Good food, great service by Avelino! Sat outside and watched the fireworks when taking a break from Disney. Table side guac is great.

I was craving Mexican food, while me and my husband were vacationing in Disneyland! We saw the reviews on Tortilla Jo’s and decided to make reservations! The restaurant was PACKED! Good sign! We were seated and given chips and salsa… chips hot out of the oven, and I loved that they were flour chips, not corn! Salsa was great, just the right amount of spice, but not overbearing. I asked our waitress«is the $ 13 tableside guacamole worth it»…What a doll, she said«No, I will make you my special guacamole at no charge, I will make it in the back for you» BESTGUACEVER! OMG… SALIVATINGNOWTHINKINGABOUTIT! Both me and my husband had enchilada’s. I had 1 beef, 1 chicken, my husband had chicken. Chicken was seasoned just right… tons of yummy red sauce with melted cheese, sour cream and more guac! We cleaned our plates… if it wasn’t such a fauxpau, I would have licked the plate clean! Wish there was Tortilla Jo’s in WA… they would put Azteca, Ricardo’s & Las Margarita’s out of business! 5 stars for a waitress Marta… LOVEHER! As we were leaving, we told the manger, she was one of the best waitresses we have ever had & she needed a raise!

This place is great. We dinned in this evening and I would like to mention that our server Rudy was superb. He was a total joy from the very start. So friendly and accommodating. I’m big on spice and asked him if it would be possible to have chili powder added to my margaritas. They didn’t offer this on their drink menu but he still made things happen! I ordered their margarita flight and it was everything that I wanted. The most memorable and best part of our visit was definitely Rudy’s excellent customer service. We will definitely be back. Mil gracias Rudy! –Araceli

The service was ok. All my friends rave about their micheladas and huaraches… UNFORTUNATELY I must have gotten a bad michelada because it tasted more like a Bloody Mary than a authentic michelada…&&&&&&&&&& I was told the huarraches are no longer on the menu !!!

My Girlfriend and I had dinner here, as a make-up Birthday dinner for myself. We took the monorail from Tomorrow-land over to Downtown Disney. In short, the food was great, price was competitive, and the waitress was very friendly. This is a definite must stop and eat! My best recommendations: * Get the table side made Guacamole * Have an early dinner and beat the crowds * Definitely have the Margarita!

Service is below average. Drinks are decent. Dessert was bad. We came in around 9p on a Tuesday night after Memorial weekend. The patio was closed, so we couldn’t watch the fireworks. The host was nice. We got seated promptly, but waited a while for someone to acknowledge us, bring our waters, and take our order. We had already eaten, so we just wanted a dessert. I had been craving a churro. The line for the churros inside Tomorrowland was crazy, so we walked into Downtown Disney. The California Churro Carts have strange flavors, so we opted to go to Jo’s for, we were hoping, higher quality and more traditional churros. Note: There is a separate dessert menu. I got a jalapeño margarita(off-menu) and requested it less sweet. It was good. The salt rim was partially dissolved, but the drink was still good.(I recommend the ones from Javier’s!) Coming back from a vacation in Spain, we really wanted a churro con chocolate(churros with chocolate dipping sauce). They didn’t have it. So, we ordered the most«plain» kind, which were still ones with dulce de leche in the middle. They were dense and too sweet. Yuck. I would never order these again. Plus, there are almost no photos of desserts by other Unilocalers, so that says something: don’t get the desserts. Due to the poor experience with both service and«food,» we would not come back here.

Really enjoyed the vibe and feeling of this place, small wait so put your name on the list and walk around to kill the time. Plenty to see especially since your in Downtown Disney. Once seated our waiter Devon was on point with our drinks, taking our order and being very attentive. Recommend to start with the table side guacamole made fresh and spicy to your liking. Try the chicken enchiladas or the flautas(which you can share). I would definitely come back and enjoy some lunch or dinner here.

The quality of the food is terrible. The portions are huge which is a big red flag. The staff is friendly and tries to make your visit pleasant. However, the food is just not of quality. We came during our first night staying at the Disneyland Hotel and of course were super excited to have dinner at Downtown Disney. We stumbled upon Tortilla Jo’s and decided to give it a try. The complimentary chips and salsa were OK. I ordered Gorditas and could only have a bite. They were simply tasteless and had no flavor at all. My bf ordered the fish tacos and again flavorless and the fish was not cooked all the way. It was quite a disappointment considering that this is one of the bigger restaurants in Downtown Disney.

You had me at «Tableside Guacamole.» Fetty Wap meant to rap, «I got a g[uac] in my ‘rari.» I mean, he probably would, if it were this guacamole. Best advice: get the guac. You’re welcome. For my main dish(other than the guac, let’s be real), I chose the Tacos de Pescado. With beer-battered mahi mahi, cabbage slaw, chile piquin powder, chipotle aioli, and corn tortillas, this dish does not disappoint! The mahi mahi was battered perfectly with a great batter to fish ratio. The flavors were great and I had to remember to talk to my friends in between bites of tacos and guac. Did I recommend the guacamole?

Returned again today after Disney. Waitress was good. Salsa & Chips: Chips were stale. Horchata is always on point. BF loved his taquitos and empanadas, I didn’t try any though. I ordered the chicken fajitas for $ 21. Disaster again! This is strike two in a row for me here. The meat was like four little pieces and chewy! I was shocked but didn’t complain because we were in a hurry. For $ 21 I could have bought many plates of GOOD food! Maybe even 21 tacos at a taco joint. I mean come on now, you get customers like crazy and located inside Downtown Disney but SKIMP on the quality and quantity of some of your dishes. Maybe I have been choosing the wrong plates but still all of your plates should be quality especially for some of the prices. I didn’t even finish my food because the chicken was cooked so much it was inedible. For a moment I though, wow am I eating really old chicken meat or something? Worst fajitas I have ever ever had in my whole life lol not lying. I recommend that nobody orders the chicken fajitas OR their terrible ceviche. Try something else, I’m just trying to spare you the wasted money.

I had higher expectations for a Downtown Disney Restaurant! The food is nothing special, just average Mexican food! The atmosphere has an old school Mexican vibe with the vintage architecture. Ordered Items: Steak Nachos, empanadas, and complimentary chips We first started with the complimentary chips and salsa. The salsa was okay, not too spicy. I then ordered the steak nachos. They were served in a large plate and were just okay. The steak wasn’t the greatest. The entire plate didn’t seem to appetizing. Empanadas were also ordered, but they were NOT Good at all! They had a weird taste. Fortunately the restaurant didn’t charge us for them. Overall, white washed Mexican food that is just okay. Nothing special. Try to avoid the empanadas.

Atmosphere: larger restaurant, booth, table and banquet seating available Ordered items: empanadas, sweet corn cake and deep fried ice cream Walt would be ashamed. First off this place is a joke, we walked in a part of four on a random very slow Wednesday. There were plenty of tables available and yet we will waited. We were sat and asked for drinks promptly but that was literally the only time we were technically helped. We were asked when the drinks arrived by our sever if we were ready we all started no and that’s the last we saw of her. I specially ordered some lemon with my water and got what looked like a already used lemon(gross)! So fiiiiinally after what seemed like forever our waitress came back, we all ordered and the waiting process began again, I asked for more lemons and got them back in a bunched up napkin looking all sketchy and what not. We asked for more chips and got some of those but majority were little pieces all broken. As we sat with all empty drinks our food finally arrived. I took one bite of my empanada and immediately knew it was going back. The inside was cold and did not taste like an empanada. The outer breading was very thick and hard. I was asked by our ghost of a waitress if I wanted something else, but I declined. I picked off of everyone else’s plates mostly nachos that again weren’t anything special. The corn cake tho was delicious! It’s the same corn coke at other Mexican spots that a bit sweet and thick but super yummy! I decided that I would give one lass try on something on the menu and ordered the deep fired ice cream. So that being a deciding factor, it was eh. It wasn’t flavorful like most deep fried ice cream and it had a TON of chips at the bottom of it, I found odd. To sum up my bitching, I probably won’t step another foot into that place.

Last night I went to Tortilla Jo’s for the third time. I enjoy Mexican food so very much: chips & salsa are my kryptonite. Tortilla Jo’s has great chips & salsa! They also have table side prepared guacamole, which I’ve heard is to die for. I can’t eat guac, but I recommend trying it for yourself. The service here has been consistently great for me. The wait staff is super friendly and attentive. The food is amazing. Every dish I have tried, from the enchiladas to the street tacos, has been well made. Their beans and rice … mmmmmmm. The ambiance and environment is also wonderful, and it’s easy to hold a conversation whether you sit inside or outside. This most recent visit, Martha was our server. She was especially helpful and attentive.

While visiting Disneyland today, my friends and I decided to visit Downtown Disney for dinner. We chose Tortilla Jo’s because we were craving some mexican food. When we arrived, there was a line out the door. We had a party of six, and we were told that the wait was approximately 45 minutes. The bar is first come first serve, but with our large party it was difficult to find room at one of the bars. We met a very nice employee named DANIEL, he may have even been a manager. He noticed that we were struggling to find a table, so he offered us a large table upstairs even though they were closing the upstairs serving area relatively soon. We didnt even have to wait. This was extremely nice, he went out of his way to assist us. **Customer service has a huge impact, and this was a very nice gesture. After being seated, we ordered some food and drinks. I decided on the cadillac margarita, and the steak nachos. Everything was delicious. The drink was flavorful, not too strong and just right. The nachos were smothered in cheese, beans, guacamole, salsa and steak. So delicious. I will definitely be back. This place has great customer service and excellent food. **This place is a little pricey, but it is expected since you are at Disneyland. Everywhere has somewhat inflated prices. You will spend about $ 12 to $ 20 for an entrée and $ 10 to $ 14 per drink.

I visited this restaurant located in Downtown Disney near Disneyland on my latest trip and it was one of the highlights of my trip. After a long day in the parks it was nice to be able to get a reservation for dinner at one of the view places I had not yet been in Downtown Disney. Immediately the service stood out, from my greeting to the drink order. Service means a lot to me when I’m on vacation and this place had it down to a science. The drink recommendations were excellent and my meal I will continue to rave about. Given the location, any restaurant in Downtown Disney has to have«a little something extra» in order to survive. Tortilla’s has great service and fantastic food.

Food: 2.5 stars Service: 4 stars Atmosphere: 3 stars Came in on a Saturday afternoon and it was surprisingly not crowded, but DTD itself was unusually not crowded as well. The place reminds me of an El Toritos, so nice but nothing too fancy, but if you were at the parks all day it would be a nice place to sit down and have a meal. The server was great, very attentive and never let our water cups go empty. He also kept the complimentary chips and salsa dish filled as well. We ordered the tostada salad, shredded chicken burrito, and the kids chicken quesadilla meal. I ate the chicken burrito and it was ok, not a lot of flavor, so I mostly just ate the shredded chicken inside and didn’t bother with the green sauce /tortilla. My girlfriend thought that the tostada salad was good, not great, but it was pretty large, came with a good amount of chopped chicken, and overall seemed fresh. At about $ 10-$ 12 for a kids meal and $ 16 for a burrito or salad, it seemed a little pricy for what we got, but I guess it’s pretty much in line with the rest of the table service restaurants in DTD(actually on the lower end). Not sure if this would be on top of my list of places to eat in DTD, and if you have an annual pass or are in the parks I’d say there are better choices within the park where you can sit down and enjoy your meal.

I have been eating really healthy lately, and was CRAVING Mexican food, so I was thrilled to come here last weekend for lunch. My friend was told we had to try the table-side guacamole, and we have had so many conversations about garlic, we decided we were going to ask for them to add raw garlic in ours. They did, and it was SO amazing. I would have liked more cilantro in it, but it was still delicious! The avocado was so fresh! A lot of tables ordered this… it must be a big seller for them. Its so worth it! This place is really cute, and decorated with some cool pictures. I ordered the Tostada Salad with grilled chicken, and it was delicious. I stopped myself at halfway, but I could have devoured the entire thing. I should have, lol. The dressing was good and at first I thought it had a bite to it, but it wasnt really that spicy. The chips were fresh and the salsa was mild. I was tempted to ask for a hotter salsa, but decided not to. The service was awesome, very friendly, and quick. I loved this place! And I want some more of that garlic guacamole!

Note: I was invited here as a guest for a media tasting of their Brunch menu. I have been here before and my opinions are that of a paying customer. I love brunch, I think its made for really lazy folks like me who can’t make it out on time for breakfast and still enjoy that day drinking buzz the day afterwards. Well, Tortilla Jos would be a great choice if you’re in the Anaheim area. They have a unlimited mimosa for an hour which you can add to your entrée for $ 10 more. Definitely worth it if you can get 10 of them down the hatch!(Yes, I love getting my money’s worth). The mimosas here actually tastes not too sweet and not too dry. If you don’t like mimosas, order the peach margarita(part of their Fruta margaritas) I know what you’re saying, isn’t that more like a girl’s drink? Not true! I don’t know how they made this, but it tasted like as if it was freshly muddled into my drink. It was full bodied and the tequila used was just enough for a good buzz. They have strawberry, peach, mango or raspberry as choices. As for the food, complimentary chips and salsa are light and not overly salty. It just wants you to keep eating and they will just keep refilling for you! They have a cinnamon french toast with Horchata whip cream that was quite addictive. With candied walnuts and cajeta syrup, it was finger licking good! I only had a bite of the huevos rancheros but that tasted truly authentic, with refried beans, eggs, cojita cheese. Desserts, I had the chimichangas and churros. I’d be honest, pass on the chimichangas and just get the churros, it tastes lighter so you can get more of those in your stomach. Oh yeah, and by eating churros here, you won’t have to have the urge to eat that inside the park. They validate here and by doing so, it gets you 4 hours total. I’ve been here before and food was always quite good. We are spoiled here in So. Cal with so many great Mexican fare but if you here just to see the mouse, this place respresents well! They are part of the Patina Group so make sure you sign up for their birthday club. You’ll save some $$ when you dine on your birthday.

I had brunch here on Saturday and it was SO good! When I think of brunch I don’t normally think of this place when there are so many places in Downtown Disney calling my name. But this will be my new go-to. The Apple Spring Salad was very light and fresh. That will be the item I regularly order. It’s perfect just before a day in the parks. It had not only apples, but also mango, jicama, almonds, radish, and more — all lightly dressed in a yogurt dressing. The Machaca con Huevos Chile Relleno is not your traditional chile relleno. First off, it’s a breakfast chile relleno so it’s got eggs in it. Also, it’s not battered and fried like most traditional chile rellenos. So it’s again, another lighter option as a breakfast starter. There was still plenty of sauce and cheese to add flavor, I promise you won’t miss the batter at all. It was just a little surprising when it arrived looking different than what is expected. So prepare yourself. But it was good and I’d order it again if I was looking for something more hearty before hitting up the parks in the morning. The horchata whipped cream on the french toast was also amazing. I would order a side of that whipped cream and put on everything if I could. It added so much more depth and flavor to the french toast, while keeping the dish still pretty much in it’s traditional form as a more American entrée option. — But honestly, I’m not joking. When I go back, I’m going to see if I can order a side of it with my coffee. In addition, I definitely had a margarita… who says you can’t have a margarita in the morning? The house mango one on the rocks was very good. Tastes like they used mango juice and not a mango syrup so it didn’t taste artificial and was very refreshing. They also serve mimosas(which I also had). The restaurant itself was not crowded on a Saturday for brunch(10am). It wash’t empty, but there wasn’t a wait for a table. The interior is decorated like a traditional Mexican restaurant with some of the vibrant reds, blues, and yellows and a neutral brown and sand colored floor and walls. But even with the darker neutral colors, the restaurant has high ceilings so it was still a very open feeling. Parking is 4 hours free with validation from the restaurant. Just don’t forget to get it stamped on your way out.
