I really enjoyed the food and the timely service. The burger is filling and taste «real» and fresh. Besides a wife telling her husband to calm the hell down for possibly having to use the ATM there, the place has a nice place has a nice countrt atmosphere… husband asked her forgiveness and kissed in front of my table as i was biting my tasty burger… ewe! ;)

Yummy little burger joint! Full of history and pride of their customer plastered all over the wall. You walk up put your order in for one of the juiciest burgers ever, we also got the chili fries I didn’t want but ended up loving!!! The condiment bar is full of homemade pickles, (the spicy style are incredible) and everything you need for your burger and salsas. You can sit in multiple places inside and spend hours looking at all the pictures and beauty surrounding it, they also have incredible seating right on the river that is such a beautiful and solitude experience, definitely setting the bar at a new level for a burger joint! Yum yum!!! So glad we didn’t miss this!

Great memories here. Great food, great location. Fully intend to visit again when I go back to Alaska someday.

My second favorite place to get a fast food burger it’s not super fast. But it does still have that old fashion burger flavor.

This building has a ton of history. It’s got a lot of «stuff» on the walls, but unlike a major chain restaurant, it’s all pretty meaningful: local climbers, mushers, and adventurers.
In the winter they have a fire crackling and there’s a small creek near here in the summer.
The burgers are fine. They are smaller, more fast-​food-​style burgers. I didn’t find anything objectionable about them, but nothing really wowed me either.
Cash only, order at the counter.

Omg!!! Loved the pickles yum!!! Burgers and fires hit the spot. My son had the 3 cheese grilled cheese and he gobbled it up. The atmosphere was unique with all pictures everywhere and nice that you can sit outside next to the creek. Me and my wife both had the Arctic cheese and we devoured them. If you want a good burger in Anchorage definitely try this place.

The burgers are well worth the money. The stream and relaxing atmosphere are to be experienced. My only gripe is that as far as I know, they still do not take credit cards. I had invited a friend out to lunch for her birthday and was embarrassed when I was told that my plastic money was no good. I had to borrow cash from her and then mail her a check. This made me look pretty bad and almost ruined the day. I’m not sure if the management realizes the ramifications of such a strange policy.
The food and location, though, is just too good and so I keep coming back…

I used to frequent this restaurant quite a bit, and it used to be one of my favorite places to get a decent burger, unfortunately my last couple visits drastically changed the way I feel about this restaurant. The service is terrible, and it looks like they have only young teenage kids working there who don’t care about the quality of food or service. The last two times I came to this location, BOTH occasions there was a hair in my burger. The first time I thought there was a possibility of it being my own, and did not bring it to the attention of anyone. The second time the hair was actually deep in the burger and I knew that there was no chance of it being mine. (Now I am feeling more confident in saying that the first hair in the food experience here was not from my own. EW.) I very politely walked to the front desk to inform them and possibly get compensated or at least an apologetic «sorry,» but the girl behind the counter just said «Okay?» So I just turned around, threw the burger away and walked out, never to return!
If you like hair in your burger, come here!

Really good burgers, kind of a strange ordering system though. I think it’s a bit weird that if you want fries you have to actually order them separate because they don’t come with the burger like they don’t in almost all other places. Their shakes are the most amazing ever. I’ve never tried to customize anything, but I’ve heard from school friends who work here that it doesn’t go over well with the cook.
I believe they only accept cash, (the workers don’t even have a direct deposit option. They get checks every 2 weeks). The décor is awesome and my grandparents contributed some of the stuff hanging on the walls at this location.

Consistently excellent burgers and service is top notch! The Kenai Burger is awesome! Come hungry!

Good burger for a great price. The restaurant is unique with a lot of AK past times on the walls, in the winter they have a wood fire running for you. Nice small-​town diner feel. I will definitely be coming pack!

A friend called and had 45 min to meet for lunch and was on the corner of Old Seward an Int’l.
I asked him to meet me at Arctic Roadrunner and jumped into the car.
Two Alaskan Banquets ($ 13) later we had time to eat and quickly plan.
This is my go to place for burgers!

Very warm homey feel, burgers and fries are pretty decent and great prices. Definitely not modern food though, but its understandable considering how long it’s been in business.

Had lunch from there today. Very good well prepared burgers. Not overcooked as so many places do. We had a to go order and the homemade onion rings didn’t travel all that well. Maybe need a different to go container for them. Most of the breading fell off in the paper bags they were in. They still tasted good, just didn’t look all that great. It still is a 4 for me as those are great when eaten in house. Quality drops on to go orders at most every restuarant.

I always get the Mexican burger (no lettuce) and onion rings. Their fries are kind of… icky. Lol
The customer service is kind of crap.
But the place has great décor, prices and burgers. Highly recommend.

What happened to one of my favorite burger places? The patty on my bacon cheese burger barely covered half of the bun. The «large» order of onion rings was a total of 10 on a plate.
The décor is still pretty neat, but I will get my burger fix at Tommy’s from now on.

Their customer service sucks! I tried to customize my fries and the cashier needed to ask the cook how to ring it up. The cook went off on the poor cashier. Rather than saying «you’d have to ring everything up separate» she got nasty and felt the need to explain what they do have on the menu and why!

Went here today and its the best for I’ve had in Alaska besides my own. Burgers are fabulous and some of the best onion rings I’ve ever had! Can’t wait to come back.

My us and picked this up to go for us one weekday and he said it was PACKED during the lunch hour, so call ahead to save some time. The food is exactly like the arctic location. The burgers are tastey and hand formed, so it seems. I got the bacon cheese burger and he got some burger with ham and a big slimed pepper (kodiak, maybe). His was not that great, it was too messy without any great justifiable taste. My buger was perfect! They are a solid burger place with a lot of history. It’s. It my favorite, but I would come back! Their fries are good too, nothing super special.

Great place to grab a quick bite to eat! Their prices are super affordable as well. We ordered two burgers, fries and a soda – all for under $ 20. I had the salmon burger and it was delicious. It comes with the option of beans or coleslaw as well. The salmon burger isn’t made with your typical salmon patty. It was actually a salmon filet. Seasoned perfectly with just the right amount of tartar sauce.
You order at the counter upon entering. Food comes out super fast. They even have a fireplace you can sit by during the cold winter days! Will definitely be back to try their other burgers and sandwiches.
