This place is awesome! All the food selections are truly authentic Italian and delicious. I have been eating my way through the menu and everything has been amazing. In addition, it is reasonably priced and the restaurant is attractive and immaculately clean. Excellent, enthusiastic service is the norm. They have an adjacent deli to purchase meats, cheeses and ready made dinners.

Great pizza, mozzarella sticks, and complimentary bread. Service was quick for a sit down restaurant. Our server was attentive and did not hesitate to recommend items. The cheesecake was really good and completed our meal well.

Been looking foward to eating here for some time… lets just say probably never coming back. Workers weren’t at all friendly or helpful. Food was… meh! Don’t understand the 4 ½ star rating at all

I love the meatball sandwich here. It’s the best meatball sandwich I’ve ever had. Also, their Deli is my one stop place for my cold cuts and cheese and everything Italian. All their meats are«Boars Head». You can’t get better than that brand. Also, their freshly baked bread is out of this world. I recommend that you get there early in the morning for their bread before it’s all gone. They do sell out.

Good food, but I’ve never understood the appeal. Parking is typically tight. It seems to have a bit of local following, which is good for business. But there was nothing impressive about any of my three visits. The last time we were there service was slow, as they were dealing with large parties.

We come to Cortina’s for the pizza, subs and bakery. So far, this is the best pizza I have had in Anaheim. The pizza comes out piping hot and cheesy. You pull the slice and you can probably walk half way through the room with that cheese stretch. The sauce is very tasty and has just the right amount. The Suns are delicious too and pretty big. So far I have had the Cortina’s special, Fireball and the sausage and peppers. The d cot is very reminiscent of what you see in mobster movies and all of the art and posters reflect those popular movies. The downside to the restaurant is that the dining room is small so you will most likely be waiting for a table to clear out. If you come with more than 4 people… good luck! The parking is also bad and you might have to park across the street in the shopping center. But I’ve always said that if the line is out the door, the food must be good and it is. Don’t leave till you check out the bakery and take home some Italian cookies and of course the cannoli.

After my son’s volleyball tournament in Anaheim, CA on Saturday 6÷4÷16, I utilized my Unilocal app to locate a nearby Italian restaurant because on Sunday 6÷5÷16, I was scheduled to run the Rock and Roll San Diego Half Marathon, which required me to carbo load. Cortina’s was one of the highest rated Italian restaurants with a stellar 4.5 stars and it was within close proximity from where my son played his tournament. Not only did Cortina’s have a really high rating, the Unilocal app showed that Cortina’s was economical with the one $ accompanying its site, so off we went. Not only is Cortina’s an Italian restaurant, it also is an Italian market where you can shop for Italian groceries, canned goods, Italian meats/sausages, and drum roll please, Italian bakery items such as cannolis, cakes, and an assortment of sweet goodies. The only thing we bought at the market was an ice cream sandwich, which was devine. Next time, we’ll definitely try out some of their bakery items. For the restaurant, you order at the counter and the food is called out for you to pick up. When ordering, it can get cramped and there was a line because the front door to the restaurant is close to the registers. The seating area for the restaurant is really nice and clean. The seating is first come, first serve, so I suggest that you send one of your family members to save a table for your party. The ceiling of the restaurant is fancy, ornate, and made this restaurant look more refined than I thought it would look like. The walls are decorated nicely with framed pictures of Italian themed pieces and there are framed sports memorabilia of local professional sports teams. There’s a soda machine where you self serve your beverages and its next to where you pick up your food. Next time we visit Cortina’s, I have to try their pizza and sandwiches because when I saw a customer’s sandwich, I wished I wasn’t carbo loading. As I said in the beginning, my goal was to eat pasta to prepare me for the grueling 13.1 miles I was going to run. I ordered mostacioli pasta with meat sauce and I added sausage. Cortina’s is truly value for your money. When you see my pictures, you’ll see that they don’t scrimp on your food and the dish comes with two pieces of garlic bread. Mostacioli pasta is the tubular type pasta with this dish coming liberally doused with red meat sauce. I highly recommend this dish, but you MUST order it with sausage like I did. You get two thick sausages with this dish. The sausage really made this dish. The sausage was hearty, very tasty, and just was overall yummy. I didn’t really care for the garlic bread because it wasn’t crispy and I really couldn’t taste the garlic. That sausage in my pasta was truly the star of my meal. i definitely recommend Cortina’s if you’re looking for an Italian restaurant that serves a good amount of delicious food for a reasonable price. For any fellow runners looking to carbo load, Cortina’s will be just fine for that, but make sure to order the sausage on any of the pasta dishes. Since I successfully finished the Rock and Roll Half Marathon, I can credit Cortina’s carbs for helping me to do that. And since I won’t be running any half marathons anytime soon, the next time I visit Cortina’s, I will definitely try the pizza, a sandwich, and for dessert, a slice of cheesecake.

Last night was my first time here and I’am impressed. Not only do they have food for dinning in they have an Italian market next door with fresh meats and cheese. This place has self seating, it can be busy but it clears up pretty quick. I ordered the baked lasagna and it was delicious next time I will probably ask for less meat suave on top but I love how it didn’t taste like it was from a frozen dinner box. My sister ordered the spaghetti and meatballs and that was good as well. You can tell that they take time in making their food and it’s not something they just microwave up and serve. I would definitely recommend this place for anyone who is craving Italian/pasta or pizza and I will be back again to try other things on the menu.

Been going here for years, can’t believe I never reviewed it. The left side is a good little Italian marketplace. Really great pizza dough and fresh mozzarella. Good cannoli too. The right side is where the action is. Excellent sandwiches and pretty tasty pizza. My go to sandwiches are eggplant parmigiana or sausage & peppers. Parking can be an issue as the parking lot is pretty small. If it’s full, and it usually is, park across the street at Stater Bros.

Kids: loved the meatballs. Order extras. Sandwiches are big. You can share and then get another item off the menu. Place is casual. Typically both times I’ve gone they’ve been busy however tables always clear up. I’d visit a third time.

I have been looking for a good Italian restaurant in the Anaheim area for quite some time and I happened to come across this place. The fact that they have almost a perfect 5 star rating and many of my Unilocal friends gave them such praise and recommended it I decided to give them a try. This is an authentic Italian restaurant that’s making such wonderful dishes from scratch and they are only serving top quality food. Cortina’s has the restaurant in one building and the building next door is the market, I love the fact that you can visit both or either one and that they are separate because the restaurant was extremely crowded and hectic while the market was very quiet. Before going to the restaurant and having looked at all the pictures and the menu I had a few things in mind that I wanted to try but as soon as I walked through the door I had to narrow it down. They have a fairly large menu with a nice selection of items such as various pasta dishes in which they only use imported pasta from Italy, pizza, salads and a plethora of sandwiches that are made on homemade Italian bread. Now the market is quite the place, they have so many different pastas, sauces, cookies, delicacies, desserts and things that you may not find anywhere else. If I stayed in there longer than 10 minutes I probably would’ve spent all my money in there. Although I wanted to try one of their most popular sandwiches the Rocky Balboa I instead opted for the Penne Di Pesto w/Chicken and Foccacia. I love a good pasta dish and since I rarely eat pasta with pesto I chose this since it was different for me and it seemed to be one of the more popular dishes as well. The penne was cooked to perfection, al dente like pasta should be and the pesto was amazing. It wasn’t too heavy and it had a nice balance of basil, olive oil and pine nuts. There were nice big chunks of tender and well seasoned chicken that really added to the dish. Oh and that homemade foccacia bread was the softest and tastiest I’ve probably ever had. My entire meal just blew me away and the fact that the portion size was really hefty along with being so yummy really just made it worth it. One of the best pasta dishes I have had in a very long time. I also tried a couple desserts from the market next door, they had about 2 cases full of Italian desserts, different varieties of cannolis and it was way more than my sweet tooth and stomach could take lol. I got their traditional cannoli and Sfogliatella(Lobster Tail Pastry). Never had the Sfogliatella before but I have seen them and always was curious how they tasted, they are filled with sweet ricotta and the outer layer is so crispy and flaky it was just yummy. The cannolis were good as well I just wish the filling had chocolate chips inside. I will definitely be back for that Rocky Balboa and many of the other items I want to try and when I’m in Anaheim and need to get my pasta, Italian food or cannoli fix this will absolutely be my go to place.

Looking for Orange County’s best delicatessen? Your search is over. Only the Italians remain from Anaheim’s Old Europe guard, and they’re the ones who keep the business bustling at Cortina’s Italian Market, a landmark that’s been baking and slicing since 1963. The emporium consists of three rooms: a large market area stocked with Italian produce, a large deli counter slapping together some of the heftiest sandwiches outside Little Italy, and a dining room to enjoy all of their sublime offerings in. The menu is monolithic and offers everything from notable Pizza creations to entrée size Salads but once I spied the Pastrami on the menu, it was all over for me. Cortina’s Pastrami boasts a fistful of Boar’s Head Pastrami piled to the sky on top of a feshly baked — and superbly chewy — white roll. The sole condiment is of course mustard and Cortina’s goes with French’s yellow variety which works very, very well. Oh and they top the Pastrami with tangy Pickle spears reminiscent of the world famous Chicago Hot Dog. The large weighs in at a considerable $ 11.10 and the portions are absolutely monstrous. Obviously the roll and omission of Gulden’s mustard strays far from the traditional but I would argue that was the point from the jump — Cortina’s wants to create it’s own style of Pastrami — not New York City’s. Furthermore, the attention to detail in the Bread itself shows that this was a hybrid artisan flagship conception and not just another sandwich to round out the menu for the local lunch crowd. There is absolutely no reason you shouldn’t have lunch at Cortina’s today.

I just made it back to Cortina’s for the first time in waaayy too long! We don’t live nearby anymore and were in town so to Corina’s we must go! Got some strawberry jam, diced canned tomatoes from Italy, cookies, sardines(2 types), pasta, Lavazza coffee, candy, etc. Love how busy the deli counter was, business is good. We only bought stuff that didn’t need to be kept cold since we had a long, hot drive back. Next time I’m bringing a cooler. Still love this place.

Old school Italian appeal to you? Want a casual place where«made men» would go if dere was a bunch a paisan’s from North Caldwell, New Jersey in da neighborhood? Sure youse would. This is a real deal, simple, straight ahead, pizzeria and sandwich spot plunked down in the middle of Little Arabia, go figure. Pass all the hookah bars(not a typo) and try to be civil in the jammed parking lot, then go to the right, into the Pizzeria. You can always go to their market next door after you gorged on your Death Row meal.(Besides, you’ll buy less and will probably want to speed home and undo the gripper snaps on your overalls anyway, if you haven’t already done so). Nothing fancy here. Wood tables overflowing with Gladiator sized portions and eager patrons wishing they wore their togas. Thankfully no bowling leagues, or Pop Warner teams. Just Families and friends enjoying classic old time favorites(I-talian as the sainted Mum would say) prepared as good as you remember. Laminated panels dotted with a few signed sports jerseys and photos. Who cares, you’ll be staring only at that pizza the size of a Monopoly Board on it’s stand, winking and whispering, «Go ahead, punk, eat me.» Queue up and shuffle in line to the counter in the entrance where some nice cheerful enthusiastic youngin’ will take your order and there is every likelihood they will get it right. Find a table in the dining crush of two fisted eaters and wait patiently until some other nice pleasant youngin’ mumbles your name in the cheesy crackly mike. Make a false trip because you heard Bill instead of Phil and you are hungry and eager. Sip your icy cold draft beer(there half a dozen on tap) or Red, White on in between to slurp with pinkie extended if you prefer. Finally, there it is before you. A bumper crop bounty of beautiful perfect Italian comfort food. Okay, intrepid Unilocalettes, let’s talk pizza. No sense comparing to other places because this here is the best. Are we clear? No foo foo Neopolitan soggy mess with an DOC Award from some low level Civil Servant in Napoli. This non-greasy bambina has crisp edges latticed with a little cheese, and olive oil. It keeps it’s crispiosity underneath the generous toppings too. Hold a slice out at arm’s length and you’ll see, the tip don’t dip. Baked just right with some corn meal on the bottom to provide crunch throughout the whole meal and… wow, big surprise, it’s still there the next morning like a great date that totally out worked. House made Sunday Gravy sauce, thick, tart, tangy, tomatoey. Excellent quality Mozzarell. Chewy, stretchy and gooey like cheesy salt water taffy. Double yum. All the toppings were piled on. No trace elements as dictated by corporate. Chunks of grand sausage, half meatballs, CD disc sized slices of pepperoni, fresh mushrooms, onions and yes… anchovies.(My dirty little secret). That was my custom pie which I recommend. Have it your way instead of one of the 4 off the rack combos. The menu has a couple of pastas which looked good for a rainy day. There are also 25 different sandwich combos. Its like trying to pick a masseuse at Darlings in Bangkok… they all look so good. I had the Rocky Balboa. A Mille Foglie(thousand leaves) of house made Porchetta layered as thick as Shaq’s fist, melted Provolone, Broccoliini, Garlic Chili Oil, Au Jus, and Pecorino. You will have the breath of a goat afterwards but that’s her problem. The sandwiches come in 6″ or 10″ sizes.(Who can eat a 10″ anything? Raise your hand, we want to meet you). My only minor knocks are the salad/pizza olives are Lindsays. The grated parmesan cheese comes from the Green Can, and forgive me, I like to eat my pizza with a real fork and knife. The plastic utensils and plates are almost worthless. Eating a pizza by hand is just so Simian, so Stanley Kowalski, so uncivilized. Call me a Pizza Patrician. If you can still walk go next door to their Italian Market and have a cookie which are still fresh at closing time. Now go home, liberate your tummy and enjoy an REM drooler. Buona notte, Dormi bene, Sogni belli.

About to move into this neighborhood and my aunts husband told me about this place. Decided to drop in to see what all the hoopla was about. The restaurant is on the right and market on your left. I ordered the penne pesto chix pasta and decided to go see what kinda goodies they had next door. Dessert display looked sooo good. I can’t wait to go back and try everything else but on this trip I got the chocolate cannoli and peanut butter truffle balls. MYGAWD! My mouth is watering just typing this out! I couldn’t care for the cannoli BUTIFYOULIKEPEANUTBUTTER… You have to get the balls! By the time I picked out my dessert, my food was ready next door. He handed me a garlic fuming bag which I was happy about but my car stank for a day! Lol All in all, I’m happy with the results, wish there was more chicken in my pasta but it was delicious. I wanna try the famous meatball sandwich next time and grab some different desserts! So excited!

I’m not sure if it’s just my parents, but as a child to Chinese immigrants, it really surprises me how much my parents love Italian food. Not a connoisseur, but I have to admit the authenticity of the food here. The pizza here is always on point, being a great balance of cheese and marinara and their sandwiches never disappoint. I have tried various ones, their Cortina Special is a great start for those unsure of what to try with the choices they have available. It’s a cold sandwich, but has the flavor combination of what you’d expect with a hot one.

The BF and I decided to try this place after he’s heard about it from a coworker awhile back. I love me some good sandwiches so I was all for it! The meatball sub was omgah too good! The meatball was just perfect and not dry or too moist! The melted cheese in the sub when you bite it just pulls out into a string just like the movies! We also go the penne pasta, and another sub, I forgot the name but its the last one on their cold subs list! We definitely ordered with our eyes. But so glad that we did! I will definitely be back to try other sandwiches!!!

Had the pizza for the first time. I ordered the special, came with pepperoni, sausage, onion, olives, peppers. The medium size, ordered it at about 7:30, took 20 minutes to be done. Picked it up, the place looked pretty full like always. It was 17.00 for the pizza. Took it home and opened it up. It looked good and everything looked and tasted fresh. Once I took a slice a never ending string of cheese clung to it. That’s how you know it’s good cheese. Ate it, it was honestly and average tasting pizza, in my mind not really worth 17.00 but I have to give it to them, everything was fresh! The bottom of the pizza was thin and a bit crispy, that’s not how I like it but that’s a personal preference, my wife loved the pizza. I love knowing that my ingredients are fresh and not just something old. I don’t mind paying the extra money for quality items. We had been dying to try the pizza so we will be back to order other items and even another pizza.
