I’ve been to this place at least 3 times now to try and get some phở because it’s the closest to my house, and everytime I show up, they’re closed Even tho their business hours say they’re open, if you’re trying to come here, better to call and check if they’re even open first before making the drive.

Overall great simple phở. This is one of the few phở places that my parents don’t criticize(they’re Vietnamese so they’re picky about Vietnamese food). Usually there aren’t too many people in the restaurant so the food comes out pretty quick. I believe this place is most famous for their Phở Ga(chicken vermicelli noodle soup), although I’ve tried many of their beef noodle soups and all of them are pretty good too. Another thumbs up for not having to drive all the way to Westminster to get decent phở. To sum it up, if you’re in the area and craving for phở or just want a non-typical quick lunch, then this is a great place. A lot of the negative reviews on here are from people who didn’t even order phở. It IS a phở restaurant after all, so I mean if you order a non-specialty dish and don’t like it, you’re kind of at fault. If it’s your first time and you order the Phở Ga or their other noodle soups, you should be good.

Eh, there’s nothing special about this place. My family and I wanted to grab food before heading back to Sac and my folks usually like phở, so we went here. It’s kinda surrounded by empty lots, so you would also think that the place is empty. The interior looks cleaner than its exterior, which is surprising. I had ordered #33, BBQ pork vermicelli with egg rolls. It’s served in a normal sized bowl. It was a good size for me. When taking the first bite, I smelled something weird. I smelled the noodles and that was the source. It smelled… I’m not even too sure. It just threw off the whole meal. The pork was plain. I didn’t taste any seasoning or just the simple salt and pepper. Bland. The vermicelli sauce was, surprisingly, bland too. I’m not too sure how that can be messed up. The egg rolls, not up to my standards. It wasn’t crispy enough nor flavorful enough. I guess it was on the stale side. Also, if you order #35 it’s like cold chicken. It’s not grilled, as my mom thought it would be. It looked bland as well, and she said it was bland. The waiters were super sweet though. So friendly! I just wish their food were as good as their service.

Definitely our favorite phở spot. We decided to give it a try after reading not so good reviews and we loved it!

Food was ok. Ordered the dry chicken phở(#10 with dark meat) & didn’t think it was anything too special. The side of chicken broth that it came with was pretty good so I might just try their regular chicken phở if I ever come back here again. It was eerily dead on Wednesday night at 8pm. so that might have made the dining experience less enjoyable.

I like this place a lot. Our previous place was about 3 minutes away from this place and it was a blessing since we didn’t have to travel too far for good, cheap Vietnamese food. For service the main waiter guy is very friendly. I always asked for a special combo of glass-noddle chicken soup. It’s the whole shebang(guts, wings, thighs, young eggs, breast, etc.), with extra sliced cabbage then just the regular bean sprouts. He got that right every time. All conversations with him were very friendly and this place is one of the rare Vietnamese places that I got water refill. Plus they take credit cards for orders less than $ 10. Good, hearty chicken soup with good, friendly service and good, cheap price. 5-star in my book. The only small complain is that they don’t turn on AC that much so I usually get sweaty while finishing up my food. I asked the guy and he showed me a table that close to the cashier and the entrance and that spot got the best wind flow. FYI, plenty of parking in the back, there are trees with decent shades. You can even drop off your car at the next door car wash and come here for food and walk back when you’re finished eating. Now that we’ve moved to a different place, it’ll be harder to have good chicken noodle but I’m sure it’s worth the drive.

We went here despite the so-so reviews, it was Sunday, they were open & nearby, what the heck. The food wasn’t terrible, but it wasn’t great either. The pork with vermicelli was good, however, lots of fat on the pork, not exactly a lean cut of meat. The Phở looked like a generous serving, however, there was an abundance of noodles in broth, just a tiny bit of flank and it was fatty meat. 1 small piece of tendon which was not enough for a Combination Phở. Egg rolls were tasty – freshly fried. You get an order of 4. The foods taste wasn’t bad, just never got water refills, and the cuts of meat aren’t the best. If I have a choice, will go to another place.

Tried Phở here twice and always wondered why the soup was boiling HOT?! Come to find out they microwave their Phở’s. Until they change their food standards, I will avoid this place.

I think I could make better phở if I tried. Decent at best phở — along with terrible service. Wouldn’t recommend.

After having come to this restaurant every Thursday with my coworkers, I felt it was about time to write a review. The main person running the restaurant has already memorized the usual dishes a couple of my colleagues order. I knew about this place from their original, Westminster location, but never decided to try this one out until one of my coworkers took us there. The restaurant is located in a lot with plenty of parking space available. From the outside, the place is very unassuming. On the inside, the place is spacious with seats that can accommodate roughly 60 guests. I had never seen the restaurant completely fill up during lunch on Thursdays — not even half-way. There is a TV playing near the cash counter. My coworkers always order the same Beef Phở, and to me, it is not that special, but they love it. They also order egg rolls with their meal — they come in a quantity of 4 with 4 medium leaves of lettuce. They are quite good! As for me, I have tried: — #12 Dry Chicken Phở — #2 Chicken Phở — Chicken porridge(«rice soup») with vegetables — Grilled chicken with rice … and many other dishes I don’t remember the name of. Phở Dakao — both locations — are known for their Chicken Phở(«Phở Ga»). Indeed, their chicken phở is excellent. It comes with wider rice noodles, and juicy chicken. Not many restaurants can make chicken phở right, but Phở Dakao and my favorite, Phở Nguyen Hue, consistently do well. Other places’ chicken tend to be mushy or dry. The«wet» chicken phở also comes with a sweet, ginger fish sauce that the chicken can be dipped with. You may ask what Dry Chicken Phở is(#12)? For a long time, I ONLY ate that at the restaurant. It comes with grilled chicken, a sweet, soy sauce-like sauce, a bowl of chicken soup, some leaves of lettuce, and thin, wet noodles. The«dry» does not refer to the noodles being dry — it refers to the dish being served without soup(besides the small, separate bowl). It is deliciously flavorful, and when pouring the darker, soy sauce-like sauce over the dish, is almost like heaven. One may also dip the noodles into the chicken soup for some extra, added flavor. Eventually, several of my coworkers started enjoying this dish too, one of whom, in particular, has reactions towards MSG and salt. The Dry Chicken Phở removes much of the MSG and salt problem for him. The chicken porridge with vegetables is also good and quite filling. I like dumping some of the vegetables into the porridge for some variety in my bites. The Grilled chicken with rice, as expected, has juicy chicken. It, too, is good. I tend to get either #2 Chicken Phở or #12 Dry Chicken Phở during my weekly visits. Service is generally fast and friendly, water is always refilled, and food quality is generally consistent. The person taking our orders speaks English, alleviating the language challenge I usually run into at their Westminster location. Further, unlike the other location, this one takes credit cards. For good chicken phở, I recommend Phở Dakao(at either location, though the Westminster one is usually packed) and Phở Nguyen Hue.

Meh… This place has pretty good phở broth but the service is really bad. We came at 6:30pm on Saturday and it was pretty much empty. Never a good sign. We had to wave the waiter over to take our order. Luckily the food didn’t take too long. However, they got a few of our orders wrong. The worst was when we were ready to pay. Our table and another table were waving at the waiters who were just sitting around playing cards until we had to YELL across the restaurant to get their attention. Not good. I got #18 which was rare steak phở(kind of boring but they didn’t have very interesting combos). There were two sizes: the small size was a good size for me and the large was a good size for the boys I went with. Just a note — the«x-large» combo isn’t bigger than the large size — it just has more meat.

It’s a pretty good phở place. I’m Vietnamese, but I don’t like going out to eat Vietnamese food unless it’s something really special that my family would be too lazy to make ourselves at home. I’ve had 4 different Vietnamese restaurants 4 meals in a row! And this was one of the restaurants. Trust me, I was so tired of Vietnamese food and all the MSGs! But this restaurant made it bearable for me. They’re open at 9am and have lunch food ready too! I think it’s pretty awesome because we woke up at 8am super starving.

Phở Ga + Liver+ Egg= mmmmmmmmmm I am still confused as to whether this place is related to the location near Bolsa. The broth tasted different from what I remember and the chicken(all dark meat) did not seem as flavorful or tender. The rice noodle was the thicker one(which I prefer). The broth was lacking depth. It was ok. Soda Chanh-3 Stars ~Large and In Charge. Perhaps the largest soda chanh I have ever had. It was not too flavorful and had a ton of sugar. Yes it usually has half a ton of sugar but this version had a full ton. Overall.not bad. Not the best I have had but AOK. My favorite is still Phở Nguyen Hue on 1st(Bolsa). Phở Dakao.Anaheim.Another reason the OC is the best place to live!
