El Calor Mexican Restaurant & Nightclub

Went on a Wednesday. The gogo boys were hot, the drag queens were working hard. But they did last call before 1:30 and refused to sell me any more drinks. I was going up yo buy a round and I found that more than a little annoying.

As a former employee (bartender) I have nothing good to say about El Calor (Silvia) since I got laid off for giving a free bottle water to a regular customer. I couldn’t believe my eyes did this really just happened for less than 25c I lost my job wow. «Cheap ass» (Silvia) no wonder your club is not doing so good and for reals is going to hell (El Calor) get it? Lol!!! The way I see it is a cheap investment; it’s basic customer service if your customers are happy they will bring you 10 more customers plain and simple. It’s called common sense but unfortunately some people don’t have it and can’t see outside the box. Customer service is so bad, bartenders are so mean, it takes forever to get waited, security think their shit don’t stink and treat you like shit kick you out at the end of the night like if you were just trash, free cover my ass it’s all false advertisement, she doesn’t turn on the AC or the fans so it gets super hot and customer buy more drinks, the bar is never fully stocked always running out of shit what Latino bar runs out of tequila, modelos and coronas? OMG I could go on forever with shit that’s wrong with this place. If there was a way I will not even give you a single star, take my advise people not just as a former employee but as a regular customer don’t go it’s not worth it someday they will fuck you over sad but true.

Sorry I’m giving just one star because is necessary in order to post this. Anyways the club needs a full clean up, the cover is unfair for what they provided and trannies’ show are the only interesting part even though I’m not really into that. If you go be aware of some rudeness from the crowd and drinks are not so great.

Woaw where do I start first off we went all females on a thursday night. Cover charge was $ 15 dollars even though we got there before ten which was supposed to be free before ten pm. Ps they don’t take any type of card or debit only cash. I was the only one that got my I’d checked and my youngest cousing wich is bearly 18 years old did not get carded. We went in and I’m sorry if I offend any one but there is a bunch of old fat desperate thirsty ass females in there. I figured might as well stay and enjoy my 15.00 dollars. The music was old it was Don Omar and Daddy Yankee Gasolina. The strippers were shorter than most average females there. Puro TACHUELITA… The place is so hot !!! That all the females makeup was falling off so its really el calor. My conclusion dont waste your time and mony there …

I attended the place 2 years ago and it was not what I expected. They had a male show that took 1 hour. Funny how they looked older than me and I am 33.
The club is small, drinks are tasteless, n the vibe was not that great. I do hope management can improve their service, club, n music.

I went there for the first time and service was awful they do false advertisement showing flyers that it is free before 10pm and when you show up they say it’s not a valid flyer even though it’s their website. The manager Silvia made us wait 20 minutes only to say their website was not updated and that the flyers were not valid it was a big disappointment would never go there again wasted my time, gas and got dressed for nothing. I was not about to pay to go in with the service I got from them at the entrance. They lost three customer that night. They should get their website updated and not lure customers just to force them to feel compelled to pay since they are already there and dressed I chose to leave as a principle because that is not how you earn business!

This place gets HOT, i mean it. no wonder they call it «el calor», music and live band will make you dance, alot of fun.

This place gets down, I’m going back for sure, with more friends, the music is great, and the people get into the vibe of the music

Noche Alternativa is definitely a fun night! After going there for the first time with my best friend, I can say that I will be going back and bring more friends with me in the future! Drinks are pretty reasonable and parking is free!!! You can go in and out as much as you’d like and service is just extraordinary! If you wanna have a good night with great music and fabulous people, this is the place to go!

Uh yeah, so I’m the 2^nd person to review this place:
It was rather a mission for new cultural experience that I stepped food in there with 2 other asian friends. It was unique, interesting, and a lot of fun to sorta let the 100% latino crowd know that we’re open to their culture and race. There was a live band, lots of salsa music, bachata, merenge, and at the end, latin techno or something really bizarre that put me in shock. We had no idea WHAT we were doing, really. I think it’s worth checking out, only if you got some balls. I’d definitely go back and advertise the Asian race more.

Why am I the first person to write a review of this place? Well, maybe it’s listed under a different name…
Anyway, I’ve only been once, and it was pretty fun. Authentic. Good live band. Friendly and lots and lots of dancing. You won’t sit still unless you absolutely want to.
Each night is a different theme. I went on cumbia night and there was a California Show, which was like a dance-​off.
I also checked out El Conejo Feliz on the same night, which is within easy driving distance. Makes for a fun night of dancing.
