Fabulous friends and Unilocalers and a fun fun time! Thanks to Van for putting this together. Way to go! She even went out of her way to make special treats for all Unilocalers in attendance, red velvet cake in a jar: While I had a great time, what I basicaly knew and generally suspected rang true. I am no artist! My creative side needs help. Here is my finished art: Van put up this UYE, did the event for the Unilocal page and included the groupon special deal link so we only had to pay $ 25. It was held at Naples in DD in Anaheim and was on the 2nd floor which felt a bit more private. Naples staff was pretty friendly and accomodating but sadly their food quality is only okay and the price is high. I returned an appetizer that was not worthy at all and I see my fellow Unilocaler friend Ryan also returned hers! My drink was weak and very pricey. A bummer, but I was there to paint! Here we all are, us girlies and Ran!(Great guy and better artistically than I!) Lot’s of fun and thanks again Van! Special shouts out of Unilocal Love to Van, Ryan and Shawna for great company!

5 stars for the great company!!! Thank you Laina A, Ryan P, Shawna C and Randoll C for coming out :) So back at the YEE: Museum of Merriment a few Unilocalers egged me on to make a PaintNite event where we can all come together and drink and paint and have a great time. Peer pressure! So I was like… alright, let’s make this happen. A few weeks later… I had last minute messages and texts about job complications, purchasing the ticket for the wrong night and not purchasing a ticket before it was sold out… Epic Fail! Sorry you guys. You know who you are! I hope you guys feel bad because I made a nice red velvet cupcake in a jar with layers of cream cheese frosting, nutella and more cream cheese frosting for those who made it! :) Partial JK The event itself was fun though. It was a rocky start where the hostess gave me death glares for wanting to move seats so we could all sit together. And then we didn’t have any paint… And then I was running out of paint… But I’m not gonna let that get in my way of having a blast with my Unilocal-migos. After my Adiós(s) I felt so artistic. All of our paintings came out lovely! Everyone had their own technique and vision for the painting while we all received the same instructions. I love how Laina A’s painting had the leaves blowing outwards. What great vision! So realistic unlike my leave blowing in a unidirectional cluster. And I love that Ryan P had her leaves in a different color and how her grass looked so gentle and fluffy. Shawna C had this unique high hump in the closer hill! It really gave her painting great character. And last but surely not least, I love how well Randoll C had his depth well structured so that his primary tree was the focus of the painting. I would definitely be down to do another PaintNite with my Unilocal buddies. Someone else plan it though…

What a fun way to break up the week by getting together with some non-flaky Unilocalers for a night of drinking and painting. Van D. was kind enough to set up a UYE for Unilocalers to get together and have a little weeknight fun in Downtown Disney. You had to click on the link and buy the Groupon or Living Social voucher for $ 25 and then go on line the Paint Nite and use that same voucher to register for the class. It was really quite simple a 5 year old could do it. After that you were in and you just sat back and wait for the date and time to arrive. The really cool thing was that even though the restaurant was located in Downtown Disney the parking down there is FREE for 3 hours and the restaurant will validate for up to two hours giving you a total of 5FREEUNPAIDHOURS of Downtown Disney fun as long as you managed NOT to have some un-vaccinated little incubus touch you and/or breath or cough in your general direction giving you the measles. Yikes! Anyway we all arrived and Shawna checked me in since it took me a month of Sundays to hobble down on my one good foot to the far end of Downtown Disney passed the House of Blues, pass Build a Bear to Naples Restaurant. Whew… it is quite a journey when one limb is out of commission but I made it. The class started but 2 peeps in our group didn’t even have paint. One person Laina was missing a main color(white) and the other two of us that had all out supplies really wasn’t paying too much attention to what the instructor was saying cause we were talking. Haha! The instructor and her little helper were both REALLY quite NICE and PAITENT and didn’t have a problem repeating herself several times even though our group on occasion had some person doing a Zena Warrior call, rolling her R’s loudly like she was at a fiesta to a Gloria Estaban song, and just generally being cray-cray Unilocalers having a GOODTIME! It was SOOOFUN! We all managed complete our paintings and take pics to commemorate the evening. My painting looks GREAT on the pictures we took. Up closed and person it’s a «Full-on Monet». You know looks GREAT from afar but its hagsville up close. Well that’s my painting. Regardless of the paining outcome I had a good time laughing with my fellow Unilocalers and breaking up the week with a fun activity. I’m certain my painting would have been a 1000 times better had a had a few drinks but mixing meds with alcohol is no Bueno plus it’s was ONLY my 2nd day driving with a bum foot so I didn’t want to chance it. Van was awesome and made some red velvet cupcakes in a jar. SUPERCREATIVE! I may have to hire her for my next party! Woohoo! AND because some UnilocalERs were FLAKESEXTRAORDINAIRE we got to take home a few of her HOMEMADE jarred cupcakes. YUMMY! THANKVAN for setting up this activity. Let’s do it again.
