U-Haul Moving & Storage at Anaheim Blvd

Well after 2 weeks my card was finally refunded for the charge they billed it when they said I stole a dolly. The sad part is the amount of time a person has to waste to make sure people do their jobs. Do not use this location for your rental/​storage needs, unless you like being called a thief.

Worst phone service ever. Do not call these guys unless you have an hour of your time to waste. They literally think its a game to waste your time. My call asking for the rate on a very specific unit, for a very specific amount of time lead to dozens of personal questions completely unrelated to a price. Why do you need my last name to give me a price? Why do you need my phone number to give me a price? Why do you need my email to give me a price? Why do you need my exactly what I’m putting in the unit to give me a price? Why do you need the year make and model of my vehicle? Why do you need to know how many rooms are in my home? Any attempt to bypass a question results in the representatives refusal to assist, absolutely unbelievable! To add insult to injury, the rep was pretending to sound like a 50s style nasally operator. And I know she was rudely pretending because when I called her out for wasting my time, she mistakenly lost her fake accent upon dishing back her own rude comments. Childish, unprofessional, unhelpful.

Made a reservation online only to show up and be told that they couldn’t honor the 24 hour time frame that I had booked? That makes no sense. Staff was completely unhelpful and rude. Amazing this place is still in business

I read the reviews and was apprehensive about renting from this location, but it was the closest one to my apartment. I booked my U-​Haul online on Monday for Thursday at 9 a.m. I received my conformation e-​mail and was set. Thursday I was running about 15 minutes late and called to let them know. I was quoted $ 75 based on the information I gave the attendant (how many miles, what time will I bring it back). I was able to fit my studio apartment in to a 10′ truck and get everything loaded and unloaded and back to the U-​Haul location in one trip and within 4 hours. When I returned the truck it only costed $ 52 bucks! I barely used any gas (moved to Downtown Santa Ana from Downtown Anaheim) so they didn’t charge me extra for it. Overall a fine experience and I’d recommend renting a U-​Haul to anyone moving.

Stopped by to refill propane tank one employee was busy with a customer the other wasn’t doing anything but sitting ask i asked for some other customers walked in so i guess helping the other customer was easier job from walking to yard an assist me since I had arrived few minutes before. I waited for 10min no one cane outside to help out thanks you arco gas station didn’t mind paying extra for good service

I just got back from a horrible experience with this U Haul Store. i dealt with the owner, I had called and made a reservation to have a brake controller installed. I was quoted on the phone $ 124.95 total installed. I specifically asked for a proportional unit not a delayed unit. The woman on the line said she asked the store and the one i am being quoted was a proportional unit. When I showed up to get the unit installed per my appointment the owner complained that he would have to miss his lunch and the price i was quoted was the wrong price and he would not honor it. To get a proportional unit would be a substantially higher cost. He was rude about it or I might have done it. But at that point I just said i would go elsewhere i suggest you do the same

I couldn’t believe how rude the manager was!!! We just had a couple of questions and he wasn’t helping or answering. He was trying to rush us out and I called him out on that… asking why he wouldn’t help us??? And his response as he yelled, «Because I have other customers in line and I’m busy!!!» I looked his his fat picture on the board, laughed and walked out. Don’t waste your time with this joke of a place.

I would like to start off that we received the vehicle just slightly below the quarter level and that’s how we returned and the uhaul employee bullied us to adding more claiming it was given to us at a quarter and not slightly below and wanted to charge us a 30 dollar fee then while we had the vehicle the AC was not operational, worst experience with uhaul, definetly not recommanding this location and will follow up by writing a poor Unilocal review. The «manager» was not understanding about the situation whatsoever.

Horrible experience at this location! Robert nearly ruined my day with his ugly attitude. He should quit if he hates his job so much. Corey seems to be headed in the same direction but may just be a follower. Shame on both of them for such horrible customer service. Needless to say, I am calling in to complain about what a lack of common courtesy they had. Zero stars

After reading some of the other reviews I was a lil nervous renting from this Uhaul but I was pleasantly surprised.
I booked my truck a month in advance and used the online app to do a confirmation and quick check-​in. My move wasn’t going to be a far one but instead of making a few small trips I decided on a larger truck to cut down on gas and mileage charges.
The day of my move I was one of the first two there. I told the guy behind the counter that I had a reservation and the name it was under. After I confirmed my truck some staff member went into the system and changed my reservation. What could have been a real problem was avoided by his willingness to try to accommodate me. I know we all make mistakes but when a person acknowledges company error, finds the problem and alleviate the situation without making me feel I need to prove what I’m saying is the truth or without attitude, I can definitely say this Uhaul made a VERY good impression.

OK, I need to preface this review with a disclaimer: In addition to propane refills, this place also does the usual U-​Haul truck rentals and self-​storage thing, but I’ve not personally used those services at this location. I’m reviewing their propane refill service here.
OK, so the place I used to go to in Anaheim to get my propane tanks refilled went out of business. I had to hunt around to find another place that would refill tanks because, these days, many of the propane places want to do tank-​exchange only… which is a rip-​off. Anyway, I found a gas station down the street that did it… but they only did it during certain hours, and only if the attendant felt like it, apparently. Long story short, their service sucked.
So I tried this U-​Haul place next and they rock. They are fast, friendly, polite, and don’t over-​charge for propane. Plus it’s super-​close to my pad and, therefore, very convenient.

Corey did an outstanding job with excellent Costumer Service. Hes friendly, polite courteous and professional at all times. Corey was 10 Star rating Overall.
He was Amazing helping me out Above and beyond until the Job is Done!
First I was Angry and exhausted coz I have to leave that night. Someone at the office told me that my new installed hitch and reservation is ready. But when I arrived nothing is done. I was very please with Corey that I’m gonna be late a little bit and he waited for me jst to get everything paid off and sign a contract but someone didn’t do they’re job. I was so impressed with Corey to take the Responsibility to take action and call his Boss to stay late to installed my new hitch. He told me it’s gonna take a couple hours and he did. he was fast and efficiency installing my new hitch. Then suddenly at the end someone arrived try arguing with Corey. Corey told them that the office hours was closed at 7pm but they’re still insist and arguing with him. Corey did call the Costumer Service to tell them and nice way to comeback next day, But they’re still arguing until I was arguing with them and almost get in to fight with them coz Corey helping still finishing up installing my new Hitch. After everything done I was very Happy with the work done and Corey to stay late to finish the Job.
Thank U U HAUL to have someone employee like HiM did Amazing excellent Costumer Service and I would highly recommend your Location U HAUL in Anaheim to my Facebook friend and to my Family friend.

If it was possible to grant ½ stars, I would do so. This business is run without the slightest amount of respect for customers. Whoever owns this particular store, franchisee or corporate, seeks to maximize profits by having one or two employees working on a Sunday. The result goes something like this:
Me: Hi, I need to get propane.
Worker: sorry, Propane’s closed.
Me: (checks watch) you close at 7. It’s 4:45.
Worker: I’m the only one here and I got people returning trucks and it’s just me and guys want to rent and.. .
Me: I don’t need to hear anymore. (walks out)
Keep giving me reasons to not spend my money at U-​Haul. I won’t be back for anything; propane, rentals, supplies, nothing. I suggest you go anywhere else.

This place is horrible! I made a reservation approx a week and a half before my move date. On the day of my move I waited in line for almost an hour and half. They should have a line for customers with reservations and customers without. On top of that, there was only one cashier! There should have been at least 2 to process all of the customers, especially on a weekend! Also, UHAUL has placed a 5 day business hold on the transaction for the rental. Instead of releasing the hold and taking the money that was being held, they processed a different transaction… so I still have a temporary hold for the full amount posted to my account as well as a full amount withdrawal… talk about inconvenience, its as if I have paid twice for one rental! Never again will I ever choose to rent anything from this place again!

Everyone hates to move; especially when it’s not your fault you are getting evicted. U-​haul tries to maker the pain of moving a little less of a pain. Good store for all of your packing needs.
They also have a propane tank for refilling your tank.

Well if u buy some stuff there is no returning policy just Go to grocery stores get free box. This place is dishonest. I call this bullshit. you ask question Jonathan manager he answer everything straight either you like it or not… I been renting from this place alloy lately I went to other Uhaul for 10 f. Long truck some how mile charge is extra with this place is 0.59 cent other place ate 0.79 weekend price might change but that’s so normal. Talk with Jonathan his really help full. Small but busy place. I rent Uhaul allot this is the best I ever deal with. Oo Jonathan remembers returning costumer over the phone with out saying your name. This dude works hard and he deserve the 5 start. Thank you Jonathan I’m so happy with your costumer service

THIS PLACE IS VERY DISHONEST!
Actually, they stole from us.
We returned our van with our wallet in it and 4 hours later when we called them they said they had it. We’ve rented there many times and they know us but they didn’t bother to let us know our wallet was left in the van.
When we went to pick it up the credit, debit, and license were just sitting there without the wallet. They didn’t deny it was found with the wallet but said they didn’t know what happened to it. YOU WOULD THINK A LOST WALLET WOULD BE KEPT IN A SECURE PLACE SO THIS WOULDN’T HAPPEN! Likely they went through it and took what they wanted and just left the rest sitting around for anyone to mess with.
DISHONEST!!! THIEVES!!! And to think we know them by name and they know us too. YUK!

So I helped Will move and we managed to get a 10×8? u-​haul at the last minute. the place closed at 7pm we got the truck at around 4:30 and had to move basically a small apartment in that amount of time. but luckily it was 4 blocks from wills house and one block from storage. we needed to return it by 7 however we ran out of time. and didn’t have time to refill the gas one notch. but the guy «let us go». the service is a bit slow but theres only like 2 people working her but i really can complain.

DO NOT USE THIS FACILITY — The Manager, Joseph Soto, is very rude and is in desperate need of Customer Service training. He refused to accept the U-​Haul truck and auto transporter I wanted to drop off at his location when he was required to accept the equipment because I had an open contract. I had to have the Regional Office call him and tell him to take the equipment (truck only because I had to drive to North Long Beach to drop off the auto transporter after dealing with him before speaking with the Regional Office) and he still charged me $ 79.50 because I burned the gas I had filled the truck with prior to going to the storage facility U-​Haul stated was one of their «drop-​off» facilities when it was not. I also tried the U-​Haul facility in Garden Grove who also declined to accept the truck and AT. The Anaheim U-​Haul facilities SUCK!!!
