I’ve come here over the course of 2 years and I have mixed feelings about this place. My first round of sessions were with Chris and after those I was moved to Bob(I never had a say in that btw). To start I’d like to say I preferred Bob over Chris(Chris has a I am better than everyone attitude and pretty rude overall) After my first training I lost a significant amount of weight(close to 80lbs) I honestly think that was due to the things I was doing on my end but the workouts did help. After such success I came back a year later to help me get back on track as I noticed I was slowly putting weight back on. My second time I was again with Bob this time I actually worked out more days but lost no weight and felt no difference. I signed up for ONE month and it was pricey I was told I could possibly get a deal as i was a loyal client but that never happened. I am young with little money but I care about my well being so without hesitation invested what I could to Maxwell fitness. My training is now over and out of nowhere my bank is telling me I have an overdraft fee. Taken was 300 $ to Maxwell fitness I was sure this couldn’t be right so I texted Bob and he passed the buck to Chris who told me automatic payments were in the contract. This was something newly added to the contract that was not around my previous training days and between Bob and Chris noone told me this. I felt so helpless that was literally every dime I had to my name at the time and I told them I needed groceries gas to get to work etc. And he cared not one bit and suggested to «still come to your sessions since they are paid for» I was livid but still finished my training sessions and asked that my before and after photos be removed as I was not compensated at all for them and I did not want to represent/promote such a deceiving company. Chris Maxwell has still refused to remove my photos from his website or Unilocal.I am not one to be petty but I have called, my phone calls ignored. I have texted, my messages read and ignore and emailed all without any response. I have a list of other things that bothered me as well for instance my solo sessions would sometimes include other people without my consent. The scheduling was all over the place. I was always asked what we did last time(I am paying you, you should know what I did last and what we are doing today logging is simple) and I always was made to feel bad if I couldn’t make my appointments even after a heads up(I missed very few sessions) So overall I dislike this service I would not recommend I think you have so many other options if you do wish to proceed I would ask for Bob and read your contact thoroughly(it states that you have to give a 30 day written notice of cancellation which means you have to come in on your first day of training with a hand written letter stating that you do not wish to continue the following month) fucking ridiculous if you ask me !

*Note: Chris Maxwell is a young unprofessional, uncaring, dispassionate trainer. I believe he should limit himself to training men only in good physical condition. He has poor customer service. I am an overweight women, and with previous back and knee injuries, he gave me the impression that he was uncomfortable and unexperienced, about training somebody who wasn’t a «body builder». I went for a consult with my husband, he mentioned Chris’ lack of personality also. I assumed since he was a trainer he’d be OK training with my injuries. He didn’t seem concerned, he jotted down the info and said I’d need to see him 3x a week for 20min at about $ 200 for the whole month. Needless to say it was a HORRIBLE experience, he is very«snooty» he gives the impression that he thinks all overweight women find him attractive. He was having me do deadlifts and I mentioned my back hurt, he literally said“I can’t rub it for you” with a disgusted look on his face. OK I was only mentioning it so I wouldn’t get injured. 0 stars would be more suitable.

Great personal training. It is as it should be… personal. They mold your personalized program based on your goals, needs and abilities. They are knowledgeable, friendly and flexible. Lastly, the prices are very affordable. As of this post I’ve been training here about three months.

I’ve had the pleasure of working with Chris of Maxwell Fitness for over a year now. Chris is passionate about his craft and it shows in the interest that he displays for the progress of his clients. Thanks to Chris’ help, I’ve definitely seen and felt a change in my physical composition. I’m stronger, healthier, and more motivated. I recommend him wholeheartedly to anyone who is looking to improve his/her physical fitness. See you Thursday, Chris!
