Reliable Appliance

Let me start by saying that this would be a five star review if the original dryer I purchased worked or if they would have repaired it. I bought a washer and dryer set and the guy was extremely helpful and even switched the plug for the dryer because my outlet was a three prong and the dryer had a four prong. Got home and washed a set of clothes and the clothes came out looking clean and smelling good. But when I tried drying them the dryer would not get hot. Then sometimes it would get hot and wouldn’t. I called reliable appliance and they said it would be three weeks before a technician could be here. A technician comes three weeks later and doesn’t even fix it, says I have a bad timer and they need to find one. I have to keep calling them throughout the next week to see if they got a new timer. They finally told me they were going to replace my washer and dryer but they rescheduled twice on me. They finally brought me a washer and dryer and they don’t look as good as the others and the washer doesn’t have a fabric softener dispenser like the other. Would have been five stars if I didn’t have to deal with all that bullshit they should not have sold a non working dryer.

I walked in with cash in hand to purchase a refrigerator. My first impression walking in was less than spectacular. The office was cluttered and dirty looking. Strong chemical smell filled the room. There were wires and loose cords hanging from the ceiling and the lady in the corner was on an inappropriate personal call while the girl next to her was taking business calls, trying to help another customer in front of her as she greeted and pointed me in the right direction. I walked to the back room and found a couple of fridges that I was interested in but could not find anyone to assist me. I then walked back into the office where The lady in the corner was finishing up her cellphone conversation. I asked her some info about the fridges. To my amazement she didn’t even look up at me and she proceeded to tell me that it wasn’t her department and she couldn’t help me. She seemed as those my mere presence was an inconvenience to her. I decided to take my business else where.

They did some warranty work on my washer and did a fantastic job of fixing the problem. Technician was friendly, professional, and even was sure to kick off his shoes at the door. I just bought a new dishwasher at Best Buy and they promised delivery installation and haul away of my old dishwasher. NOT! They
Lied about the installation, so I’ll be calling Reliable Appliance to install my dishwasher.

Their scheduling system is impossible. They give you a date in advance, but refuse to tell you until the night before what window of time they’re coming. If you have a day job that involves any meetings or appointments whatsoever, it’s incredibly difficult to work with them.

Reliable Appliance, fixed my ice maker today, the technician was great, he was friendly, efficient, and very much qualified for the work to be done.
I would recommend Reliable and their technician Paul for home appliance repairs anytime.

Horrible service, they didn’t show up or even call after telling me the technician would be there between 8 – 5! Seriously?! I took a day off work wating for them just to have them tell me the next day (since they dont answer the phone after 5pm) that they never had an appointment for me at all. I talked to you personally to confirm and I still have the confirmation email!
Update: The tech showed up for the second appointment, he was very professional and actually fixed the dishwasher. I’m adding 2 stars to this review as I was a little heated at the time. Still had to wait 2 weeks to use my brand new dishwasher but I think some of the blame should be on Lowes for a terrible return policy.

A brilliant experience with Reliable! Reliable came to me recommended by Mountain Mechanical (who came to the rescue with my water heater non-​issue,
). The first time I tried the dishwasher in my new condo, it leaked. The second time, it smelled like it was burning and the water hissed when it touched the heating element. Scary for a first-​time homeowner who is not mechanically inclined. Afraid to use the thing again, I called and made an appointment. From the get, their staff were friendly and helpful. I can’t say enough good things about Dave from Louisiana, who came out to have a look. Dave knew more about how my dishwasher worked than I’m sure the person who designed it. He ran a few tests, walked me through what he was doing and why, and then showed me where the problem was (I was loading the thing wrong). All of this he managed to do while avoiding making me feel stupid. As he assured me, «we’re in this together, now!». My dishwasher is no longer an evil kitchen villain, and for that, Reliable has earned my gratitude and loyalty.
