SPCA Thrift generally offers up some surprise for me. This time I found a new silicone steamer insert and a plastic garbage bin perfect for recyclables. Usually my purchases in this store are housewares. Not so much clothing. My friend deemed the prices expensive. Considering how much things cost in Anchorage, I think prices are about right. Of course, providing support to SPCA makes whatever I pay paltry in comparison to the services they provide in the community. I presented the Unilocal!15% off coupon and it was honored. Score!

They have a great jewelry selection. I bought quite a few vintage silver rings for very reasonable prices. Clothing selection isn’t great. Clean environment and friendly staff.

This place is legit. It’s one of the few thrift shops in town where you actually stand a chance of scoring a deal. It very much reminds me of thrift shops back in Philly with its no frills layout and organization. I can dig it because it doesn’t try to be more than it is. And where else in town can you buy 2^nd hand pet items, costume jewelry, clothing and furniture all in the same place.

Set back from the street… its larger than it appears from the outside.
Proceeds going to help animals/etc. «Petting area» located in the back in case you’re stressed, can easily make your day brighter. Cheap prices. Huge selection, $ 1 racks.

I love this thriftstore as it not only helps animals in need but this place also helps low income families buy housing essentials, clothing, books and games, to say the least. Dropping off donations is always a breeze, just swing around back during open hours and there will be someone in the back to sort through it all. There are usually a couple of cats wandering through the area that are rescues. I always walk out with something and feel like I’m helping just a little bit whenever I stop in.

I absolutely love shopping here. Not only do I save so much, but I also get to talk with great people! Also, I bought a BRAND NEW litter box here for just $ 4, that saved me $ 10! It’s always something new and interesting everyday.
I don’t think I have ever walked out of here with nothing. Lol.
I love shopping on Saturday’s, since I can get 50% off. It even beats most of the garage sales in town! I have been shopping here for YEARS! It’s also great for little knick knacks.
And… All the proceeds go straight to animals! The best EVER!
