Another great Light Concept manicure with Misty! Love this cute, trendy shop. A great place for manicures, pedicures, tanning and more.

Absolutely incredible nail technicians. I scheduled a manicure and shellac polish. My tech was Ashley and her service was top notch. She was careful to keep the color from running into my skin and never once use extreme equipment or drew blood. I’ve already scheduled my next appointment with her.

This place has everything you can ask for — attentive nail technicians and good products. Ashley was sweet, did my nails well, and asked how they looked while doing my French gel shellac. If your in anchorage it’s worth the drive south to their salon! I’ve already rebooked my appointment in 3 weeks. :-)

I took my mom here a few days ago for us both to get mani/​pedis. When I asked the price when I called a week before she said $ 90. Not each, so I assumed it was for both since I had told her it was for both of us. When we get there my mom goes to get her pedicure and I get my manicure. I ask about the price and she said EACH. $ 180 for us both to get a manicure and pedicure. I wasn’t able to afford that so I just had to get a manicure and cancel my pedicure. No problem. Still had to pay $ 135 which is absolutely ridiculous.
I got shellac on my nails. It has been about 3 days and it’s already chipping and she didn’t even put it along my nail bed or close to my cuticles so it looks like it’s been on my nails for like a week.
I DO NOT recommend this place. Way too over priced and not a good end result. The only good thing that came out of it was that Maria was able to make my moms feet smooth. That’s it.
I called Audrey yesterday to set up an appointment to fix my nails and she said she was going to call me back. It’s been over 24 hours and she hasn’t called me back. VERY UNPROFESSIONAL!

I’ve been going here off and on since 2002 and this place is always the cleanest place I’ve been to. The staff is really friendly and helpful.
I went in for a tan a few weeks ago and saw a $ 30 one hour massage special. I scheduled one right away for my husband and myself– and am wondering why I have not had regular massages since. I’ve been telling everyone I can about the special (for September).
I went in this week for another tan and saw a $ 25 shellac mani– and am scheduling that now too.
I do have free tanning at my gym but always seem to miss the available times (so annoying), I’m glad I came here.

My favorite place in Anchorage to get a manicure. Misty is phenominal at her craft, offering tasteful, clean, & fashion forward shellac manicures. Sunrise Sun Spa is the only place I recommend & trust getting a manicure in this town!

Best Light Concept Nails (LCN) in town! Their prices are comparable to others in town but the service is far above average. They have 5 – 6 nail techs with an abundance of experience. The atmosphere is bright, cheerful and professional.
When my last nail tech retired she referred me to Sunrise and I have been impressed by the quality of the work and the variety of product available.
This may sound funny to some, but I’ve been to some salons where the techs are complaining about family or other clients or whatever. The atmospheres a just plain negative and ugly as a result. This is not the case at Sunrise. It is clear the staff get along and even enjoy being at work. This makes it a fun, refreshing and enjoyable experience all the way around.

I got a manicure here once and I am pretty happy with it. I’m only giving 3 stars because the lady doing my manicure put my hands in scalding hot water and gave my hands a crappy massage. The lady that did my friends mani and pedi was very nice to her and I so she made us feel good and happy.

Love this place with a passion! Not only does Sun Rise Sun Spa offer a variety of tanning options but they also have an assortment of beauty accommodations. Very clean and very fun atmosphere. Employees are always there to greet you with a smile and knowledgeable to answer your questions. Best benefit for me was that I got great deal on tanning as well as sunless spray tanning. Needless to say it’s an awesome place for your one stop beauty spot.

I only went here for the tanning, but they offer many great services.
Pros: Incredibly clean, very helpful staff, variety of tanning lotions, tanning packages available, flexible scheduling.
Cons: This may or may not be true, but their tanning prices seemed high. It could be just me though because I rarely ever tan, so I may just be out of touch on how much tanning costs.
I liked this place so well, I would consider going back to indulge in some of their other services like their gel manicures!

My previous aesthetician moved so I asked for referrals from all of my girlfriends & family members here in Anchorage. I got a lot of great referrals but it took me a while to narrow it down to someone who could accommodate my hectic work schedule. My cousin referred me to Soniaa here at Sunrise Sun Spa. She was GREAT! This salon offers so many services like tanning, nail services like light concept nails, facials, eye lash extensions, waxing services etc. Great customer service. Needless to say Im definitely going back.
