Pros: OPENTILL2 am. Vast menu. Cons: Stiff behavior of staff. Seemingly not so clean restaurant. Most dishes seems similar in taste, like using same basic soy sauce, garlic sauce etc. ENTREEDOESNOTCOMEWITHANYAMOUNTOFRICE. Which is weird because rice is part of the main course Chinese food? They can’t make adjustment/switch of drinks or appetizers of same price and same category in combination dishes(like switching 2⁄3 pieces of(meat)wontons for 1 veggie roll as one doesn’t eat meat or pork) I mean, that’s the whole point yo! To be customer friendly so they visit again? or may be not so much for this restaurant. Not showing up here unless it’s too late for wholesome dinner. They throw half filled smallest plastic container if you ask for chili sauce. Throw one in already without being asked and couple more if being asked it’s Chinese restaurant yo! Anyway it’s just suggestion and not a reason for lame number of stars they have received.

Worst customer service I have ever received at a restaurant. The cashier was rude and unprofessional and I will not be coming here ever again. I ordered for take out and the food did come out prompt which was a plus however, when I was paying I wanted to put some cash and the rest on card since I didn’t have enough cash. I tried explaining to him I didn’t have enough cash calmly and with a smile on my face but he lashes out on me, in an aggressive tone«NO» and argues harshly right in my face, while I’m there still acting calm and smiling because in no way I would I act like he was acting in public. He then starts to talk about us to the other customers about us and to the chefs. So rude and not once apologized. I have worked in the restaurant business all my life and not once have a seen such a behavior like this. Customer service will not be something that’s there if you are looking for it. The food was also bleh. Very greasy and lacked flavor. I ordered the combination appetizer, beef in garlic sauce and the shrimp fried rice. The shrimp fried rice was the most decent out of the three. Neither less though, never again for me.

This place is awful. Ordered takeout and took an hour and a half. The food wasn’t anything special. Wasn’t bad or good. The kicker is I paid $ 31 to get the smallest portion I’ve ever gotten from any Chinese food place.

Choy’s sits at the corner of Ball and Dale in a dingy strip mall behind Orange County Buddhist Church. So often I smelled the cooking food wafting across the OCBC parking lot this time I gave in when my eldest daughter said Chinese for din din it was a no brainer. Choy’s is no high end C-joint but then they never claimed to be either. But it is a place you can come to get a belly full of decent Chinese food for a fair price. Also it’s one of the few places in Anaheim(or OC for that matter) where you can get late night food as they are open until 2am. So After dropping #2 daughter off at OCBC for Girl Scouts #1 daughter and I walked to Choy’s. We decided to get a family meal for 3 so we’d be sure to have leftovers for a midnight snack. #1 is a picky eater but she quickly found an item she liked. The 3x Family meal offers a dozen or so standard Chinese choices and comes with pork fried rice and cream cheese wontons in addition to your 3 picks, $ 45 after tip n tax. FOOD We chose: Spicy Orange Chicken Sweet & Sour Pork Mongolian Beef Pork Fried Rice Cream Cheese Won-Ton TASTE: All were pretty large portions more than enough for three. Spicy Orange Chicken … not spicy tasting but more your average O-chicken Sweet & Sour Pork … Again a plain Jane version of this dish, kind of heavy on the breading. Mongolian Beef … A pretty good rendition, tender meat Pork Fried Rice … some pretty tasty rice, got extra to go for breakfast next day Cream Cheese Won-Ton … nothing special, a bit overcooked, *add chili paste to sauce SERVICE: Food came quick and the waiters checked on us many times. Not bad for a hole in the wall spot. Overall it was not great but not bad either. Probably be back

My favorite Chinese restaurant. Great for families as they have deals. Beyond that, the food is great, every dish I’ve had has been great. From the kung pao chicken, orange chicken, pork fried rice, chicken chow mein, and the wontons. Open until 2pm everyday, this is a great late night spot. Yes, the interior is dated, but look beyond that. The food is great, and that’s why I eat here. Glad I was introduced to this spot, and I will keep introducing others! Good chinese food and I would definitely recommend.

My friends vouch for choy’s as the best Chinese food in the area so we ordered for carry out although they also deliver! Maybe my review is a bit skewed because I had a stomach ache afterwards but maybe I’m just not used to greasy Chinese food because I did not get sick —walnut shrimp: just okay I’ve had better —sautéed string beans: always a winner at Chinese restaurants —combination chow mein: also alright —fries: why would we order these here? My friend is in love with fries haha NOTE: they don’t take credit cards over the phone

Let me preface this review by saying this was a home delivery order. I probably would have gave the establishment 3-star rating, but thanks to their delivery person I was really torn between rating them as a 1 star or 2 star at the most. I opted for 2 stars… and following is my actual review. I placed an online order via Grubhub because the extra charge for home delivery was only $ 2.00, while other services were charging $ 6 or more. I ordered Choy’s dinner for two option. It provided fried wontons, pork fried rice, and 1 entrée person(2 total). Plus, I added on wonton soup for the both of us. The cost with delivery and sales tax was just under $ 30 because Grubhub gave me a $ 7 discount for being a first time customer. I placed the order at 7pm and was given an estimate of 1 hour to receive our order. I thought that was a bit excessive, but it would have taken me that long, or longer, to cook it myself. At around 8pm the driver calls me because he can’t locate my apartment. I asked him where he was and he kept saying«I’m here.» Obviously, he wasn’t or he wouldn’t be calling to find me. I repeated my address at least 4x. I had given detailed directions in my order, but I repeated it all again. He starts yelling at me how he is EXACTLY where I’ve directed. Back & forth this goes, and then he hangs up on me. A few minutes later, I get another call. This time from one of the tenants in the building. He walks the inept driver to my location. I finally get the food and the guy has the nerve to ask for a tip. Fine, I gave him the tip I had planned to give him, but I will **NEVER** order from this place again. The food was okay, but nothing to brag about(and I’m not saying this just because the driver was a jerk). The rice was dry, we didn’t get any soy sauce or hot mustard – both of which I requested at time of ordering. We go no plates or napkins. Yet, we were charged top notch prices. Too bad for them because we love Chinese food, and too bad for us because they are open late. However, I refuse to be verbally abused by someone who does not know how to read, follow directions, or ask for help politely. Perhaps they should train their drivers on how to use a GPS either a TomTom or similar or even the one loaded on most phones. To sum things up, we were very disappointed.

OK I ordered the food for delivery and a 2 liters soda. The food took about an hour and half to get to me. The soda was warm and the driver didn’t even bring hot sauce or chopsticks. Totally unacceptable I prepaid a 20% tips it’s not like I could ask for the back nor did I wanted to but come on warm soda and no chopsticks??? By the way the food was good no complaints there but you guy have to step up the service. Oh and I live only about 25 mins or less from the restaurant.

I haven’t gotten the food yet but this guy was so nice on the phone and suggested the most perfect deals for me. He was just the definition of customer service. I called him at 12:40 on a Wednesday night and had Chinese food delivered to my door. It is going to take like an hour he said but where the hell else are you going to get Chinese delivered to your door at this hour for a decent price. There’s a 2 $ delivery fee and 20 $ minimum but if u been drinkin or doing anything else, or just cant drive… and u want Chinese at the push of a button after hours? RIGHTHERE. Can’t wait till I get this food… stay posted and I’ll take pics and let u know how perfect it was. This is going to be amazing. Serious

So i came here last night with my boyfriend around 1 am. Since they opened so late we were just excited to have some late night chinese food and to goed veggie chow mein and sweet and sour shrimp. The total came to about about $ 19, i just thought to myself, this better be some legit chinese food. We were eating and for some reason became REALLLY tired and fell asleep with no control what soever. We woke up around 3:30 and my bf thought maybe they put a lot of MSG, I was thinking maybe since we were eating so late we probably fell asleep right after eating the food. In the morning, I woke up with my swollen. Not like a serious food allergic reaction, more like I cried all night kind of swollen– something you get when you have MSG. Well, I didn’t think too much of it and had some of the left over for lunch. BAM. i fell asleep again right after eating. Maybe its just me but i don’t know, i’ve never felt that way after eating chinese food before. or any food.

So, Ive been wanting a lot of Chinese lately. I don’t know why, but, I don’t want«fast food» Chinese. I want more restaurant style, Chinese food. Im sure most people can taste the difference between«fast food» Chinese, and legit Chinese food. So, our friend recommended Choy’s Asian Café. I already have a favorite Chinese Food restaurant, but its all the way in San Clemente!!! I need something a bit closer… so we tried this place! We pulled up the menu on line. We called in our order. We ordered Fried Rice, Coconut Shrimp, and Eggplant w/garlic sauce. It took about 20 minutes. This place is open till 2am, which is AWESOME. We picked our order up around 11pm, around that time. The guy was very nice inside. Our order was ready. The price is about the same at all Chinese food places. This place has great portions. The Coconut Shrimp was great. I liked it… the Shrimp were crispy, and covered in Coconut sauce. My husband had the Eggplant w/garlic sauce. We both liked it, but my husband was disappointed because its suppose to be spicy. We even asked for it to be extra spicy, and it wasn’t spicy ATALL. We also ordered fried rice. Ive never seen just FRIEDRICE on a menu. No meat, just the rice and egg. I love all Fried Rice… but I like that this place has the option of just fried rice. So we will be back!!! I really enjoyed it. I love the prices, its close, its open late. Just make sure that if you order your food spicy, that you check it, especially if its takeout. That is our only complaint, and I will follow up with future visits!!! Give this place a try!!!

Came here after going to Round 1 because we were hungry and nothing was open that late on New Year’s day. Restaurant is a hole in the wall but the servers were really attentive. Ordered the chicken fried rice and the salt and pepper pork chops. The fried rice was a bit on the oily side but it was still tasty. The porkchops were good but not amazing, I wish it had bones in them because I love my salt and pepper spareribs/porkchops bone in. We were given some fried chow mein noodles when we sat down and we got BOTH a fortune cookie and an almond cookie when we got the bill! I really enjoyed the almond cookie because it brought back childhood memories of when I used to eat them a lot!

Have ordered from here several times but this last time was horrible. We ordered 3 chicken dishes, and sadly the food was spoiled. I thought it was just me but another colleague of mine mentioned that it tasted sour. I pull apart the pieces of chicken and they smelled gross. Most times I’ve ordered it has been tasty but idk what the heck they were smoking when they decided to sell me spoiled chicken. Will never be ordering from here agin sadly. Choy’s you guys have failed as a restaurant and I’m going to turn away your business from all 496 rooms at my hotel. Thank your selves for the loss.

Normally their food is spot on, but last night i was pissed. i been here dozens of times and they never fail me, but Jesus Christ. last night was the worst. maybe because it was a holiday or new cook. but i tip big and i expect my to-go food to be spot on. Here is an honest review. 1. Mongolian Beef was more like mongolian onion. 2. Cheese Wontons were burned. not happy about that right there.

This place isn’t too bad, it’s a great place to go for a family Chinese place that’s open late night near my house. Actually, the reason why I came here is because I’m quite the night owl and they have a banner reading open until 2am. I’ve been here many times and the service is always consistent. I really like the orange chicken here because it always has a nice fresh feel to them and they taste good as well. Me and my girlfriend usually gets fried rice with it. Whether I stay or take out, they’re fast and friendly.

Closes at 2am. They were pretty nice and attentive. Food came fresh. They sat us quick. Brought us water and green tea with I forgot but something to snack on while we wait. They had a tv. They were very attentive and cleaned takes quick. My only thing was after I visited the restroom which was clean to wash my hands the good was there. They brought us an extra plate but my hubby and I share so I moved the plate. They gentleman asked if we were using the plate. We said no. He took the plate and put it back on the plate stack. What if I didn’t wash my hands. He just contaminated his hand and the person next to use that plate. My hands were washed but just the point. Anything that touches the table is automatically washed. Other then that. The whole experience was great. We got there at midnight.

Two times I have ordered from this place and two times the overpriced, but good food was not worth the extended wait and rude service. The first visit, I ordered items I would like and showed up to pick it up. The man there was curt and unhelpful. As I signed the bill I noticed a 5.00 tip already on the check. I specifically asked is this your tip? And they said yes. So I left no more tip, that 5 was already over 20%. The man then acted incredulous and offended and was incredibly rude as I left the building. I decided to give it a second shot and ordered online for delivery. Again, the food was expensive but good. However, it took nearly an hour to deliver without any indication of how long it would take. Keep in mind, I live less than 1.5 miles down a main road from them. I left a small tip this time for the long delivery and rude service and in surprisingly the delivery guy asked and complained three times about the tip while he copied my credit card and had me sign the bill. He asked when he arrived, when he first pulled out the bill, and again before he left before and stormed off. Again, I left a small tip and paid the delivery fee. I ended up paying 30 for an okay portion of orange chicken which tasted great and an okay portion of sweet sour chicken. This was all topped off with fried rice which was great. Good food, way over priced, and terrible service.

Sorry, but for the price, I’d rather head over to Royal Capital Seafood in Westminster for their lunch special. Better price, better food, and just a cleaner restaurant. Only problem is they don’t open late and they don’t offer delivery. But the food is that good, so just take your butt over there. They accept phone orders too for takeouts. Google for their menu or ask for a menu when you head over there. As for the food here, it seems like everything taste the same and is cooked in the same black sauce. The people are«nice», but the I’m here for the food. And honestly, these are like Chinese Fast Food at Gourmet style prices. The only one who I found«rude» was the young guy. After we added an order of Fried Fish, the older man went to ask how long it would take. And the young guy said in Cantonese«sec gou» or «eat dogs». Like he was mad we ordered something that took 20 or so minute to prepare at around midnight. Again, if you think the food here is good. Head over the Royal Capital Seafood.

Where do I start? Geez. I was excited to try out a new place. There’s a reason why we ALWAYS drove past this on Magnolia. Folks, beware. You’re paying for inedible and tasteless food. $ 32 for nothing but pure crap. We ordered to-go: Mongolian chicken with easy green onions(they tape the boxes. You’re unable to open and inspect the food. They’re in a hurry to rush you. I understand why), we had extra green onion and white with burnt garlic and zero spice. Chowmein with chicken and peanuts. Again, no flavor. The soy sauce packets weren’t able to salvage the noodles. I mean, seriously? The egg rolls are crunchy on the outside but mushy on the inside. It tastes like a combination of garlic and onion. One order of steamed rice. By far the BEST item. The place looks much better on the outside then the inside. That should have been my immediate warning. I look past it. Now, if the inside is run-down with poor tables, ripped couches, questionable seating, odd flyers and menu specials on the wall– browning. Imagine the bathroom, wait, imagine the kitchen. Yep. Never again. Never. Ever. Ever. Ever again. Definitely disappointed in my fellow Unilocaler’s.

When staying in Buena Park, it seemed like it was going to be a chore to find somewhere to eat at late and also to find satisfying takeout food. Luckily, this little spot gave us exactly what we were looking for: quality Chinese food at an affordable price. The standards of sesame chicken and brocolli beef were standouts and everything had very solid flavors that had us returning a few days later! Check it out!

The driver called me because the idea of stairs outside the hotel confused him. he wanted me to come to the lobby but I would have to use those same stairs. he then argued with me on the phone while I stood outside my hotel door in my pjs. then he told me to hold on hanging up on me. he showed up at my door extended his arm, I grabbed the food and he just walked off without a word. really odd behavior but mostly really rude. they shouldn’t deliver if they aren’t willing to take stairs or least of all be nice. I ordered from them just two days prior and happy young man delivered my food. I gladly tipped him because he was so nice but this older gentlemen was mean to me on the phone as if I caused him the most headache by ordering so late at night. After a long day of writing the last thing I wanted to do was argue in my pjs with a stranger. Maybe he shouldn’t deliver food if he hates it so much.

Time to update my early Unilocal review Choys is our go to place for late night Chinese cravings. We have been coming here for years. Located on Ball rd and Dale in the city of Anaheim in a older strip mall and open till 2:00am every night snd offering cheap and tastey Chinese treats. Service has always been fast and friendly. Now, by no means is this a fancy place to eat. Its old and and in need of a serious make over. And it may not be the best Ive ever had. But, try not to let these looks steer you away. Its never super busy but there are always a handful of peeps inside. Everything should be served family style here, meaning you share your dishes with everyone in your party. My go to dish is Orange peal chicken which is crispy breaded pieces of chicken deep fried and tossed in an Orange sauce with orange peels, green onions, chilli peppers and a few pieces of broccoli on the side. I love it snd its a dish thats on target everytime. The salt and pepper pork chop is another deep fried dish but without the sauce. Ask for a side of sweet snd sour to dip it in. The chow fun, a rice noodle dish with chicken and veggies is also a winner. Dinner for two who eat a lot is under $ 30 including tip. They do have dinner for 2 specials, 2 dishes with fried rice and egg roll for $ 20.00 Drink menu is water, canned soda, iced tea, iced coffee. For late night eats its A okay.
