My boyfriend and I go here all the time! We love tacos and will only eat the best and most authentic. This is the place right here! Carne asada, pollo, and chorizo are so good. The staff has always been friendly to us. You can tell it’s a family shop where the different members of the family support the business. It’s a great place and you’ll love it.

Visited this place on a whim and was surprised at the authentic Mexican food. When was the last time you visited a taqueria offering huaraches and pambazos? I always order a torta to test a taqueria’s medal and they didn’t disappoint; carnitas were tasty and the roll they used was excellent. I’ve dealt with the owner and cook and both are pleasant but business-like. I’ve been here at least a half dozen times since and will continue to be part of my regular cycle of local eateries. Sometimes you have to take Unilocal ratings with a grain of salt…

This place is a small hole in the wall on Anaheim. I had the chicken tacos and the carnitas tacos. They were decent and certainly edible enough. The salsa was ok, It was presented in a big tray. The restaurant is a typical family owned establishment which appears to be operated by a mother and her daughter, and is overseen by Jesus. Jesus’ picture is on the wall, along with lots of Catholic church posters and other memorabilia. The TV’s are playing Mexican TV stations.

Custom service is rude. Place is overpriced for a small quantity for poor quality. The health department definitely needs to come and check this place out. And a $ 1 charge for debit/credit transactions!

I came in and there was a little girl behind the counter and around the cooking equipment and the hot oven with hot oils burning… unsafe. I ordered 4 Asada Tacos to go. I didn’t realize until I got home that the meat was dry. It had tasted like the meat was old an reheated. After it got cold, it then tasted like rubber. I’m not going here again.

Overpriced and gross is the best description. Don’t live too far so thought I’d try their taxis asada. After a bad experience I thought maybe caught them on a bad day. Tried again, this time dine in. The lady was a little rude and the flys wouldn’t stay off the salsa cup. It was like the tacos u used to get in TJ but this time I wasn’t too drunk to not care. Now I drive down to the Guadalajara taco place further from home just to get a decent taco. I really am surprised the health department hasn’t closed this place. Hopefully they get new ownership and quality food and service.

One user claimed it reminded him of the TJ taco shops. I partially agree with him. The restaurant was filthy! I ordered 4 tacos. Two carnitas and two tongue tacos. The carnitas were edible but bland. The tongue was absolutely disgusting. I can pretty much eat anything but this food was clearly spoiled. I should have walked away before I ordered when I went to the bathroom and saw food that was supposed to be refrigerated sitting by the garbage. The kitchen was an absolute pigsty. Why OC would give them a passing grade is beyond me. I do have one good thing to say. The owner did give me my money back for the spoiled taco. I will not go back here. Next time I want to go to a shop that reminds me of TJ, I’ll go across the border. At least their food tastes better.

I thought I got a great deal on I really don’t remember how much I paid for $ 10 voucher with minimum purchase of $ 15. I took a chance and I decided to visit this place. I found out that I should have Unilocal’d before I bought this voucher. I showed this voucher to the lady at the restaurant which I think she is a cashier. she went to ask the owner and she said that minimum purchase is $ 25. I didn’t wanna argue with her because it said what it said and we(me and my friends) were going to order more than $ 25 anyway. So, we got 3 orders, 2 drinks. Food tasted OK. not really bad not really good. Restaurant looks old and not clean but I guess it’s Mexican style? to make it feel like you’re really in Mexico??? the hot sauce were placed outside in tray with an ice cooler at the bottom. I was really not impress with the restaurant and everything. This is my first time and it is my last.

The Birria taco was great The chile relleno was stemless and delicious The cleanliness was an issue. The guy working there lacked a little bedside manner, but he was trying. I probably won’t be back.

The torta de milanesa was amazing! The bread was toasted perfectly. It had just enough melted cheese and the milanesa wad crispy and tender not chewy and tough like other places. I added some of their avocado salsa and it was perfect. Ive only tried the torta but honestly it’s probably the best I’ve ever had!!!

Spied this place while taking my truck to be serviced across the street a while back and said I give it a try sometime. Real close to home. I already had a huge lunch but was surprised by the calling of the belly. Feed me, Feed me. So I thought a few tacos would be nice and thought I’d try someplace new(to me). Taqueria Don Leonardo kind of reminded me of a few of the taco shops in T.J. I used to like going to. TDL with it’s décor overloaded in pictures of Jesus and Mary, crosses, biblical pics and scriptures filling all the walls except the one with the TV tuned permanently to a soccer game. It made me feel like I was in another country. But they had exactly what I needed 4 tacos and a drink for $ 5. OK that’s perfect make it to go. Food: 2 asada tacos. W/cilantro and onions. A little dry but added the green salsa they threw in the bag and they weren’t half bad. The tomatillo salsa had a nice slow kick and I couldn’t help drowning those 2 poor tacos in it. Taco ***2 star + salsa 4****star =3***star 2 pollo tacos nice tender pollo simmered in a nice black pepper red sauce 3***star 1 tiny coke, I didn’t use tapatillo because the green salsa did the job. The dude running the place was nice and but shop kind of had a not so clean vibe. I may go back to try the pambazo de papa con chorizo(love those) or some of the pretty extensive menus other antojitos. 2.75 stars***overall.

on 10÷02÷11 my friends an i were watching the football game and decided to walk to the corner for some food. my friend ordered a chicken torta and got food poisoning later that night. The place is pretty grimey looking. the menu is old and greasy. next time we will go to pacos tacos, it is 2 spaces down and is a lot cleaner.

Moved down the street, so had to try the local spots. Clean, fast, friendly. Been twice and I’m satisfied with their authenticity and value. Good salsa and horchata too.

Got a chicken burrito. The tortilla was warm, but not lightly browned as I like them. Came with rice, beans, lettuce, tomato. I paid for guacamole but there was none in the burrito. The beans were a bit too wet for refried. It was a good size. Cost $ 5.71 + $ 1.58 when I realized they had agua fresca sandía today. I may go back for more agua fresca and to try the tacos, but I can get a better burrito elsewhere…
