H&R Block

I’ve been here twice. Both times I’ve been a walk in and they’ve taken me without waiting longer then a few minutes.
If you can’t afford their honest and professional tax preperation then I’d suggest using turbo tax or going to a whole in the wall place that charges $ 40 to 80 $. Trust me there’s plenty. So ya no reason for you to be their if your broke.
I value their professionalism and expect not to get scammed.
They use a program to file your taxes so if you didn’t get what you expected well guess what it’s because they weren’t trying to find loop holes to get you extra money because they don’t want the irs asking you and them a bunch of questions later.
Btw I had Delores and she was great.

DO NOT GO HERE!!! If I could use zero stars, I would. Delores Topps, an elderly woman who works there, supposedly the «best tax» woman, almost screwed me and my family into $ 2,400! Funny, after we paid an actual tax PROFESSIONAL, we got $ 1,500 BACK! That’s a HUGE difference. She made numerous mistakes, and if it wasn’t for me fighting for myself and getting another look, she would have filed as is, not even second guessing her mistakes. She doesn’t understand or know how to work the computer, and clearly doesn’t understand how to file taxes now in the new ages. Steer clear of this company, this location, and for sure Delores. They tried to then after we caught these huge mistakes ourself charge us $ 412 for their services. Are you kidding me!?! What services. If it wasn’t for me and speaking up she could have put us into serious IRS debt. Then when I said I demanded a discount she yelled at me in front of my child and the whole store saying she never made a mistake and she’s SOOO good at her job and did nothing wrong, and my opinion was incorrect. Like clearly this senile woman couldn’t understand that we watched her make multiple mistakes, and then sit there and fight me every time I told her she needed to ask for help because honestly I was tired of sitting there with my baby through this damn 4 hour appointment when keep in mind I didn’t even work for a dime last year, my husband was the only W2! H & R block clearly has an awful name for a reason, and it is because of their dinosaur employees and AWFUL customer service.

$ 190 to get your taxes prepared if you are a student, work part time, and are broke. Ridiculous!, and that’s from someone who makes poverty income. Unfortunately, once they prepare them you can’t just back out.

I see that you can schedule an appt. with H & R off of Unilocal too, it’s sad that even after I did this on their OWN website and showing up on time at 10:30 am I was told I wasn’t supposed to be there until 12? I have gotten 3 email reminders from H & R block, I’m pretty sure I know what appt time I scheduled for! To top it off the tax professional was running late and no one could help me. No apology given or any offer of how I could be accommodated, left and went to Liberty! If their system can’t even schedule an appt right I’m afraid of how they would file my tex returns!
