On and On Boudoir

I’m a super duper tomboy who didn’t own a bra or anything «lingerie» so this was crazy revealing for me.
My session with Georgia started from a little experiment of mine. I’ve never done a boudoir shoot before, and wanted to dive into the headspace of what is sexy.
I wanted to challenge myself to feel sexy beyond the surface means of lingerie and poses. From our session together, Georgia GETS that. It’s in the little things, like so many things. See more of my experiment here:
Georgia came to our house, while my fiancé had flown out to SF so that we had full reign of the house. She helped me apply makeup and we got to know each other on a closer and more womanly level. It was so much fun to get out my head and just be directed by Georgia.
Georgia’s vision to create something that makes you «uncomfortable» was interesting. Being uncomfortable isn’t a bad thing as it sounds, but a state of being intrigued, curious and even a little daring.
After my experience, I recommend doing such a liberating thing, not because you want to present your future husband with some pretty pictures, but because you have every right to feel beautiful and have fun with your body in the way that you want to. For me it’s about self-​acceptance.
I took my photos when I wasn’t in the best shape, my skin was breaking out AND I was on my period. But it didn’t matter. I had fun, I let go and it was absolutely safe to be myself in front of Georgia.
I believe every woman should experience this for themselves.

If you’re considering a Boudoir session, you MUST call Georgia! She is simply amazing!
As with most women, I’m super self conscious about my image and body, however, when I was asked if I wanted to do a Boudoir session with Georgia, I had no hesitation with saying YES! I really surprised myself! She took the time to talk to me about what her style was and made sure I would be comfortable before we moved forward. Since I’m not one who buys sexy lingerie and whatnot, she helped by putting together a private Pinterest board to give me ideas and inspiration. I can’t say days leading up to the shoot that I was very comfortable… If anything I started to freak out and nearly backed out because the thought of seeing myself in «sexy» photos sounded kinda gross!!! Of course, I ended up going through with the session and I’m so happy I did! When Georgia arrived at my house, we spent some time just talking about life and getting to know each other, she made it very comfortable to open up and talk so that we didn’t just jump into an uncomfortable photo session as strangers. She gave really great detailed instructions on how to pose, dress, and even breath! At no point in my session did I ever feel unattractive, fat, out of place, etc… she made the session very comfortable and built my confidence by telling me how beautiful the shot was, what a great job I was doing, how great the lighting was making me look, etc. The end result… my husband absolutely LOVED them! I really liked them too, but of course I’m nitpicking at all my flaws haha (GIRLS…)
