Crew professional showed up at my home at a timely manner, they were very clean, the job was as promised, and there was a follow up to make sure we were happy. Sam is amazing, I would definitely recommend him for any type of home remodeling !

Very rude would not even come out to quote price on what I needed, quoted me a price over the phone and basically had the attitude of take it or leave it.

I recently purchased a home which needed major remodeling in the Irvine area. I contacted Cabinet Experts to get some estimates. Sam was friendly and creative with the design. I chose Cabinet Experts and I would highly recommend you do the same!

Just bought a home in Irvine and hated my wood kitchen and bathroom cabinets! They redid everything and it looks so amazing!!! Extremely affordable and can’t imagine anyone else doing a better job. Sam was super responsive and kept me in the loop with everything. Really happy with results and would recommend them to anyone who needs their cabinets redone. Saved me lots of money not having to get new cabinets and what they did makes everything look brand new.

After they finished the kitchen I was so surprised with finishing that they did to my kitchen and I decided to remodel my bathroom too with them.

I decided to remodel my kitchen so I started getting quotes. I soon found that most people are offering pre made cabinets with little choices or changes that I wanted. I found Cabinet experts on the web. When Sam came to my house he
listened to what I wanted and he quickly gave me a price that was actually higher than other bids I have. but Sam said he would build me what ever I wanted for 1 price. I felt that was worth the increase in cost, after all a few more grand and I get exactly what I want!
I gave him a deposit and he sent a designer to my house. we spent some time going over what I wanted and a couple of days later I had the plans. at this point I could and did make changes. after I approved the plans I went to visit Sam at his shop and we went over the plans again. Two weeks later they started my kitchen. 5 days later it was ready for counter tops. I only waited 4 working days for the granite to get fabricated and installed. all went very smooth and stress free.
I do and have recommended Cabinet experts to my frinends.

Competitive pricing. Sam, the owner, comes and talks with you personally and checks on the progress of the project himself through every step. Construction/​Demo started on ⁹⁄₂₂ and the project was completed on ¹⁰⁄₁₀. This was the expected timeline for the project so everything went fast. We had them redo our countertops with granite, and for almost all the cabinets we an entirely new framework. We chose cherry wood and the contractors created the stain for 100% our liking. Additionally, if we had any comments or corrections to make, the contractors listened to our opinions and made sure we approved all their work. Near the end of our job, we decided to change the ceiling and flooring as well. We have nice lighting, and a travertine marble floor to go along with our new kitchen. Very very happy!

Had them build us a custom fish tank /​entertainment center. Could not be any happier with their quality. Very professional and came to install when they say they would. Worked with me on the designs and the results were awesome. Price is very reasonable. Gotten a few quotes from other places and these guys had the best prices. Would recommend to family and friends. Good job guys. Keep it up!!!

Got my kitchen redone and was more than happy with the outcome. Sam the owner was a very helpful and knowledgable individual who is great to work with. I am more than impressed with the results and would definitely recommend them to anyone who is doing any kitchen or bathroom work.

This company is a MAJOR joke! I would never hire these animals ever again. First off the owner of the company is a moron and desperate to steal your money. Not only has he filed for bankruptcy and losing his home to foreclosure, but he and his family will do anything to get your business. A real desperate measure. Low class, no work ethics, never on time, unorganized and incompetent. Don’t be fooled into their sales pitch or pricing. They will make sure they overcharge you by the time they are done w/​your renovation. DO NOT MAKE THE SAME MISTAKE WE DID!!!

Two years ago, I had Cabinet Experts and Design remodel/​update my main bath. I have been saving to remodel my kitchen and so Unilocaled Cabinet Experts, who had done the bathroom.
I read the two reviews posted, and would like to add my own experience:
When we planned this, I had complete specifications, including exact placement of sinks, faucets, bathtub, type of replacement sewage lines, water supply lines, electrical access, updated/​expanded exhaust, as well as concreted floor since I have a home on a foundation. I recall Sam being making a comment about how ‘thorough’ I was in the specifications I had him write into the estimate and later, the contract.
We had a single supervisor, Hugo, who came over every several days, to guide the work of Carlos and his partner. These two were the only ones who did work on the bathroom.
I can say that in our case, they were very flexible. They had selected some canister lights that I thought were too large, given the size of the room. They removed them and replaced them with a smaller size, pausing each time to allow us to comment. This happened a few other times, but when we insisted, based on the original design specifications, they made it right.
In another instance, we were to pick out the tile and the crew would install them. We had gone to tile alley in Fullerton and had selected a pattern that would take several weeks to arrive, from China, we discovered. Since they didn’t want to wait, they asked us to find another tile. We eventually went to Daltile, picked out a travertine, and though it cost more, they paid for the tile and had it beautifully installed, again consulting with us to see which pattern effect would be best.
Our cabinets were custom designed and built; the granite cabinet countertops nicely beveled. Even though we had paid for oak, perhaps they had a good supply, but we were upgraded to cherry with clear grain, no extra cost.
I am not sure what is going on with the company now, but see that the first review was Dec 2010, about in the same time period as mine. The latest is this month.
If and when I get estimates on the kitchen, I will do as before… complete list of every detail including specific brand name of the materials, complete size/​layout/​requirements, location and rating of outlets, just like the bath. This regardless of who does the estimate.
Yes, there were a few glitches, but for just about every one, they corrected them.
If and when we are able to do the kitchen will ask some very tough questions and have written proof that they will do what we pay for.

I would never recommend this company to anyone. Sam Tyby, the owner will tell you anything you want to hear to your face and then make good on none of it. We hired them to do a major remodel of our home including a new kitchen and room addition. They underbid the job in a rush to secure the bid and then talk their way out of work they promised to do. He says he has his own crews that do all of the work and that all work is constantly supervised. It turns out that he merely has particular subs that he hires and has no idea who is actually working for them or what other projects they are working on. Many days, there were different people in my home who Sam had never even met. Communication is terrible. Sam is never there while work is actually going on. He flits in every few days to take pictures to use in his brochure without asking you and when you point out mistakes (which you have to catch 100% on your own since there is zero supervision of workers) he pretends to be angry with them but nothing changes.
WE had to point out to them that some laborers who they brought in to do our windows were not using any caulking between the house and the retro-​fit windows. Had we not caught this, the windows would all be leaking now. We had to point out the cracked tiles they used on the floor and the giant crack in the brand new granite counter-​top they installed. They would have just left it as is if it were left up to them. I had to be there every single day to watch over them and catch whatever I could or they would have hidden all sorts of mistakes. They have had to repeatedly address issues on the stairs they re-​did for us because they never did any of it right the first time and now they are trying to mickey-​mouse it so it is good enough for them, including telling me it is our fault that the end of two stairs are broken because we shouldn’t be stepping on them. They are the fronts of the stairs for crying out loud. What good are they if I am not able to step on them without them cracking due to shoddy craftsmanship.
Despite constant mistakes and necessary corrections and not having even completed the job, Sam tried to extort over $ 14,000 additional dollars from us for additional costs that were either covered in the original contract or charges for «additional work» that we never initiated a change order for, were never quoted costs on and never even asked him to do. He makes decisions about certain things on his own and then tries to pass his costs on to you without any notice or negotiation.
Currently I have an entire downstairs with degraded floor grout because he used an inferior product but which he blames on our choice of floor cleaning products (a simple Shark steam mop). We have faded stain on cabinets that they constructed and broken stairs. A floor tile is not level and causes people to trip, and caulking need to be re-​done in multiple areas. He refuses to admit to their mistakes and refuses to address most of the issues, insisting that it is our fault even though he knows his crews never did the work right in the first place.
Their story changed every day throughout the construction as to what order they needed to do particular jobs in, which was a result of poor planning between Sam and his subs. Many days, nothing got accomplished because of this. When he does not feel like talking to you, he refuses to answer emails and calls. He currently will not talk to me in person or even by phone despite repeated offers to do so. Do yourself a favor and take your $$$ elsewhere.

I have been looking to reface my kitchen and redo our master bath for a while and have been putting it off for even longer due to the state of the economy and all. I finally decided to get several bids and the one that stood out to me for financial and quality reasons was Cabinet Experts. I got exactly what i wanted and envisioned. All remodels that i have had always where very annoying and not to say this one was not since my kitchen and bath was useless during the process. I have to say though all in all my experience was amazing from workmanship to customer service! And this i why i will refer them on here and to family, friends, and neighbors :)

We had our kitchen and bathrooms remodeled by this company and they were great! Very professional, patient, and always returned calls and emails promptly. The prices are very reasonable for the quality you get.
They were amazing and nice during intsallation and they made sure we were happy with everything that they were doing.
I would definitely recommend this company for remodeling!

Wouldn’t rehire these «carpenters» to build me a dog house. Paid advertisement on Unilocal says they are desperate. Please, please heed our warnings about them.
Specifically:
–far outreached their ability to complete a proper renovation
–unorganized
–never followed our requests about any specifics
–require constant supervision
We have already gone through the headaches, don’t make the same mistake we did.
