We shopped around… a lot. Big Bobs did an amazing job for us in a few ways: 1. Jeff, our sales rep, was fantastic. Candid and a good communicator, he was great about answering our questions and being proactive in terms of letting us know what needed doing. 2. They got us great pricing — with no corners cut. 3. The installer (Ralph and team) did a great job — attention to detail on our hardwood floors and carpet alike. Will definitely work with them again when we need anything else done.

That, and the other minor details that make this place great are: super-​informative sales guys, laid back atmosphere, willingness to work with your budget, and a ton of samples. This place is definitely a contender in our future projects.

Following a recent move from the Seattle’s east-​side to Anchorage, my husband and I found ourselves in a situation in which the rental property we leased needed new carpeting due to some pet odor/​damage done by the previous damage.
Our LL hired Big Bob’s to take care of the issue, and from our very first interaction with them, they were nothing but friendly and helpful. The gentleman who came to measure the area, Tony, was very amiable and professional, and made my husband and I feel much more comfortable with the whole process.
When the big day was upon us, the two gentlemen that Big Bob’s sent over were also very nice. One of the poor guys had just thrown out his back, and was in visible pain, but still managed to be super friendly and understanding, and immediately put me at ease.
There was a tiny bit of confusion about how much carpeting was to be replaced, but our LL straightened things out very quickly, and Big Bob’s sent another excellent representative (I believe his name is Jamie), who explained the situation and gave me an estimate of how long the process would take. Initially, I was told it would probably take a full day, and the finishing touches would be done the next morning. I was surprised at how quickly they planned to get things done!
So, imagine my astonishment and gratitude (!) when it turned out that the efficient and diligent crew from Big Bob’s was able to finish carpeting 3 bedrooms, a hallway, nearly 30 stairs, and a landing all in one day! That is some seriously hard work those guys have to do, and they did an amazing job.
The odor from the previous tenants is completely gone, and it is as though a cloud (a really gross one) has been lifted! I didn’t realize it until they were done, but the overwhelming odor had really been bumming me out and making me a less than pleasant person to interact with. I am much happier now — thank you Big Bob’s!
Needless to say, my husband and I are thrilled with the excellent work that the gentlemen from Big Bob’s did, and highly recommend them.
