Awful experience! I thought I was in a nightmare! She pricked me with her pins and got blood on my dress and she was rude and unprofessional. We did not share the same vision which made me reluctant to leave my dress in the hands of Teresa. Also, my Mom has had some experience with sewing and saw that Teresa was not making appropriate suggestions. When I told Teresa I was not leaving my dress she got upset because I made her do all the pinning for nothing, but how else was I suppose to see what type of work she would be doing to my dress? Overall, I was very disappointed and found another place that was cleaner, professional, less expensive and would have my dress ready sooner.

If I could give this place less than one star, I would. My sister bought her dress across the street at Mariposa and they recommended getting alterations done here. My sister had an amazing experience at Mariposa which surprises me that they would recommend this place. First off, when we got there, she made us wipe our feet on these dirty little cloths on the floor because she didn’t want us taking dirt into the fitting room. The fitting room was not nice and the floor looked dirty. She started pinning my sister in her dress and my sister pricked herself on one of the pins which resulted in a blood spot on my sister’s brand new dress! She was not even apologetic and told my sister she needed to be more careful. She just got a wet towel to wipe it off and acted like it was not a big deal. It is a big deal! She wasn’t even gonna take the pins out when my sister was undressing and told my sister she shouldn’t have had her pin the dress if she wasn’t gonna leave it. How would my sister know if she wanted this lady to do her alterations without seeing what she would do to the dress??? She even got mad that my sisters future mother in law used the restroom without telling her. This place is awful. Teresa is rude and unprofessional. Take your dress elsewhere. My sister sure is.

Teresa is amazing! She does excellent work. Her work is not cheap but worth every penny. I am very very thin and my bridal gowns needed a ton of work. I had a ball gown for my ceremony and a mermaid gown for the reception. My reception gown had very intricate beading so I was concerned with how Teresa would alter the upper body without interfering with the design… I don’t know how she did it but it was amazing! She’s very honest and straightforward. She will tell you what can and cannot be done. She suggested we add cups to my gowns so that I wouldn’t need a bra and it was the best thing we could’ve done. My gowns were a hit, but most importantly, I was comfortable and I was able to enjoy my wedding. I added a bustle to my reception dress because it had a small train but I didn’t even end up using the bustle because the train looked so lovely down (just be careful while you dance). So looking back, I wish I would’ve saved the money spent to add the bustle. All in all, highly recommended!

After taking my dress into a couple different places and thoroughly reading through Unilocal reviews, I decided to check out Harmony Alterations and I am so glad I did!
Not only was my dress way too big on me (size was too big AND it needed quite a bit taken off at the bottom since I’m so short!) but it had several layers and needed a special bustle. Oh, and I also only had three weeks until my wedding day.
I knew as soon as I had my dress on and Theresa started walking me through what needed to be done that I was in good hands. Sometimes, you have a good feeling about people! Sure, the pricing was a little more than some of the other places i checked out, but I just couldn’t afford to risk someone ruining my dress! Especially since time was of the essence!
I just picked up my dress today (she had it done a week before my wedding) and it was perfect! I couldn’t be happier and she was so sweet about everything. If you want peace of mind that your dress will turn out the way you need it, this is your place!

I was recommended to Harmony after I bought my dress at Mariposa. Teresa did an awesome job on my dress. I highly recommend her. I can’t wait for my day!

After reading some of the reviews, I was very skeptical about bringing my dress in. I went in with my mom and was greeted by Theresa. SHE IS AMAZING. Super friendly, easy to talk to, easy going, and very honest. You can roll in with ideas with what you want and she will give you her honest opinion– but get what you want done. Pricing was fair– all I had to get done was to get the shoulder part of my dress tightened and have a bustle made. My wedding is in one week and Theresa had everything done in one week. Amazing work.

I literally just picked up my dress and Teresa is the best! I had back fat hanging out and swore I would work it off but didn’t lol and Teresa let it out in the back to fix it! Turned the neckline into a sweetheart and loved it! I was skeptical at first because all of the mixed reviews on here but I’d definitely red her to all brides. Plus she was nothing but sweet to me.

I posted a review to the wrong alteration store and can’t seem to remove it :(I have to edit this one so 5 stars for my mistake.

Theresa is such a wonderful lady! :) she fitted my dress to my body so beautifully and made my bustle so perfect and simple to do! She also did a tutorial on how to corset my dress extra tight :) also, she works very quick and so precise! I adore this lady and definitely recommend you going to her! :)

1. I went in the store smiling and actually said to her «I’m sorry this didn’t work out». I am not a confrontational person.
2. I actually did not raise my voice once. I sat there crying in her chair.
3. I have a recording of her yelling at me with me saying I just wanted my money back and to leave.
4. I NEVER ever made fun of her accent. I am NOT a liar and it makes me upset because I am the most honest person and would tell you if I was wrong or if I ever said anything. I am of a different nationality and my parents have accents so why would I ever say that? That is so sad that someone would make up this lie. And only me and the Man upstairs know the truth.

8. Everything I said on here is the truth. And i do not LIE. I even feel bad that this situation happened. I even apologized to her that it didn’t work out. But this is MY experience with her. It’s sad that all these lies were told from whoever and I feel bad that people have to make stuff. I have no reason to lie. I’m shocked that things were made up like the accent thing or that i was «irate». The Man knows upstairs the truth and I can go to bed at night knowing that I did not say or do these things.

This is my first Unilocal review and I feel it necessary to write about my experience. Any bride to be will relate that when you drop your wedding dress to a tailor you have never met before that you feel very nervous and anxious however you have faith in the wedding dress shop that made the recommendation, you also probably phone your MOH and say «is this normal to feel so worried»!
I took my wedding dress to Teresa in August and my first experience was great, she was very friendly, direct… which I liked, informative and calmed my nerves. I walked away feeling assured but still a little anxious as I was not picking my dress up until October.
This week I went back into Unilocal as I wanted to confirm with Teresa that it was still OK for me to pick up my dress today. I was horrified to read the review by KP C and was completely panic stricken, thankfully I only had two sleepless nights until picking up my dress.
My dress is beautiful and my bustle is stunning and I extremely happy. I should also mention that my dress wasn’t an easy dress and it needed a lot of detailed work.
My advise for any bride to be, if you are looking for perfection and you want to give your dress to someone you can trust then you should take it to Teresa. For any bride that has already dropped your dress to Teresa your dress will also be stunning please do not loose any sleep over KP. C review.

First off, I hate seeing bad people try to ruin a good thing, so I’d like to debunk that crazy, negative review. Teresa is one of the sweetest tailors I’ve ever met. She’s very honest, detail-​oriented, and direct.
I can imagine that if anyone had a bad experience with her, it’s because
A. the customer acted like she owned the place
B. she made fun of Teresa’s English, and generally walked in with a bad attitude
C. she’s just trying to ruin Teresa’s pristine work record for some selfish reason
I can also bet that that story was a total lie because I got fitted just last week at Teresa’s, and when I told her that I found her off of Unilocal,she told me she’s been getting more business than she has time for, and she wishes she could delete the site to avoid having so much business. So, I doubt she cared that that psycho gave her a negative review. Chances are, she doesn’t even check Unilocal.
Also, for such a nice lady to be pushed to call the cops, the bride was probably irate, which is entirely possible, given that insane review.
With all that out of the way, I took my gown to Teresa, and she was very helpful in altering the dress to help it fit my odd shape better. She was full of helpful suggestions and went step-​by-​step with me to explain what she was going to change. Love her – just wish she would tailor non-​bridal.

Awful service. … RUDE RUDE RUDE. I don’t understand why Teresa feels the need to give so much attitude. For sure taking my business some where else.

This is a small shop across street from mariposa boutique. I had an appointment at 1130, and Teresa didn’t show up. I called her twice and left a voice message to call me back. She didn’t call me back and didn’t show up. So unprofessional. It was so difficult to make an appointment on the phone. Only reason I tried to go to her was because mariposa boutique recommended this place. I wouldn’t give her any star. I’m going to a different place to alter my wedding dress.

This place is a small alteration shop. The woman who runs this shop does great work and has good prices. She has great customer service and will take care of your needs when altering the way your clothes make you feel!

Harmony Alterations run by Teresa is an independent alterations and seamstress service that specializes in wedding dress alterations. They are located across the street from the Mariposa Bridal boutique and therefore a lot of brides who purchase their wedding dress from Mariposa will get referred over to Teresa for their alterations since Mariposa does not have an in-​house seamstress and alterations service. Teresa and her team do very quality work in the alterations for the wedding dresses. They’ve been doing this a long time and the quality shows. She knows just what you need altered to make you look your best on the big day. However, for that quality, the price is definitely on the higher end to get your wedding dress alterations done. There were no challenges with Teresa’s service the first time around with my wedding. The dress was ready right when she said it would be.
There was one challenge that I did encounter the second time I used her services. I also did a one-​year wedding anniversary do-​over photo shoot in which I needed my wedding dress re-​steamed and prepped for the photo shoot. After going through a difficult ordeal with my wedding photographer and photos which contributed to the need for me to do the do-​over photo shoot, I discovered a more unfriendly side to Teresa’s customer service. I had brought back my wedding dress which was already preserved. It had been left in its preserved state and I needed to bring it back to Teresa so that she can prepare it for the photo shoot. I didn’t think it would be a big issue to transport the wedding dress in its preservation box and have it be taken out at her shop. It was certainly easier to transport a fluffy wedding dress in a neat box rather than to put it in your car all opened up already. When I arrived, Teresa wanted to see the dress again to remind her of what she needed to do. She was very upset that the dress wasn’t already opened up and ready for her to see. She was grumbling about having to help open up the box and undo all of the tying down that the preservation company put into place. I let her know that I didn’t mind undoing all of it and getting it out of the box if she could just give me some scissors. This isn’t something that I do every day so it took me longer to get it all undone. It was clearly visible that she was very impatient with the process and just kept grumbling and complaining that this wasn’t part of her job to help with this. I found this experience very unwelcoming and very uncomfortable especially after having been completely satisfied with her service the year before. She made uncomfortable comments like she didn’t want to be held liable for any damage that may be incurred through the process of getting the dress loose. Yet, when I was going to try and do it myself, she still took charge and did it herself. If she was going to just do it herself, then why grumble and make it an awkward and uncomfortable moment to begin with. Honestly, going through a difficult ordeal with my wedding photographer that was beyond my control is already tormenting enough without Teresa having to make the moment worse and remind me about the unfortunate circumstances that put me in this situation. There was no apology offered either on her part.
The other thing that I regretted was that a few weeks prior, she had quoted me a specific price to get the dress re-​steamed and prepped. Once the dress was finally undone from the preservation box, I think she saw the dress and then increased the price by a significant amount in contrast to what she previously quoted me. Her reasoning was because the dress had a lot of pick-​ups which she just re-​noticed when the dress was out. By that time, the moment was just so awkward that I said ok, whatever so that I could get out of there. The dress was steamed and prepped well just like it had been the previous year but my last encounter with Teresa unfortunately just left a really bitter taste in my mouth. She was very nice and pleasant for actual brides getting ready for their wedding. She was very warm before my wedding and treated you with golden gloves as you are a bride getting ready for your wedding. She wanted to make sure that you had your dress perfect for the big day. Maybe it was because I was no longer a bride getting married that I was waived from quality customer service on her part. The monster in Teresa really came out to claw me. If it hadn’t been for this last encounter, I would’ve had rave reviews for Teresa and her alteration services. The only thing that I would’ve griped about was the costliness of her services. It’s unfortunate too because I really loved the Mariposa Bridal boutique where I got my dress from and who referred me over to Teresa. Standard brides getting ready for their wedding will most likely get awesome service but just get ready to pay a higher premium for her services.

I came here on the recommendation of Mariposa Boutique to get my wedding dress hemmed. When I arrived to Harmony Alterations, I was told that my dress would need at least a month for the hem to be completed but when I told Teresa that my wedding was in three weeks, she said, «No problem, I will get it done in ten days for you.» Thankfully, my hem was completed in the ten days she promised and it came out perfectly!
This is not your run-​of-​the-​mill alterations because she specializes in formal occasions, primarily wedding dresses. For my hem, the total came out to roughly $ 260 and she charges tax for those paying with credit cards. I would also highly recommend calling her ahead of time to set up an appointment because her door is always locked and she’ll let you know what’s a good time to come in.
I got lost trying to find the place but you can find Harmony Alterations on the corner of Cypress and Anaheim Blvd across the street from Mariposa Boutique. It’s right between the church and auto shop.

I came to Teresa about a year ago after I was turned down by 3 different tailors around Orange County that told me they would not be able to take my dress down to my size, I had lost a significant amount of weight since I purchased it and it was about 3 sizes too big. I was quoted an outrageously high price from one of them, but they said the dress still would never fit me like a glove, it was just too big, it would literally need to be re-​cut in order to truly fit and this was something that they just wouldn’t do. I could not find anyone in Orange County that could help me, I was at Mariposa Bridal purchasing a petticoat and told them about my troubles and they recommended I go see Teresa. She was my last hope! Not only was she able to fix every tiny little thing I asked her to do, her pricing was so fair I was in shock! She charged me about half what the other tailor quoted me (for not even being able to actually fix the dress) and she did more than double the work.
In addition to taking the dress in 3 sizes in the bust and about 2 sizes in the waste, I needed the skirt lengthened, which required her to add a second layer of the intricately beaded lace to the bottom of the hem. The whole skirt needed to be widened to accommodate my huge petticoat, a bustle added, and a few other small changes I needed to the design. She really went above and beyond, she tightened up all the loose beads, and she made sure there wasn’t a mark on the dress, when I picked it up it was spotless! I really can’t say enough about how much she has done for me, her exquisite craftsmanship, kind and bubbly personality made it more than worth my while to drive all the way to Anaheim from Huntington Beach (in rush hour traffic) and took away all my Bridal fears that my dress would never fit me the way I had always envisioned.
If you have some serious repair work that needs to be done for the dress of your dreams, there is nowhere else to go but Harmony Alterations!

Being that I’m 5’2, I probably should stay away from buying long dresses. However, I came across a beautiful gown that was 50% off on cyber Monday and couldn’t help myself. When it came in, the dress fit perfectly except that it was a bit long. Even with heels, the dress was still an inch long. I brought it to Harmony Alterations because the store is literally a block away from my house.
Great customer service. The tailoring turned out to be a bit more complicated than expected given that the material was a very light, chiffon style fabric with many layers. (I’ve attached a picture of the dress that I bought for an example of the different layers and the fabric).
I dropped off the dress with at least 6 weeks until when I needed it. I was told it would be ready a week before the event. I got a call from Theresa a few days when my dress should have been ready and received a voicemail that it wouldn’t be ready for another couple of days (still at least 6 days before the event). When I picked up the dress, the length was perfect! You can tell a lot of time went into making sure the dress looked great. I paid $ 85 in cash for the alterations which seems a bit steep for me but considering I got the dress for 50% off and because each layer needed tailoring, I think the price was fair.
If you’re driving down Anaheim Street from Lincoln, turn left on Cypress where the auto repair shop is; the store is at the end of the parking lot behind the auto repair shop.

This place is awesome. Theresa is fantastic. She is an excellent tailor and she will alter your dress how you want it.
Little Story: I bought a wedding label for my dress, but it didn’t come until about 3 weeks after I went for my fitting. I called Theresa and told her that I would like it sewn onto my dress and asked her how much she charges for it. She told me no problem it would be no charge and that it was an easy thing to add to my dress!
Fantastic Customer Service! If you are looking for a place to get your wedding dress altered I would go to Theresa she is Fantastic and a real sweetheart.
