 3pm there was a closed sign on the door and the place was empty. By that point almost everyone else had closed and I ended up with a company that charged way more than others but by that time I had no other options. Had Apple told me they were closing earlier I would have arranged for a ride earlier or researched other companies while they were still open.

I don’t want to give any stars but that’s not an option. We rented a scooter for my mother to get around Disneyland for a few days. When we arrived at the hotel the scooter was there and waiting. It was in terrible shape, chunks missing from the arm rests and the handles were held together with duct tape. It ran and that was the important thing. We spent the evening in Downtown Disney with no issues and made it back to the hotel fine. The hotel charged it over night and all was good the next day. My mom shut it off every time we were parked for even 5 minutes and the whole 3 hours we were parked waiting for the parade. On the way back to the hotel it died in the middle of Harbor Blvd. The battery indicator light showed full charge! We had to push her back to the hotel. The next morning we called to get a replacement scooter. Lost an hour and half waiting for a return call and after two more calls finally got a replacement scooter delivered. Off we went even though the back of the seat was broken and my mom was almost laying down in the thing (thank goodness we had a blanket and sweaters to prop her up). Two hours in Ca. Adventure the thing dies. We found a spot to plug her in and charged it for an hour. Last a few hours and had to be charged again. Made it through the rest of the day and it died on the way back to the hotel. Hotel charged it overnight. We headed out the next morning and made it 15 minutes into Disneyland when the thing died again. Called and they told us to take it over to where Disney rents scooters and they could put it on a super charger. Disney said there was no way of doing that because the chargers were different. I hate being lied to. Called Apple and told them they could pick up their fricken scooter at customer relation. Rented my mom a Disney scooter and never had an issue. On one of our several calls to Apple they told us we should be charging the scooter at lunch and dinner and any time we stop for long periods of time. Really??? We never saw anyone else doing this. Their scooters are garbage. Find someone else or rent directly from Disney.

I have rented scooters for number of years now. My hotel recommended Apple scooters. Their reservation system was simple easy. The pricing appeared more than fair. The unit they delivered looked good but the battery was extremely weak. They say I should’ve complained but I didn’t find out until it was too late. I don’t believe this company maintains their equipment as well as others do. When I needed to get an invoice but it took four phone calls and I never did have a return call which I requested four times as well from a member of management. I will not rent from this company again.

I would give this place 0 stars if I could. TERRIBLE!!!
We ordered two scooters for our three days in Disneyland. We had them delivered to our hotel, which they were.
Scooter one: ran great for two and a half days. Never lost a charge. However, when the key was dropped and couldn’t be located, numerous calls to Apple Scooters went unreturned. Very frustrating. Scooter had to be pushed back to our hotel.
Scooter two: FULL of problems. Day one, scooter died toward the end of the day. We plugged it in for two hours at dinner. Lasted maybe another hour. Had to be pushed back to our hotel from Downtown Disney. Calls went unanswered. The hotel called repeatedly for us. They would not deliver a new scooter until they spoke to us. One was finally delivered morning of day two.
Day two, the second scooter ran for not even four hours. We found a plug in and charged it. Called Apple Scooter. Finally they agreed to deliver a new one outside the turnstiles. This one was a different model, and ran for 8 hours until we got back to our hotel.
Day three, the scooter was fine at first. But after hour seven it died, and we were able to charge it. We charged it throughout dinner as well. The battery would not hold a charge. We charged it for a couple hours, and then headed to downtown Disney. Right outside World of Disney it died. We charged it for a half hour, made it outside the entrance, and it died. Ended up having to push it back to our hotel.
TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. So much hassle to get a new scooter. Three scooters that would not hold a charge is ridiculous. We followed instructions and charged them.
Once we got back to our hotel the last night, the gentleman at reception said,“we never recommend this company. Their customer service is awful.“
Take it from me, don’t rent from them. Call your hotel and ask who they recommend. Lots of hassle and frustration from renting from them!!!

If you had asked me 3 weeks ago I would have sounded like a spokesperson for this business! Now I feel bad that I have ever recommended them!!! I rented a scooter for a week in April for a Disney Vacation. From the beginning of the trip I was having a problem with the scooter stopping. if on an incline or decline it would roll. I ended up in a busy street because of this once. On the 3^rd day I had the scooter the battery went dead 3 hours into my day. I thought that the hotel staff didn’t charge it but I was not worried because the company had said there was free battery replacement. I called number on the scooter, and got no answer and their mailbox was full so I couldn’t leave a message! I called 15 more times over the next hour! could not get a hold of anyone. I then tried all the numbers I could find online. I couldn’t get a hold of anyone! this started at 2:30pm! I finally ended up pushing the scooter that had the faulty brake that caught the wheel every 3^rd revolution, to the apple store which was of course closed, and then to my hotel! Outside the store I was able to get a local number. it still was not answered but, I was able to leave a message. At my hotel I plugged the scooter in myself and left it till the next morning. the next day the same thing happened! it looked as though it had a full charge but went dead in about 3 hours! Again could not get a hold of Apple! I also received no call back from them regarding the battery or the brake! Left yet another message! luckily the hotel figured out the problem was a loose connection on the charger and they fixed it and let it charge. I went 2 days without a scooter that I paid for! I will never use this company again! I still have not heard from them!

Save yourself the heartache… renting from Apple Scooter put a major crimp in our vacation. Rented a scooter for our week long Disney trip for my father who has very limited mobility due to MS and would be incapable of going on the trip without some form of mobility assistance. Chose to rent our scooter from Apple then the problems began.
#1. Reserved scooter online. Selected hotel for delivery. Verified hotel in confirmation email, scooter was delivered to the wrong hotel.
#2. Scooter they delivered was in horrific shape. Giant chunks missing from the floor board, creating sharped jagged plastic edges. Also the seat was torn up, exposing the foam stuffing inside the seat, super comfortable for all day sitting, right? This wouldn’t have been the end of the world if the scooter worked well but… it didn’t.
#3. Scooter battery was shot, only held like a 90 minute charge. You can see all of Disneyland in 90 minutes, right?
#4. Called and asked for a replacement, Customer Service rep was rude, saying we were probably operating it wrong. What? First of all, as a result of my father’s chronic mobility issues, we own our own scooter, we know how to operate them. secondly, stand by your product/​service and assist your paying customer!
#5. They finally agreed to replace the scooter, we had to leave Disneyland and meet them at some other hotel (as they wouldn’t return to our hotel?) Delivered a new scooter, problem solved… right?
#6. NOPE … new scooter only 20% charged upon delivery. Thought maybe they were caught off guard by new delivery request, went home, charged overnight, next day back in the park… only held a 60 – 90 minute charge. WHAT? Ended up having to put the replacement scooter in neutral and PUSH it out of the park and back to our car!
#7. Called on a Saturday morning to talk about the new scooter… no answer. no ability to leave a message.
#8. Called on a Sunday … no answer, no ability to leave a message…
#9. Get someone live on the phone on Monday explain the situation,” I’ll have a supervisor call you back immediately.” No call, surprise… 6 hours later, after I called again, I was able to talk to a supervisor. Basically told me, «your vacation ends tomorrow, what would you like me to do about it now?»
Although we were very proactive with Apple Scooter, securing the rental months in advance, it was pointless. Their product was embarrassing and their service was appalling We ended up having to park their scooter at the park (due to the battery issues) and renting a scooter from Disneyland anyway. The Disney scooters lasted all day with no problem, whereas the Apple scooters couldn’t even make it to lunchtime.
DO NOT USE APPLE SCOOTERS. Bad Product and even worse customer service!

Awesome customer service! Jeff went above and beyond! Even after I had given him the wrong address for delivery (stayed at a private vacation home rental) they contacted the owner and delivered it! Had no problems!

Had a fantastic experience renting my Scooter from Apple when I went to Disneyland on Oct 4^th. They delivered it to the hotel room and picked it up on the day we left. Hassle free and very nice communication between me and the employee on the day when they came to pick it up. They are the cheapest around and unlike renting them from the park you’re able to go to Downtown Disney with it. I couldn’t be happier. I recommend then highly

I’ve got a herniated disc in my back which doesn’t allow me to stand for long periods or walk long distances. I decided to rent a scooter for our 5-​day family trip to the Disneyland Resort and I’m glad I did. The scooter made the trip fun instead of a grind.
I chose Apple over another recommended service because Apple has a website. I reserved online about six weeks in advance to make sure I got one. I called a few days ahead of the trip to verify and everything was good to go. As promised, the scooter was waiting, fully charged, at the front desk of the Grand Californian. The bell staff even brought it to my room.
The scooter was used but in good shape. The rear wheel squeaked a bit but never presented a problem and you couldn’t hear it in the parks with all the ambient noise. I used it all day, taking an afternoon break after mornings in the park and then going back out in the evenings. The battery indicator never moved. I plugged it in whenever I was in the room but I’m convinced you could go all day without a charge.
At the end of the trip, I dropped it off at the bell desk and that was that. Super easy and the scooter ran great. It was comfortable and it fit easily in all the accessible queues. Plenty of power and speed when you wanted it, but you could dial down the speed so you didn’t get out of control in the crowds. I wouldn’t hesitate to use Apple again.

Horrible experience!
I booked a reservation (I thought), using apple scooter’s website on 5÷28÷14 for three days to start the rental on 5÷29÷14. I entered the dates, type of scooter needed and my credit card information. I even got a confirmation number. To make the long story short, I contacted apple scooters while I was heading to Disneyland to let them know we were running late. Whoever answered the phone said: «I tried to get a hold of you earlier. We won’t have a scooter available until Saturday». Really? My reservation was from Thursday to Saturday. I replied: How come I got a reservation number if no scooter was available? He said: oh, that was just to check availability. Really? Since when can you book for a rental, get a confirmation number, to be told later, sorry, no rental? Confirmations are to CONFIRM your booking. RIDICULOUS. Luckily, I found a company called A scooter 4 u. This company is great. They were very professional, my scooter was dropped off at my hotel right away and I get to keep the scooter rental longer. Free delivery/​pickup and what’s most important, no issues. Never again apple scooters!

Amazing service and the scooter was nearly brand new! Jeff called me to confirm the reservation the day before my rental and answered nearly 20 questions I had for him. He was kind, patient, and gracious. I hurt both of my ankles recently and had my 5 year old in tow so I was almost ready to cancel when thinking of everything it entailed. But Jeff was reassuring and great and I’m so glad! We had one of the best days we’ve ever had at Disneyland! We were there from open to close and the scooter battery only lost 1 of about 10 lights.
Jeff was even kind enough to have his driver meet us closer so I didn’t have to walk too far. The driver adjusted everything for me and answered all of questions.
I am so pleased with Apple Scooter that I pretty much sold 2 strangers in the park with wheelchairs on renting with Apple next time! Great job! And thank you!

I am very disappointed with this company. We had rented a wheelchair for my mom for Disneyland and had a confirmation to pickup at 8am. We get there and there was nobody in the store. Pitch black. We had to call about 5 or 6 times before we got a person to talk to and they tried to tell us that they called us the night before and left us a message saying their hours changed to 9am (when their door and website said 8am). We never had any calls or messages from them. They wanted us to wait a whole hour for them to open the store! When the whole point of us wanting an early pickup was so we could be at the park first thing when they opened. Needless to say we cancelled our reservation. And better not be charged a penny. If they wanted to be business minded, maybe they should open before Disneyland opens! And maybe not confirm an 8 am pickup if they don’t plan on showing up to work on a Saturday morning! Just horrible.

I was very happy about my recent scooter rental for my Disneyland trip! While recuperating from pneumonia, I needed to make sure I had a scooter I could ride back to my hotel and throughout downtown disney/​the parks. My scooter was amazing, it barely even showed any battery usage after a full day through both parks!
I chose Apple Scooter because of their web page presence that also included all rental information, prices, and had online reservations available. The scooter was waiting at my hotel when I arrived, and the price was quite reasonable. Thanks!

So glad we found this company online and called them to rent a stroller for the last 2 days of our Disneyland trip. Our 5 year old barely made it through 12 hours of walking the first day and we were too tired and sore to carry him even though we are both athletic. The price was amazingly affordable, the were able to deliver same day and they made pick up and return of our stroller rental very quick and convenient for us by leaving it at the hotel bell desk. The stroller was nice, clean and durable. Highly recommend getting a stroller from Apple Scooters during your trip to any of the Anaheim theme parks.

I was extremely pleased not only with the service but with the scooter. The scooter was ready (2 hrs prior to when I requested) and the charge hardly moved from full the whole time I was at Disney. The price is far less than what Disney charges and I was able to take it on the Monorail and throughout Downtown Disney. Thank you Apple Scooter, I will rent from you again!

I was very pleased with the service and rates from this company. I called them in the morning that we’d be checking into the Disney Paradise Pier Hotel about 4 PM. We arrived early and the scooter was there. We picked it up from the bellman. It was in top notch shape. The rental for 2 days with tax was about $ 70. Much less than renting at Disneyland plus it allowed us to go from the hotel to Disney Downtown and the 2 theme parks. Disney rentals aren’t allowed out of their parks so we would have had a problem getting to them or any of the locations.
