Awesome service man productive and positive giving me advice and towing my car they do it all great company! They really go over the top man!

Needed to move a project car from Anaheim to Costa Mesa. I called Gold Star the afternoon before and asked if I could setup a flatbed tow for 10am the next morning. The guy said sure, and asked me to text the details to his cell phone.
The next morning at 10 no tow truck. I call again and he tells me had trouble with his phone can I send the info again. 30 minutes later I call back and he says he didn’t have the right truck and that his flatbed driver would be there in 30 minutes. 1 hour later I call back and they tell me the winch is broken and needs to be replaced, and that they’ll be there in 30 minutes.
After that I just hired a new company.
Everyone has a bad day, and this might just been one of those days when things didn’t go right. But my expierence was poor. But, the main contact did have a pleasant phone presence, so… there is that.

The worse service they made me wait 3:30 hours to get a pick up at the freeway no happy at all my insurance should firs check before assignment I’ll never call this place again

I’m so thankful this place exists!
I had a car lockout issue and needed to get my car towed home, a mile away. There was a lot of issues getting my car towed and we even waited two or more hours but he (I think his name is Luis?) stayed the whole time until the job was done. I feel really bad because he got there around 7:45 and it wasn’t completed until around 10:15.
I spoke to the owner on the phone when I called. He was very kind and gave me a discount because my home was less than a mile away. They are all super friendly people and if I could afford it, I’d go back and tip them like $ 100 :)

My car broke down on my way to work so I called the towing company since it says they are ²⁴⁄₇. The guy answered and told me he was to tired he couldn’t come. If your advertising 24 hours then you should have drivers who can work those times.

Made an appointment the night before for 7:30 am. Woke up earlier, dressed the kids earlier, to be ready on time. 7:30 came and went. By 7:50 I start calling, no answer, no voice mail, worse yet no call back from them. By 8:15 I called another company Branson’s Tow and within 20 minutes they showed up. By 9:00 this company not only did not show, they didn’t bother calling me at all. Worse customer service. Look elsewhere or call Branson’s tow.

Warning! I wouldn’t recommend this towing service to any of my friends. Worst service in my life! Where should I even start? The guy named John (I believe his the owner of the shop, sadly) is a thief… He stole my Ray ban sunglasses & my i phone. When we got to my drop off point, I noticed they were missing, so I told him about it, and he completely snapped. Started to curse in front of my little girl and getting aggressive in my face, all of this while I could see my sunglasses poking out of his front pocket. I told him forget it, keep ‘em it wasn’t worth getting into an altercation, especially in front of my little girl. So, hide your expensive items if you do decide to go with this guy!

They didn’t even answer the phone when I called to ask where the driver was.
I was stuck on the side of 91 freeway for 5hours before another tow truck came…
PREFERRED TOWING is definitely the way to go.
These guys will make want commit murder, unless you like being stuck hopeless and helpless situations… STRAIGHT UP JERKS !

Does not even deserve a star. This place was a waste of time. When I called I was immediately put on hold. I needed to get a car towed that was blocking my garage and they never showed up. To make matters worse when I tried calling again it went straight to voicemail. This experience was very unprofessional. I would not recommend this company to anyone!

In a bit of a bind and needed a tow real quick. Called Gold Star and spoke with John who was extremely professional, patient, and gave me up front pricing. Got my old Honda Accord towed cheaper than other locations nearby, quick, and painless. Hopefully, I won’t need a tow, but if I do I know who to call. Saved their number on my phone and will recommend to any other Unilocalers needing to make a decision.

Great service got to me really fast.
And John the driver was really nice had a great conversation with him would highly recommend him to all my friends and family

Called and as soon as I asked if they could give me an estimate the guy hung up on me, and didn’t pick up the phone after calling repeatedly again.
I would ask for costs up front.

John did a nice job loading the 93 corvette on his flatbed truck. No damage. We agreed on 260.00 but ended up being 270.00. He had really bad traffic so 39 mile tow took 2 hours. Everything worked out well. I would use again.

These guys came threw I called these guys up at 3:00 in the morning after my 00 Cadillac Escalade wouldn’t start up, no other towing company answered & if they did they said I wouldn’t be able to get help until the morning. So with that being the situation I would most definitely recommend Golden Star Towing.

After calling a few other places that didn’t answer we came across the Unilocal account for this company. Open ²⁴⁄₇! Stupid for a towing company to not be, am I right?!
30 minute wait and cost $ 95 for a flat bed to go 5 miles (15 minutes) to drop the car off at the garage. Rich was super helpful and really friendly! He even made sure he couldn’t help fix it before towing it and gave advice on the issue.
Definitely recommend this company thank you so much, Rich!

These guys are awesome, got my 02 Camaro SS towed by Jr, dude was very nice and helpful. The fact that was a car guy and had the experienced required to troubleshoot the issue and make the towing experience a much nicer experience was great, his brother John was very helpful and imediatly understood that I would need a flatbed truck instead of the standard one due to my car being a bit lowered, Best damn experience ever! Highly recommended, BEST TOW SERVICES AROUND THE ⁷¹⁴⁄₉₄₉ AREA (EVEN LA AREA)

I needed to tow my car from my work (Disney parking lot) at 6:00pm and the guy from this towing company seemed nice on the phone so I went for it. He said he would be over in 30 minutes but every time I called him he was either in HB or going back to LA which means he bypassed my request. I decided to be patient and waited a few more hours, next thing I knew it was about 11:15 pm when he decided to show up.
Once he picked up my car I decided to ask him if it would be much of a hassle to tow it a couple miles down and my bill when up from 60 to 95 dollars.
I hope you guys have a better experience and I hope you guys don’t get bypassed like if your money doesn’t count. Enjoy «Camel-​tow service, because this stinks».
