I think everyone that went to Esperanza or lives around it has tried Esperanza Burger at least once. It’s such a nostalgic place for people in the area. I used to walk here with friends in middle school and high school. I just came here last week for the first time in three or four years. The service and food was great, exactly how I remembered it. I called my order in to be picked up, they told me 20 minutes and it would be ready. I arrived a little early so it wasn’t ready yet, but I didn’t mind waiting. My boyfriend and I loved our burgers; filling and tasted amazing. Fries were still piping hot even after being in an air conditioned car for ten minutes. Also, it’s the little things count– the owner thought the first to-go box my order was in was flimsy, so he got a sturdier one to put the food and drinks in. The girl behind the counter was friendly, and the owner had a big smile on his face. He treats his kids well when they’re kids and just the same when they come back as adults!

Been here twice with different people. Both times got the Bacon cheese burger. Food is good, but just the run of the mill frozen meat slapped on a cooktop. One in our party asked for ranch dressing for dipping, and the waitress gladly brought it over — but during the delivery she said this is $ 0.50 extra then walked away. Seems she wasn’t joking, but that was a poor delivery. You don’t bring the item drop it off and then say. oh by the way that will cost you. Almost surprised they didn’t charge for the catchup as well. Just be cautious. as they say on the wall plaque, they seem to not care what people think about their service or food, and they write it all off. May come back, just due to the fact it’s always empty. but that also is probably a bad sign of something?

I LOVE this place. I work right around the corner and go to this gem as often as I can. Their fries are always perfection and their bacon avocado burger has never disappointed. With such a large menu you would think I would have tried more things by now BUT the burger and fries are just too dang good to give up. I would suggest this to anyone. If you are in a rush, I would call ahead. They make things to order so it does take a little time to get your food.

Not to exaggerate my words, but, wow. This is the best chorizo breakfast burrito I’ve had in the OC. Tortilla is warm and fluffy. Chorizo is aromatic and flavorful. Eggs-potato-meat ratio is on point. The most compelling part of this burrito was the minimal oil/juice that I usually associate with chorizo breakfast burrito. The meat wasn’t wet or runny. I got to the last bite without spilling a single drop or creating a mess. Add bacon to it– adds a bit of texture. Sausage-ham breakfast burrito was decent, flavor is definitely there. Salsa is good, not amazing. Has smell and taste of Cholula/tapatio. Still think the green salsa from Athenian burgers is better. Perhaps something for the owners to improve upon. Regardless, burritos are good without the salsa. Will be coming back here more often for my fix. EDIT: Day two of coming here. Chorizo bacon breakfast burrito is still consistently excellent. Salsa is growing on me.

Out of all the times I came here, I’ve always gotten sick. 3 years ago, I had an avocado virger and got sick. I was really hungry and was craving a burger, so I decided to stop by Esperanza burger. I got a ¼ cheesburger and it tastes extremely bland. And what do you know, I got sick again.

I was coaching a game over at Esperanza high school and this place was right down the street. Service was friendly, and helpful. They did a good job of helping my find a good item on a large menu. Ok so the food… I got the pastrami burger and onion rings. The burger was very good, juicy and the pastrami is pretty solid. The onion rings are ok, nothing really fancy, not to much flavor. Here is why they won’t get more then three stars, no free refills, really… Total let down, I hate having to spare my drink carefully while I eat so I can be sure to have some throughout. I just spent 10 plus dollars on food and I still have to pay for refills. This is always a huge problem for me and I will not return simply because I’m protesting any business that charges for refills. Ok that’s my rant. But if refills don’t bother you the go here they have some pretty good food.

I really like their lunch menu here and all the options so I was looking forward to trying their breakfast options. I ordered the pancakes with eggs and hashbrowns; wish they had turkey bacon or sausage for meat. I waited about 20 minutes for my order which isn’t bad, I guess since it is a diner, but there were only like two families in there so it felt awhile. I loved the pancakes and their size; it was very tasty big and fluffy but I was disappointed to see my scrambled eggs to be such a small serving you can seriously eat it in two bites. The hashbrowns was a small portion as well. Although the breakfast was good I’d say I wasn’t too satisfied about the portions. I’d only come for their lunches and dinner.

After many years, Esperanza Burger still hits the spot for me. The GF and I had a crazy craving for a cheeseburger one afternoon and I knew the only place that would do it right would be the ol’ Esperanza Burger. Ordered the Bacon Cheese Burger with Avocado and decided to skip on the Chili Cheese Fries. I didn’t think my heart can take anymore after our heavy lunch. I’m still kicking myself every time I think about that decision. Juicy and loaded with avocado, we both sat in silence as we enjoyed the unmentionable things the Bacon Cheeseburger was doing to our mouths. Our tastebuds were in a state of ecstasy and the look on our face said it all. Every now and then we would look at each other and give the best smirk we can muster with our stuffed face. About halfway through, I realized something was missing… them damn chili cheeeese fries! A sense of longing was felt deep inside as I knew I’ve made a mistake for not getting a small side of the best chili cheese fries I’ve ever had. What made it better? The cooks gave a surprise little bag of fries with our order. In our mental state, I think I was about to cry. You Keep doing you Esperanza Burger, I’ll be back soon for those chili cheese fries.

I was amazed by the size of the menu, almost too big. After a few minutes I ordered taquitos for the wife, avacado bacon burger for myself and my boy ordered a chesseburger. I also ordered the max fries which were like animal style fries from in&out but 10x better. The food took about 10 minutes but was well worth the wait. It’s a great sign, that means they make it to order!!! Rice and beans were so-so. Very Greek style, but the burgers were great. Taquitos were Bomb! The max fries were amazeballs

This place is one of my favorites when it comes to quality, quantity of food! I always pick it up and bring it home for my family. Everyone is always very nice when I go in and they usually get everything ready in under 15 mins. I haven’t sat down to eat there in a long time but I think it would be nice to because the decore reminds me of my younger years ! Thanks Esperanza burgers!

The breakfast foods are pretty good, I live close by so I have been here a few times. I find their lunch & dinner menu to be mediocre. Service is just okay. I had the Carnitas last Sunday and it was awful. The owner is a real nice guy. Again, breakfast there is very good but overall for lunch and dinner you can find better spots.

Like most people who Unilocal they go by what has the most stars by the area they are in. Unfortunately for 3 years I been going to other breakfast places because of this. Today I decided to try this place and I was blown away! The breakfast sandwich was the best I ever had. The bread is grilled not toasted so you have that buttery taste, the bacon was wrapped with the egg so each bite had bacon in it, fresh tomatoes, and mayo.

I was waiting to the recycled center to open and decided to kill time and have lunch next door. I wasn’t quite on the level as Farm Boys but ok. I had a pastrami and fries for $ 11.30…a bit on the high side and a lot smaller than The Hat. The meat was salty and hard. The fries were soft for my taste. I wish the bun was crusty and soft. The restroom was clean and the décor was a bit dated. I ordered to go but it was 20 – 25 minute wait which I thought was a bit long to pistrami sandwich.

This review is for TOGO only. I’ve been here twice in the past two months because of my addiction to delicious gyros. The gyro is generously stuffed with meat, fresh vegetables inside a pita bread. With a combo, you get a delicious Greek salad and they pile it with olives and hunks of feta cheese. The salad is fresh and I always order the dressing on the side. I love ordering to go because they have it ready within fifteen minutes and it’s perfect timing on my way home from work. Just a warning, this place is CASHONLY but they do have an ATM inside.

This place is great for BREAKFAST. They serve lunch and dinner items but I like coming here to pick up breakfast. They serve breakfast items, some Mexican and Greek food, sandwiches, salads, cheeseburgers, fries and etc. The service is great and the wait isn’t too bad. I noticed a lot of locals dine here because the staff knew some people by their first names, which was cool. I highly recommend their super bomb PANCAKES and BREAKFASTBURRITOS. They are thick and fluffy and so good slathered in lots of butter. The burritos are pretty big and fat and really fills you up for the whole day. FRIEDMUSHROOMS are a must too. Big portion or large and breaded fried mushroom with a side of ranch dressing. But I didn’t really like the Pastrami sandwich. The bread was kind’a tough. It was old bread O_o. TIP: Make sure you bring cash. It’s easier to pay than using your credit card with their atm/money dispenser thing.

I wanted a breakfast burrito, so I drove done the hill and stopped at the first place I saw. The banner in the window said $ 5.99 for a breakfast burrito, rather pricey but I ventured in. I ordered a coffee and burrito for $ 7.97! The photo showed a choice of bacon or sausage, I wasn’t asked for my choice. The burrito arrived and it was very large. It didn’t have sausage or bacon, but ham, eggs, hash browns. It was OK, filling, and the coffee was good. The burrito wasn’t spectacular. The place at 8:00 a.m. was empty except for one other diner. The walls were covered with high school team photos, so this is a community supporter. The was a place across the lot that has breakfast burritos for $ 3.99. That’s my next spot to try.

Initial Review is going to be for the Breakfast Burrito… this thing is definitely on point. Size if the burrito is good size and will fill even the heartiest of appetites. Standard comes chock full of ham/sausage with your normal potatoes, egg and cheese. Definitely a quality Breakfast offering. Service is extremely friendly and they turn around that warm comforting burrito very quickly. Definitely worth a stop if you are in the neighborhood.
