Along with seeing characters, there are many Star War memorabilia to visit and snap pictures. Some items are actual movie props and costumes.
Second floor: Marvel!
From Iron Man suits, to meeting Captain America, there are things to see, explore and interact when visiting the Marvel’s exhibition.
Definitely a great place to cool off when outside beams of California sun.
Would definitely recommend if you are a Star Wars and/​or Marvel fan.

I purposely did the Vulcan «live long and prosper» sign, and the photographer disgustedly said,“that’s the wrong movie.” She then cropped my hand out of the picture. Thanks lady.

Wow this place is just so cool. Even though I’ve never seen Star Wars… Shhhhh… My boyfriend had the bestest time here. We have been coming to Disneyland for a while and this day, he had the most fun. (Because he is a super geek… yes.) They had numerous cool displays from the movies, sells merchandise, and meet and greet. BTW, Darth Vader was very intimidating… But it was nice it was only 20min wait.

My fiancé bought a luke skywalker lamp from the store. Pricey but pretty cool. It doesn’t come with a blue light bulb though.

This exhibit is located in the Carousel of Progress building and shares the space with a Marvel presentation as well. Inside, you will find a bunch of models, props, and costumes from the movies as well as a few photo opportunities. The photo opp spaces feature a rotating roster of Star Wars characters including Chewbacca, Darth Vader, and Boba Fett. Of course, there is also a gift shop although it features a more upscale line of products including original art work, custom made cell phone cases (only the most current and popular models), and autographed items. Definitely worth checking out and this was actually a good way to get indoors and out of the madness that is currently Tomorrowland thanks to the Season of the Force promotion that has turned everything in to a Star Wars themed slice of heaven for all the fans.

Do you remember the old Innoventions Building in Tomorrowland? Well it has received the most amazing makeover with a whole new theme, Star Wars!!! Gone are the days in which you sauntered through Peter Pan’s bedroom, discovered homes of the future, and walked away with a confused look on your face. This time around, the theme is solid and well-​done!
By now, many people have already watched «Star Wars: The Force Awakens» and it has received phenomenal reviews! For those who can’t get enough of this franchise, this is the place for you!
On most days there really isn’t much of a wait to get inside of Launch Bay. However, if you plan to visit Darth Vader or Chewbacca, expect to spend 30 minutes to an hour in line. What makes this meet and greet so epic is that Vader talks! Of course, it’s all preprogrammed but it’s good enough for me. You can even hear him breathing real heavy behind that mask as he circles around you then points to a spot and says, «Stand here!» It’s pretty amazing! Now as for your experience with my favorite Wookiee, Chewbacca this interaction is different. First of all he’s HUGE, well over 6’5″ tall! He’ll come up and embrace you and you’ll seem to disappear into his arms when cast members snap your photo. He’ll even demonstrate his Wookiee call that you really can’t spell but it kind of goes like this… Waaarrrrllllllll!!!
Oh but wait, don’t forget to visit the cantina as Boba Fett makes his appearances throughout the day. Unlike the other characters, he doesn’t have a set schedule so it’s pretty random when you see him.
Once you’ve had your fill of Star Wars heroes and villains, you should visit the exhibits. There are several storm trooper masks that are displayed inside of shatterproof glass cases. Various costumes are also for sale! The storm trooper costume is $ 9,000 but I don’t know if you’ll get your annual Passholder discount! The Boba Fett life size figure is $ 3,050 so like most souvenirs at Disney, they’re pretty expensive.
Oh but wait, there are light sabers available because every Star Wars fan needs their own saber!!! They light up with blue and red hues! Absolutely gorgeous! They also have an umbrella in which the handle glows a bright blue hue like a light saber. Many unique gifts are available and they seem to be of good quality (for a toy).
Given the popularity of the entire Star Wars franchise, people will find this experience to be… as Darth Vader put it, «Impressive!!!» I recommend entering this location as soon as it opens to avoid long wait times to meet the characters. Bring your camera and prepare for an experience that will brighten up your day! Like I said before, this is pretty epic!!!

You get to hug Chewbacca! I cannot express what an awesome experience this is for a Star Wars fan. It’s not Peter Mayhew, but he’s super tall and sounds like Chewbacca. Seriously. I was instantly 3 years old again. I went the Saturday after Star Wars VII came out, and it was especially special after seeing the continuing saga of my favorite freedom fighters. Line was about 25 minutes around 3:30 and totally worth it. Staff are as friendly as can be. I cannot recommend this experience enough: it MADE my day!

What’s tall, furry, warm and cuddly? Yup… Chewie! You get a meet in greet here with both Chewie and Vader. Choose your side wisely because the lines can get long. If you do have time, meeting both is worth it. Chewie starts your day off right with heart warming and very personable hugs. I could not care less what people say… everyone loves a hug!
Disney has not even started Star Wars Land yet but their immediate remedy, this place. is done well.
You can experience both Avengers and Star Wars props, meet and greets, and a ton of photo ops here. The staff plays the part also.
The meet and greet here is not hurried and does have a personal touch. Kudos to the cast members here for having to put up with crowds day in and out but still being pleasant and making this a memorable experience!
I am adding this to my top ten list for Disneyland!
Disney, Star Wars and hugs in Anaheim… another reason why the OC is the best place to live!

This is a great place to come look at a lot of the Star Wars memorabilia. They have a lot of the costumes from the movie on sale also some statues. There are also many different souvenirs and collectible items available for purchase. They have models of some of the characters and vehicles with descriptions that have information that you wouldn’t normally find out about like their top speeds and how they compare to other aircraft and vehicles as far as power and specs.
There is a section thats geared toward younger children. It has a table with screens on both sides that allows you to play Star Wars Angry Birds and the walls are lined with screens and Xbox consoles so that they can play Infinity with the Star Wars characters.
There is an area where you can wait in line to take pictures with either Darth Vader or Chewbacca.
There is a small area where they show a short video about where the Star Wars universe has been, where they have brought it to no, and where they hope to go with it in the future. It’s really interesting to see how the people who put it together love it so much and want it to be amazing for everyone.
They also have an area where you can custom design your own phone case with a Star Wars image with or without your name. They have to cases filled with pre made phone cases to show you what they look like up close and what the finished product will look like so you can make the best selection when designing your own. The table has screens on both sides so that multiple people can design covers at the same time. When you’re finished designing you hit the submit button and your phone cover prints out across the room and a cast member assembles it for you. The lowest price is $ 44. They have a lot of images to choose from, but they don’t have the option for many other phones that are not Iphones. The only other phone option I saw on there was the Samsung S5 or 6, which leaves a lot of people out.
The only thing I don’t really like about this place is that there aren’t many things that are interactive for adults besides waiting in a long line to take a character picture or play an Xbox game geared toward kids or an phone app that most people already have or have played from the comfort of their own home without having to buy an expensive Disneyland ticket beforehand. If you’re not coming in here to buy anything then there’s nothing really to keep you here longer than it takes to walk in, do a lap around, and walk out.

Think Star Wars mini museum and you’ve got Star Wars Launch Bay.
This is probably the 4^th remodeling of this Disney attraction building. While I don’t remember the very first attraction in this building, I do remember sitting in a mini rotating theatre when it was America Sings. They shut that down and left it closed for years. It was then revamped into Innoventions. That was cool during hot summer days because the AC was on full blast.
The first time I stepped into Star Wars Launch Bay my happy little Star Wars loving heart leaped for joy. Step in and you’re greeted with a message on the floor a la Star Wars movie intro style. To the right there’s several display cases with costumes and small models. There’s also a short film showing with several benches. Keep going right and there’s an awesome Mos Eisley model where you can pose and take pictures. There are two meet greet rooms, one for Darth Vader and the other for Chewbacca. Boba Fett makes unannounced appearances as well, you just have to be there at the right time.
There’s a gift shop with several high end items available for purchase. You can purchase Darth Vaders costume for a mere $ 4000. If that’s out of your budget there’s always the Han Solo costume for $ 750. Kylie Rens saber and other sabers are available, as well as Star Wars themed art work.
If you have the time and you’re a Star Wars fan I highly recommend visiting this attraction.

A must see for any star wars fan!
Suggestions: go on a weekday and stand in line and wait for it to open which I think is 10am…(grab a bb8 souvenir cup at the kiosk next to the entrance!) When doors open stand in line to meet and greet with Darth Vader or Chewbacca because that line goes to 60 minute wait almost instantly!
Warning: the souvenirs in this place are awesome and u r going to want to buy buy buy!!!

Didn’t even know about this one till my last visit. This a def a place for Star Wars fans old and new you’ll get to see some of the characters outfits, gear and other Star Wars memorabilia. You can meet and take pics with the likes of Darth Vadar, Chewbacca and Boba Fett. Not sure how long that will be there for so it’s a must see for the Star Wars fan.

This is a mini museum of Star Wars. I saw the Star Wars exhibit which came to San Jose Tech Museum a couple years ago, so I’m comparing that to the Star Wars Launch Bay. Fans of Star Wars will enjoy this exhibit. There is also a Darth Vader and Chewbacca character meet. The line to meet and take photos with them were not that long at the time we went in the evening. Supposedly there is also a Boba Fett meet but we did not see that.
Upstairs is Super hero HQ and is a Marvel centric exhibit dedicated to Iron Man and Thor. There are some Marvel character meets but we got there too late. They close at 6 pm, whereas the Star Wars meet closes at 7 pm.

They have a floor above for the Marvel Heroes but we were fantasied out after Star Wars!

The wait is over! Well, the wait for Star Wars Launch Bay to open is over. The wait to get in and to do stuff inside isn’t over. The wait to do anything at Disneyland will outlast the expansion of the universe.
Inside the building that used to house the futuristic exhibit Innoventions now co-​exists 2 universes that are distinct yet both galactically grand. On the 1^st floor, Star Wars; on the 2^nd, Super Hero HQ.
Getting into the building itself is just a matter of following a winding line. The real lines are the meet & greets– Darth Vader and Chewbacca for Star Wars; Thor and Spiderman for Marvel. They were about 30 to 60 minutes wait when I went, with Thor being the least popular.
I can see why Thor was unpopular. He was quite arrogant and armed in protest when I tried to grab his hammer. Meanwhile, the other workers kept telling me to stand still for a picture or something. Honestly though, they were good sports for not throwing me out.
Other than meets & greets or «meet & terrorize a character actor,» costumes, models, and props were on display. Ironman suits, B-​wing Starfighters, Asgardian Weaponry– Odin be praised!
This «free» museum is neat but comes at the cost of Disneyland admission. It also comes at the cost of spending more money. Inside the building are two shops full of themed merchandise. They also offer D-​Tech on Demand, made-​to-​order customized phone cases.
With the 7^th movie installment Star Wars: The Force Awakens opening next month, Star Wars Launch Bay is a clever way to create buzz that will reverberate all through the galaxy. The force has indeed awakened, and it is met with an equally powerful wave of fandom.

Where else can you buy the actual Darth Vader costume?! It’ll set you back $ 4000 though!
The new Star Wars Launch Bay is what used to be the Innovations building. It is now dedicated to Star Wars AND Marvel. All things Star Wars is on the first level and all things Marvel is on the second floor. I think now it will draw a much larger audience than the Innovations used to as that was mostly catered to children.
Come here to learn more about Star Wars and see props and models of the costumes, vehicles used in the movie. You can also meet Darth Vader and Chewbacca! The wait to meet them is significantly longer than just going into the building. I’m guessing it’s more than just simply meeting the characters but some sort of mini experience as there is a wait. Earlier today, it was a 2 hour wait, so I checked out some other stuff instead and when I came back it went down to 45 minutes. Also, you can’t see the characters from outside, they are out of view in a room, so that is why I believe it’s some sort of experience rather then just a photo op. I will find out this weekend when I come back and do it all with my boyfriend. I was checking all this out solo today so I just wanted to walk around and see what there was. I love the vibe, colors, and lights. In the gift shop is many unique items you can buy from clothes to light sabers to actual costumes. A real Darth Vader costume will set you back $ 4000, or you can get a Han Solo costume for a fraction of the cost at just $ 750. You can also purchase a life size Yoda for $ 3000, or light saber umbrella and lamp. One the wall near the registers, they have signed pictures of the stars of the movie.
Upstairs is the Marvel headquarters and therefore a homage to the Avengers. They have Tony Stark and Thor. At Stark industries, all the Iron Man costumes are on display. They are the same ones displayed at Comic Con but without the crowds! Each area has a character experience too. There was one for Iron Man, Thor, and Spiderman when I was there. Again, I think it’s some sort of mini experience as you can’t see the characters from outside and are in some room, after waiting in line of course. There’s also a Marvel giftshop upstairs for all your Marvel needs.
You could spend pretty much an entire day here if you want to do all the character experiences. I was at the park from 10:30am until about 4pm with 2 breaks in between to sit down and eat and all I did today was the Star Wars stuff. Next time, I would like to check out all the character experiences. No fast passes for these though, you must wait in line, so plan accordingly!
This is for sure a must-​see for any Star Wars or Marvel fan or even if you are not, it’s still very interesting and cool to see!
