You know what’s worst than waiting in line for the ladies restroom at the club or waiting in line for dole whip at Disneyland? Waiting for your food and your check at this El Torito. They should rename themselves El Lento(Slow). And what’s even worse is that I have to give them 1 star. They deserve no stars. I tried to be patient and understanding when it comes to eating out on the holidays. Restaurants are packed and servers are busting their a**. I didn’t even know who my server was anymore because I had up to 8 different servers. Including the manager… Literally anyone I was able to flag down or tap them on the shoulder became my server for 10 seconds and dipped. Is it so hard to bring chips and salsa when I placed my order long ago? Is it so hard to print out a receipt/ticket so I can get my tacos? Are you guys eating my tacos in the back? Is that why I can’t flag a single person? Oh the endless questions. What really pissed me off the most was management. He’s just talking it up with a table that the servers also f****ed up on unbeknownst to him the entire section has been f****ed up by every server possible. He just comes over to my table after I flagged him down asking where the hell is my taco ticket so I can finally eat and he doesn’t even come back with my ticket… He walks the register, passes our table again and walks back to that same table and talk. Do you have short term memory loss? Don’t get me wrong though. The food was A-OK… But I think the esthetics and taste of the food went sour just like their service so I didn’t enjoy it as much. I feel for the others in my section. Some came earlier than me and still haven’t gotten food. Seriously the worst El Torito I’ve ever been to. Never coming back here again. They didn’t deserve my money in the first place(made me wait close to 2 hours for my credit card to get swiped) and they definitely don’t deserve any future visits from me. I seriously should have dine and dashed and no one would have noticed. ADIOSELRISTORANTEHORIBLE!

I’m usually not one for corporate Mexican food(I’m looking at you Chili’s…) but i was throughly impressed after leaving this El Torito. When I arrived it looked like a long wait because the parking lot was full but we were actually seated immediately. Awesome. Service was super quick and attentive, I always appreciate that. I ordered the Pollo Fresco en Adobo. Now I won’t order anything else. Comes with 2 marinated chicken breasts, a cheese stuffed poblano pepper, Spanish rice, cooked spinach, surrounded by 2 different salsas, and all topped with pico de gallo. No wonder our server said it was his favorite! Great experience. No if only the other chains of Mexican food was as good

As a kid, this was where my mom would take us to eat when we arrived in Anaheim for our Disneyland weekends. It holds a lot of fond memories, and will always be my favorite. Have I ever mentioned that I LOVECHIPSANDSALSA? Well, I do… and El Torito’s chips are THE best. Just enough cilantro in the salsa and the perfect crunch in the chips. Nearly every visit, we get a hot fresh basket of them… sometimes two baskets even. The food is all amazing. There’s not been one thing I didn’t like. This past Mother’s Day I experienced my first El Torito Brunch too. WOWZA! What a treat to have a buffet of the best Mexican foods at my beck and call, as much as I cared to eat! My most favorite thing to eat at El Torito: Corn Cake. Yup… every time, I ask for extra. It’s amazing. Ah. Maze. ZING. Try it… it’s the little scoop of yellow magic on the plate. If you like cornbread, you will flip for the corn cake. I’ll be back soon El Torito… get the chips, salsa and corn cake ready!

I ordered two flats of enchiladas catering style with only a couple hours of notice. They ran a little bit late having them ready for me however everything else about my experience was exemplary. The manager handled everything for me, I told him I had my dog in the car and needed to keep the AC on. I handed him my credit card and went back to my car. He processed payment for me and then brought everything out and put all inside the car. I asked about eating utensils plates napkins etc. which he gathered for me and brought back out to the car. I was really quite impressed. The box they put the two flats of enchiladas in was an awesome carry a box, very very impressed.

Unilocal Challenge 201697⁄116 **This is not for the restaurant itself but for their booth at The taste of Anaheim. ** I sware these were some of the most friendly people at the event Did I miss something? Maybe they were downing shots of sunshine because their pockets were full of it. Sprinkle a little bit on my plate please, because I want what she had. All of them were super friendly, especially the young blonde girl. They were dressed in their traditional costumes, serving up tastey treats with sides of sunshine. One of the friendliest booths I went to. El Torito has always been a favorite for me since I was a kid… so of course I would stop by this booth. They served up some carnita and pollo street tacos, chips and salsa, sweet corn cake and tiny bowls of Cesar salad. Sample overload. Food was tasty, but then again I’ve always been a fan. Thank you to those at the booth!!! You guys filled my soul with enough smiles to get through the next year! #895

Customer service is bad. Everytime i come here we seat ourselves otherwise they just have us standing there when it is not even busy. Our bill came up to be too much for just 2 plates so we double checked and found we were being charge an extra $ 17 for a plate that we never ordered. The weird part was when the waiter came he was already taking our payment and walking away and then my husband told him to wait cuz there was a mistake on the check and that is when the waiter tells him«oh yea my boss is going to take that off». The part I find strange is that he was just going to charge us, I don’t think he was going to take that off the tab unless we pointed it out and he knew.

This place was really cool. It was right next to the hotel I had to stay at when I went out to my corporate office again for training. The bartender Santos was really friendly. Funny guy. I went there mon-fri that week. Good Booze! Great tequilla selection! For real though taco tuesday was awesome! Taco buffet1? Who the hell says no to that?! They also had some really good avacado egg rolls. The prices are very fair. The staff in general was real friendly. They have plenty of tv’s. It is a really nice place to got and kind of decompress after a long day of traiing/work. I would definitley stop by if you are in the area.

So I went back to El Torito on pure convenience. My GF& I along with another couple stopped by after the Ducks game and I had a much better experience. The waitress was attentive and got our order correct. I found out the way to go at El Torito is to go big. Don’t try and skimp out or you’ll pay for it with your food/quality. This time, I went with Cadillac Margaritas and Steak fajitas. Pure deliciousness. I still think this place is quite outdated and really clustered inside and could use improvements, but I will be coming back.

Should I even have given them a star? They are absolutely horrible servers here! First off waiting 20 mins with no drinks!!! Yea thanks for the chips and salsa but we need liquids to down it !!! Had to wave a waiter down! #imjustsayin I don’t think I’ll even enjoy my meal. Good service starts from when you walk in, from when your order is taken, during your meal and after your meal…

We had a party of 24 that we booked ahead of Time in this beautiful separate room with a water fall and star chandeliers. The staff was super accommodating, friendly and helpful. The event coordinator set Us up with a great set of menu selections that pleased all in the group. Gerry was our waiter and he did a fabulous job coordinating food to come out as close as possible for all 24. Then there was the food. Such beautiful presentations and so delicious. I highly recommend the shrimp matzalan enchiladas. The Mexican Caesar salad had a fabulous house made cilantro lime dressing. I can’t add enough about how capable and helpful the staff were and how delicious the food was.

Had dinner Sat, Feb 6. This restaurant has very poor front of house management. Our server was quite obviously new and not well trained and lacked confidence. She had to be asked twice for water, then only brought 4. Had to ask again for the fifth person in our group to get water. We all ordered drinks but one person got a virgin margarita instead of frozen. This is probably because there was music on a house system competing with mariachis from a party in their banquet room. The worst however, again the server lost count and a different person in our party did not get food. It arrived as all others in the party were nearly finished eating! The food was delicious but overshadowed by the awful dining experience overall.

This is a place where people go to eat AMERICAN food. That’s right. Setting is nice, servers super nice(in my case), speed of service is 8 out of 10, food tastes fresh 8 out of 10. Want to try amazing Mexican food ? Sabroso — a small joint in Garden Groove Or… The king of cool Mexican food in my book: Los Molcajetes in Las Vegas.

Worst El Torito EVER! Dirty and loud. Down loaded a decibel meter while we were here average number was 90. Corporate might want to check in on this location. Once the food got there it was even worse. Horrible horrible!

Ending up here 3 wks in a row last month, was due in part to us trying their different daily deals. And that the Fullerton location closed :’(However, this location is actually closer to my residence. Too many times, we have indulged here for the AYCE Sunday brunches. It has always been awesome! Never really came here during the week. Recent visits — 2 out of 3 times, they excelled in service. The first time we came in July on a Friday night, the hubby had the AYCE mahi mahi tacos and I ordered a combination plate. We were seated in a booth in the bar area. Our waiter was superb! 2nd time we came back after work for the AYCE Taco Tuesday. Our waiter lagged and food came out pretty slow. He looked like he was tending to too many tables on his own. He got our first taco order mixed up. The 3rd time we came through, we had the AYCE enchiladas. This waiter was amazing. He had a perfect memory and beat us to the punch on chips and water. Food was pretty good each time. Though my husband mentioned something was missing from their tacos on that Tuesday. When you opt for AYCE anything during the week, it comes with a side of rice, beans and corn cake. The comp tortilla chips are still amazing to me, along with the salsa and love splurging for the table side guac. We’ll be back. It’s our local ET.

Location: I’ve been to about 4 different El Torito locations and this is definitely one of the better ones. It is a fairly small restaurant compared to others, but it will sit atleast one large party. It’s never too busy, even during happy hour. There is limited parking since it’s within a small plaza and in front of Benihanna. Service: Good service. I love coming here during Sunday brunch and the waiters are always on top of everything. They refill our drinks on time, ask if we’re done with our plates, check up on us, and so on. They’re very friendly and always start small talk. They’ll sing happy birthday in Spanish upon request! Food: If you’re looking for an awesome Sunday brunch at a good price, El Torito is the way to go. TONS of options! Tacos, omelet station, pozole, menudo, sweet Mexican bread, salads, fruit, ceviche, etc. $ 17.99 and you get all of this, plus more?! Yes please! Don’t forget to ask for your mimosa as well. Of course they don’t serve authentic Mexican tacos, but their tacos are good. I’ve had some of their entrees before and if I’m in the mood for Mexican food, I’ll just go somewhere else.(Stay away from their tamales, not good.) But if I’m in the mood for some brunch or a place to sit down and have some tacos on a Tuesday, I will definitely be here. $ 5 margaritas on Taco Tuesday are always a plus! Be on the lookout on Facebook. Sometimes they will post offers or some cool deals going on. Just yesterday I grabbed a $ 3 off Sunday Brunch offer! Fun Fact: El Torito is rated #1 Best Sunday Brunch according to the Orange County register!
