We had a pipe burst underneath the house, called JD and he was out here in no time. He was awesome, for a plumber to come out on the weekend, I did consider him very reasonable. We have had a pipe underneath our building leaking hot water for about a month, it was a mess down there. We were so impressed with him that we not only had the emergency repair we hired him for additional plumbing needs. He is professional, courteous and very hard-working. I would absolutely recommend him to my friends and family for plumbing needs.

After purchasing a Groupon for furnace inspection and water heater tune-up, made an appt as directed. No one showed up for the appt, and when called the number listed, voice mail recording told me to call the number I just dialed for immediate or emergency response. That should have been my first clue. Left a msg for someone to call me back, no response. Called the next morning to get the same vmail msg and left another msg. That afternoon JD Berry called me back and explained he had been working on an emergency call for someone who had no hot water. Fair enough. He wasn’t in a position to make an appt at that moment but promised to call back & re-book the appt. After a week of no return call, and seeing he had arranged another discount deal through Living Social, I called again. JD Berry’s unenthusiastic response was«oh yeah, I meant to call». Not impressed. We booked another appt. On that date after 20 min of no-show at the appt time, I called — again no answer. However he did call back shortly after that to inform me he was at Hospital Emergency. Expressing concern, he assured me it was nothing serious and«he meant to call». We re-booked the appt. On the day of the third appt, I called 2 hrs ahead of time to ensure he was coming to which he unenthusiastically replied yes. 15 min past the 6pm appt time he called to explain he was on the other side of town, and was stopping for dinner before getting to my house. At that point I was just happy that he was actually coming. When he showed up an hour past the appt time he spent 10 – 15 min providing the service I purchased through Groupon. He found a $ 400 issue with the furnace, nothing with the water heater. Rather than arrange for him to fix the furnace issue, I told him I wanted to speak with a friend formerly in the business first, but would be in touch if I could not get a ‘deal’ through my friend. The next morning, after not using any hot water the night before, I returned from the gym to discover I had no hot water at all for a shower. Inspecting the water heater in a very aggitated mood proved the pilot light was out. I was not able to light it, and late for work, I went back to the gym to shower. Fortunately a co-worker was able to assist me mid-morning and I had hot water again by 5pm. It seemed very coincidental that for the first time in 6 yrs of living in my home that the pilot light went out after his visit. JD Berry had no respect for my time and I feel that he has over-extended himself with all the Groupon and Living Social deals that he has arranged. I don’t ever want to meet him again.
