Kamal Trading

I used to buy all my chain, wire, and findings online as only online could I find competitive prices. As usual, however, I ran out of sterling silver chain and desperately needed to complete customer orders in time for Mother’s Day. I found Kamal Trading on Google and since it wasn’t a far drive, I decided to give the shop a try. I did, however, expect the chain to be highly overpriced and for the remaining inventory to consist of cheap beads and pearls. I was wrong! It’s a family-​run business and a tight-​run ship with a LARGE selection of sterling silver, gold-​fill, and solid gold chain, wire, and findings. I’ve already purchased there twice and paid each time at least $ 20 – 50 less than what I paid for bulk purchases online. Best part is the new sterling silver chain I purchase is more qualitative and cheaper than my old favorite. Only downside is they’re only open during business hours, but they take online and phone orders, and they respond quickly. I am a fan and will return time and again!

Great findings, fast service when ordering by mail. Gold filled and sterling findings. Great prices! I usually buy from them at the gem shows.

I would give 5 stars because they have a great selection and good prices, but I am docking a star because their website shows being open Saturday and after making the drive down they are in fact not open on Saturdays during the summer. I’m bummed but will still come back when I can find time during the week.

In response to a previous review, Kamal Trading is not a bead store! They specialize in findings. They have a great selection of findings in sterling, gold filled, and 14K gold. I have been buying from Kamal for over 20 years and have found no other company that gives me the same customer service, selection, price, and convenient location.

They would get a higher rating, but the selection is not quite big enough to be perfect, though they have a good selection of the materials they have limited themselves to. They are the only local source I know of for sterling wire, clasps and all sorts of findings in two little rooms… they used to have walls of beads but no more… now a few beads but a lot of Swarovski stones, various sizes and willing to order what they do not have. The service is generally good, the prices competitive and you don’t need to pay shipping.
The parking lot can be a challenge, small and poorly laid out. Not sure of their hours, I’d suggest calling ahead.
Nice to be able to get materials without the dreaded drive down town and to see the findings instead of ordering online and not knowing what you are getting.
