Don’s Drapery Service

Terrific service. All the way from initial consultation, installation and follow-​up. Especially the follow-​up: they made sure that I’m 100% satisfied. I couldn’t be happier and I wish all businesses are like this. Highly recommended!!!

I have used Don’s Drapery for all of my blinds and window coverings in my home. They are by far the most knowledgable and experienced in their industry. Their showroom is right down the street from me and when I went in, Mike helped me chose exactly what I was looking for. They are a family run business, all very friendly and eager to help in any way. The installation came out perfect! Definitely would recommend them to anyone looking for quality product and customer service.

Worked with Mike, Dante, John, and Cheryl. The guys were professional, thorough, clean and considerate. Cheryl knew her products well. Customer service was excellent. They were relentless in their pursuit of making the customer happy. I had 33 windows to cover and I had Don’s do them all and I could not be happier. Fyi, if you have any doubt, go with the powered shades! Mike is an expert on home automation and you can hit him up for other products to modernize your home.

The shutters were cheap but the install was so terrible! It took Don’s Drapery four trips to install our shutters, the installers often forgot about parts and did not bring the necessary tools to install our shutters. They would also put shutters on our bed before putting them on the wall, which we think it’s gross!
A couple months after our shutters were installed, one of them came loose on THREE sides and looked like it was about to fall off. We called Don’s and it took more than a week and several follow up phone calls to get the installer (John) to come out to fix it. John came out to «fix» the shutter. We asked him what was wrong with it. He said «Oh, someone forgot a screw in there». A couple months later, the SAME shutter came loose on THREE sides again. This time, another shutter was loose on three sides too. We had to call and make follow up phone calls to get an appointment scheduled.
They were supposed to come out this morning to fix them, and after I called to follow up, they said they can’t come out this morning but will stop by in the afternoon. One guy stopped by in the afternoon, checked out the shutters, and said he’s sorry but someone will contact me.
I have a shutter installer from another company working at my house today and I got his professional opinion on the two shutters that were falling off. He said the installation was horrible, the screws they put in were less than 2 inches and didn’t even go into the dry wall — that’s why the shutters were loose. He also asked me to check the other shutters in the house, because they’re most likely installed the same way with short screws.
Also, the shutters Don’s Drapery installed are a lot harder to open and close than the new ones our new installers (Custom Shutters & Blinds, review to come soon!) put in.
Update — the owners of Don’s Drapery and Custom Shutters & Blinds are actually friends and Don’s asked Custom Shutters for a favor to fix all the shutters. So the shutters are now fixed.

I have used Don’s on two different occasions and both times they have come in under everyone else’s quotes and the quality of their work is top notch. They installed both projects on time as promised and you will not find a company with better customer service or pricing.

We worked with Mike yesterday and we couldn’t be any happier with his knowledge of the different products. Hunter Douglas’ website has so many options and just 30 minutes in their showroom straightened everything out for us. He was able to come to our place the same day to measure, help us finalize our choices, and write up quote on an iPad.
Needless to say we put our deposit down and can’t wait for the shades to be built. Definitely give them a chance if you’re looking for window treatments.
