This is by far the worst pizza decision a human being can make. The hot wings would come out of a precooked heat and eat Tyson chicken wing bag. And they charged an arm and a leg for them like they did anything more than run them through the pizza oven. I ordered a can of Coke and paid 1.25 the lady took my money and walked to the laundry next door and paid $.75 for a can in the vending machine and walked it over. The owner was a shady woman who would hand out coupons and then say they weren’t valid. The other business owners in the area all hate her because she does nothing more than stir the pot and cause problems. If this place has really gone out of business then a big service has been done to the city of Anaheim.

my heart is broken over the fact that I have to write this update. sadly, even in THIS economy, eateries can’t resist the temptation to let the quality & the prices play on teeter-totter. last week, I ordered a jalapeño pizza and food that the price had risen from $ 5& change to over $ 7. also, something was different about the pizza as well. the crust is thicker, the cheese was rubbery & tasteless, and the sauce was just red gunk with no flavor. I did, however, try a beef tamale & enjoy that a bit. but alas, OC seems to be supporting my theory that nothing seems to stay good down there.

Buena Pizza has the decorations from the previous owner of «Aloha Pizza.» It’s got the Hawaiian theme going on with the surfboard hanging on the wall. It’s kind of corny, but I like the fact that the place doesn’t look commercial. It’s very much a family business(the owner even has pics of his kids hanging on the wall). He and his wife and kids operate the establishment. They don’t deliver. When they first opened, I think they did. But, I’m not complaining as they are walking distance from me and their food is great. I like their tamales. I think the crappy thing is that the donut shop next door tossed up a sandwich sign, which Buena Pizza also offers. Because of the conflict of interest, Buena Pizza offers tamales to die for. One time, my husband and I headed out to Lancaster, it was going to be a LOOOONG drive. Buena Pizza was not opened due to the holiday, but we thought they were because their door was open. The owner happened to be running errands and had to make a stop at his business, but when we walked in he said he was closed. We were like, «Awww man… we wanted to buy some tamales for our trip.» He stopped what he was doing and said, «I will make them for you. What kind do you want?» We didn’t know! We just wanted tamales. They are all good. He gave us a variety of chicken, cinnamon raison, pork, beef… He actually stayed and served us on his day off. Now that’s great customer service! We used to order from Pizza Hut all the time, but my kids beg us for Buena Pizza instead because they don’t have the greasy pan pizza taste. I’ve recently begun a plant-based diet, so I have been missing out on their delicious pizza, however I bought some for my family today, with hot wings for my husband(he loves their hot wings) and a garden salad for me with Italian dressing. I uploaded pics for your convenience. PS They cater. Also, if you are sick of Subway Sandwiches, try Buena Pizza’s…when I was eating meat, I loved their meatball sandwich. It’s waaaay better than Subway’s.

I’ve only had the pizza and I was surprised how good it was. I’ve gone here twice and both times the pizza was really good. I would not recommend eating inside as it is small and not the nicest place to to sit and eat. Ordering to go is the best option. Pizza is usually ready for pickup 15 min after ordering over the phone. Good place for a good, quick, low cost pizza.

3 ½ stars. pretty good pizza here, at a decent price. i had pepperoni and pineapple today — $ 9.50 before tax. the crust was good with the right balance of chewy and crustyness, and a bit of crunch at the end of the slice. its a good tasting crust, much better than pizza hut/dominos/papa johns. cheese was cheezy. with a lot of flavor. pizza sauce, flavorful but wish it a little less salty, and that there was more of it. toppings were tasty and abundant. can’t compare this place to costco’s 1-star grease pizzas. they are in different leagues. by the way, sam’s club pizza is much better than costco. also tried the chicken tamale. it was okay but i wouldn’t recommend it. the chili sauce provided with it was no bueno. overall, its better than the big name pizza places, and definitly better than what-a-lotta pizza which is just a few blocks away. the pizza here is pretty well made and deserves a solid 3 ½ star rating. only complaint is a slighty too salty sauce which is made more apparent by the thin crust. try the place out, i’m glad i did

I live right down the street from this place and have tried almost all the pizza places in my area. I was kinda put off when I saw their banner advertising tamales and a pizza joint, so I never went. Well, tonight I knew I would be a slave to my computer reporting the passing of legendary DJAM, so I decided I’d go grab some pizza(good thing I did yoga earlier) and a lottery ticket while I was at it. The hole-in-the-wall joint was very HOT, and they have a pretty no nonsense menu consisting of pizzas, sandwiches, tamales and a few pasta dishes. It is family owned and operated and your pie is made fresh to order. 20 minutes later, I had a fresh out of the oven pie to bring home and for $ 11 for a !6″ pie, with thin crust, nice gooey cheese and good pepperoni, I found a great place to get pizza. I wish they delivered, but with it just being down the street, I can not have to order that horrible box tasting, nasty ass, chain of 30 minutes or less pizza crap ever again

GOODEATS I have tried all the local(non chain) Pizzas in my area. This is the farthest one from my home and the best one I visited. «I will return» 11/20/2009. This is the place that introduced me to Unilocal.Yes I met the owner. The only negative remark I can make is each time I read this review I immediately get hungry.

Buena Pizza is exactly what it sets out to be — the neighborhood pizza shop on the corner. Nothing extraordinary but also nothing falling short of the ordinary. Thin slice NY style pizza found here, with amazing $ 6 deal for large cheese pizzas!!! You know it’s family owned when you see a huge stand-alone fan in place of AC!

I have always seen this place on my way to the 405 freeway. I’ve lived down the street my whole life and never bothered to come in. but man, am i sure glad i finally did. My boyfriend and i have come here the past 3 days. It is soooo cheap and so delicious. I have tipped every time and will continue to each time i come. I almost feel that it is not fair if someone were not to tip them, because everything is such a great price. So far we have had the pizza, pepperoni large=12 slices for 6.99, Meatball sandwich. Turkey sandwich/half. The half was so big they actually had to cut the half in half. Pastrami sandwich, garlic bread, and salad. All of the sandwiches are the same price, half 3.75/full 6.00 Everything i have had here is so scrumptious that this has become our new favorite spot. Not a bad thing to say about this place. btw, they also have tamales. potato and cheese, pork, chicken, and beef. I am planning on trying some next time, which will more than likely be tomorrow =)

Small moms-and-pops-run joint. Good lunch deals. I usually pop in here when I’m late for work. I stop in real quick, order a slice of pizza, and I’m on my way within 2 – 3 mins. Their crust is actually pretty good. And it’s not toooooooo greasy like some pizza parlors. Their whole pizzas seem a lil’ expensive for being a moms-and-pops joint, though. I think I’ll just stick to the Costco $ 10 whole combo pizza when I need more.

The best sandwich shop and all other foods shop you could ever find. The prices are dirt cheap 2 – 4 for a six inch sandwich that you can get with soda and chips. I don’t know why but my boyfriend and I have rated this our favorite sandwich place. It is family owned, so you don’t have to deal with corporate crap. If the owners recognize you after a while they memorize your sandwich, haha. They also always talk to me about what’s going on in my life and ask about my mom, boyfriend and dogs, Also its right next to a liquor store and a little farther down the street is an animal clinic. So while you drop off your puppy or kitty you can get a bite to eat. All of the people that work at the vet eat there too!
