Bright and colorful, just as Wonderland should be! This is a family-friendly rock show that covers contemporary music by performers dressed as rocked-out versions of Alice in Wonderland characters, such as Alice(who’s the lead singer), Mad Hatter, and Cheshire Cat. When I was there, they covered«Uptown Funk» by Mark Ronson(a song I don’t care for, but was covered very well), «Part of Me,» by Katy Perry, and 2 other songs I couldn’t recognize. Reading through other reviews, it seems that they they change the songs they play. I didn’t stay long after the first performance, since we had Fastpass rides we needed to catch, but this is a performance to definitely check out here.

Maybe I’m a little biased in my five-star review. I was asked for my ID here when I ordered a drink. For the first time in years… and years. Maybe they do that with every adult, who knows? I don’t care, I’ll take it! Anyway, this in and of itself made my night. But sipping on the drink made me even more giddy. That drink(Diamond Zombie) was strong! But for $ 12.50…it better be! Loved the glowing diamond in the drink:) My friend and I were here for about an hour, dancing our cares away to the music. Loads of fun and a great way to start the night. Afterward we went to Mickey’s Fun Wheel(non-swinging gondola of course) and took in a great view of the park. Even better when you have a strong buzz. I go to Disneyland or Cali Adventure at least once a month, typically with kids in tow. This was a great attraction to go to sans kids because the whole vibe is so adult. There were some kids there and they were cute doing their little dancing. There just weren’t a lot of them. Which admittedly, was nice for a change.

My absolute favorite place to be in the evening. Coming here to eat ice cream and relax after a day of work is the best! The music, band and shows are always entertaining and are of top-notch Disney quality.

A rock show and an electronic dance party at DCA? Now THIS is a party! While Freeze the Night was a family-friendly dance party, let’s be honest… it was kinda boring. So, imagine our surprise when we found out that the Mad T Party(now known as the Diamond Mad T Party, due to Disneyland’s 60th anniversary) was back in spades! And, seeing how we hadn’t been there properly, it was time to check it out. We’d heard the live musicians in previous visits; they actually do a great job with their covers… and in one instance, they mashed up The Romantics’ «What I Like About You» with Pharrell’s «Happy»(and believe me, it works). By the time we got to the area, though, the band was taking a well deserved break — right before the White Rabbit took the stage for his DJ set. While we may be in our early 40s, I gotta admit — the music and the vibe of the crowd was very positive! Young or old, everybody was jumping to the beat — and with the lights, the sounds, and the multitude of glowing drinks in people’s hands(hell, we even brought out our glowing tchotchkes from our earlier drinks at Ariel’s Grotto!), it was a very fun night! Looking forward to returning back to the Mad T Party to get our groove on — and I wonder if they’ll let us bring some glow sticks and/or light-up bracelets and necklaces?

THESEGUYSROCK!!! When the Mad-T band started playing two and half years ago, I thought to myself, hey, these are guys pretty good. A little time and polish and these guys may develop into a legit solid band. Wow, was I in for a surprise… because that’s exactly what happened! These guys evolved into an awesome band with superior vocals, phenomenal guitar and bass, spot on key boards and a drummer that punished those f***ing drums on a nightly basis. These guys are legit young musicians and artists. The Mad-T band soon had exceeded all my expectations. They harmonized and gelled into a single unit that produces solid, flawless music! Their live shows are so good; I would gladly pay a ticket price to hear them play. My friends and I on numerous occasions hit up DCA and we don’t even go on rides. We hit Carthay Circle for cocktails and appetizers, then go listen to live music at Mad-T. And… perhaps grab a few more drinks at Mad-T I went to their last show on Sunday. It was cold, it was rainy and there had to be a 1000 people there! Double encore with a grand finale! So sad to see them go. Their show is over. Apparently, Disney is creating a Frozen themed music show there… because, Frozen has only grossed over 1 Billion Dollars… I guess the Mouse wants more money. However, Rumor has it that this may be a hiatus with an unconfirmed return date in May 2015. Let’s hope so! Also, I hope the mouse’s CFO sees the revenue they’re going to lose from the bar at Mad-T. Unless of course, those parents get chocolate wasted after hearing«Let it go» for the 99th million time. #savemadt

Loved the show, but unfortunely 11/30/2014 is the last day this show will run.

I saw the Disney Parks Blog post when they first announced Mad T Party as the replacement for ElecTRONica and the concept art just looked plain silly — the outfits for the band looked over the top and the setting looked unappealing. Now, I enjoy stopping by at night for some great music and vocals by Alice, Mad Hatter and the band(the costumes look a lot better than in the drawings). I love the dance spins from White Rabbit DJ(and total dig the headphone light-up rabbit ears). And I also try to make sure I catch bouncers Tweedledee and Tweedledum(tattooed names at the back of their heads, British accents, and platform shoes) intro up the hottest deck of dancing cards in town. It really does seem like a mini Disneyfied rave at the Happiest Place on Earth. I’m a little sad their run is ending this Sunday, likely to make way for some Frozen-themed event. But it was nice to enjoy while it lasted, even as they adjust the party for the holidays like Halloween and Christmas. Hopefully they’ll be back after the holidays!

Who knew this existed inside California Adventures?! Loud music, mesmerizing lights, and colorful drinks is what made Mad T Party. Great place for parents to have a drink and dance break after a long day of lines. Don’t worry, kids will enjoy this place too. My toddler nephews loved the lights and music. They also had people in costumes walking around and acrobats performing for a brief moment. This is definitely a must see attraction. It starts quite early, so you can stop by the party before catching the World of Color show at 9pm! SCORE! If you don’t like the music, at least grab a drink. You’ll get to keep the lit up martini cup or the ice cube.

This is one of my FAVORITE events at Disneyland’s California Adventures. I invite anyone who loves to dance, listen to rock, hip-hop or house/techno to stop by, get one of the many cocktails(yes, there is LOTS of alcohol in these cocktails so beware) and shake your booty for a few hours. I’ve gone here at least 100 times with my family and it never gets old. The«Hottest Deck in Town» dancers are always awesome as is the White Rabbit DJ! There are different DJ’s and Adam Auburn is the best one… look him up ;) The party usually starts at 6pm and if you get their a little early you can see the cool opening skit Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dum perform before allowing guests through the rabbit hole. I loved this party back when it was ElecTRONica and it’s even better now as the Mad T Party. GO!

If only they had something like this when I was a teenager or young adult… We have attended the Mad T Party on many occasions and have had a different experience every time. It’s a great party for the whole family but truly the most fun for the teen and twenty crowd. We do enjoy watching all the foolishness though. We saw the opening of the party this last time is the pre show is great fun. Tweedle Dum and Tweedle Dee are hilarious and have the right amount of Tim Burton Creepy about them. Remember to find out the secret word! The band is always great Alice as the Lead singer, The Hatter Lead Male and the Rabbit is DJ. During the Party there are all kinds of visual fun from giant puppetry, amazing light shows and acrobatics. Dance Dance Dance! You can have a cocktail but if you are with smaller children check out the arcade behind the over sized chairs and lamps.

From the hosts The Tweedles, the delectable djs, the dancers in the Hottest Deck in town, the twisty trapeze act, and the incredibly talented cover band, to the flamingo riders and hosts/bar staff who serve some strong libations this is a great party. I recommend avoiding the front of the band stage and standing near the sound booth for optimal sound and visual excitement. I also recommend standing in front of the dancers stage to see their effects at full and cheer them on! They smile more when you do! Drinks are costly because you are on resort property, and there is a slight issue with the overly intoxicated at times but I still enjoy a monthly trip out to the T party. Also, during grad night sessions(mid-may to mid-june) there is an over abundance of teenagers trying to get their rave on and they do not serve alcohol on these nights. Halloween and christmas time come with special music for the season. You can also celebrate new years with the T party but I recommend bracing yourself for quite the crowd. If you have young children or anyone who is sensitive to loud noise bring simple ear plugs to filter out most of the noise. It will not affect how you hear the music but it will help diminish the impact on your ear drums.

Every time I’m visiting Disneyland, it’s a must to come to Mad Tea Party at night. The band is always amazing; dance circles are always happening. Music and lights, along with drinks that don’t stipe on the alchy? Best combo. This is a good place to socialize and people watch. I say people watch, because you can honestly see a lot of DIFFERENT people dancing to the music, and it’s usually hilarious. My absolute favorite thing to do during Mad Tea Party is catching the band perform! Alice and the Mad Hatter have great chemistry, whoever they are. I’ve only seen two different people for each character, but they work the crowd perfectly. The drinks are STRONG, but really good! I’m usually a «one and done» type of girl with the drinks here, haha. They have new drinks now too. I tried the Who-R-Ucane(Hurricane) drink with the cute little flashing light inside, and it was super good. Overall, good vibes. Great to mingle and drink, and listen to good music. Oh, with a kid ride(Monsters Inc.) right behind it. But that’s okay. ;)

Everytime I go to California Adventure, I make sure I ALWAYS go to Mad T Party. The band that plays here is absolutely amazing and always engage the crowd. When the DJ comes out however, that’s when sh*t gets down. There’s usually going to be a dance circle somewhere and it always gets better when there’s really big crowds. Having started a dance circle there myself, there’s always good vibes, good music, and damn good dancers of all styles performing in these circles from shufflers, krumpers, poppers, lockers, b-boys/breakdancers, and freestylers pro and amateur alike. Sometimes, they would skip the acrobatic act and just let the DJ perform a full set. It’s also a really great place to socialize especially for teens or young adults. However there’s one staff member/guard(Nikki, I think) that gets on your a$$ and threatens to kick you out of the park(which she actually does sometimes) if she spots you b-boying/breakdancing or if you get down on the floor. Overall, it’s really good place to socialize, dance, and chill and there’s always good vibes.

Great to everyone in the family. MadTParty band plays cover songs from all eras. Great mix of music and very entertaining. Dancers at the House of Cards Stage do a great routine in between the music sets. Drinks are strong, but pricey. Could use more food options. Especially finger snacks. Different DJ mix up the beats between the dancers and the band.

I’m an Alice in Wonderland fan, so I enjoy the atmosphere of the Mad T Party. I got a glimpse of the cirque du soleil style acrobatic act, and DJing. I wish there were more. They have flashing drinks, and cool décor. It sounds like a great place for young adults to mingle after a long day in the park.

Exactly what I needed after being exhausted from being in the happiest place on earth lol we got here at around 830pm and I was already losing feeling in my legs. Found this place because of the loud music and cool lights haha They had an Alice in Wonderland theme to it and it was very fitting of the party nightlife lol Big stage with a DJ and performers up there singing mashups and a really cool bar that served drinks with lit up ice cubes that made the drinks even better: P plenty of places to sit and relax after a long day. They also make their long islands pretty strong so get ready to have some fun!

This would get a full 5 star, but having just gone back they changed the main«Mad» Hatter singer and he is not nearly as good. It is located in the back Hollywood area and once the music starts its easy to find. It goes off with the live show on the hour usually around 7pm ish. Alice makes an appearance on stage for a few songs then they throw it to the House of Cards stage for some side show entertainment. Overall it can be a great time, it’s all about the«magic» you are willing to experience and go with it. I am hoping for a new«Mad» Hatter soon, but we had a blast the first time we did this. I started off paying for beer then decided I would ask the lady at the House of Cards what the best bang for my buck would be. She suggested the Long Island Ice Tea, damned if she wasn’t right; they were really strong which totally shocked me. My wife and I had a few of those and we danced the night away. Did find out though on nights when they host grad nights, no alcohol is served… silly teenagers. Overall, it is a great night time experience at the park that can be enjoyed by a range of ages, I have seen 6 years olds jump into dance battles with teenagers and get cheered on to 70+ grandma’s rocking it out harder than anyone. This is definitely a must do at California Adventure.

We sort of stumbled across this event while we were heading toward Monster’s Inc. We saw the lights, heard the music, but didn’t intend to stop; rather, we would skirt the action. However, we were confronted by a brightly costumed gentlemen, demanding that we dance in order to pass through. We laughed, took a step. he was serious. Insistent. We really wanted to get on the ride, but the price was a dance. Curiouser and curiouser. I did what any self respecting, corporate job having, grown ass woman would do. I did the robot. Hardcore. We were granted access. When we exited the ride, we hung around for a bit. Imma tell ya: for a danceparty/clurb in DCA, it was not a bad scene! The music was dancey and super catchy, sung by a hip hop punk Mad Hatter and Alice. The March Hare was on the 1s and 2s. A nightmare-inspiring ginormo Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dum were creeping about, and fascinated my bestie to the point she hunted them down and took a picture. It was bright, colorful, loud. And now I am to understand there was booze available? A whole bar?! Well hell. Next time! VERDICT: Go take a look! Prepare to Running Man for your entry.

Fun for the whole family. I was blown away by the details. Just came back from Vegas the week before and it had all the elements of a rave, without drugs, nudity, raunchiness, and sex. The White Rabbit and Mad Hatter were amazing. Alice was too shrill and honestly I cringed when she sings, especially along with the Mad Hatter. I just wish they’d pick someone who sounds better and compliments the Mad Hatter performer, HE was outstanding. He had amazing charisma and sounded great live! The human slinky was awesome as well. The entire show was well thought out and just really great to see. From the house of cards to the scene dancers, it was a very fun, vibrant place to be at night, whereas the area used to be dark and dreary. Looking forward to the summer nights and enjoying the live performances. :)
