Urban Bamboo

This truck is something special, bringing constantly creative food to the streets of anchorage for the past few years Urban Bamboo continues to pave the way for the local street food scene! Along the way, the chef has reinvented one of the most common sandwiches in America, the BLT.
This is a real treat! The «Bamboo BLT «is one of the only menu items that doesn’t change. It seems a bit pricy but once you taste it you may never want a normal BLT ever again!!! The rest of the menu seems unimportant after you taste this creation but this menu is top notch providing vegetarian and gluten free options that are equally as amazing and playful!

This place is pretty amazing! One of the best food trucks in anchorage! The BLT is outta this world

Thursday They are at the parking lot at koots. Interesting flair and a great addition to the Anchorage mobil food scene.

What can I say, I am a HUGE fan of UB! they are always friendly and the food is GREAT!!! I have tried just about everything on the menu and have NEVER been disappointed!
They have a couple new items on the menu at the UB this summer and they are fantastic as well!!!

Pretty good place as far as food trucks go. I like to go to the food truck festival on Thursdays for lunch and I enjoy that the Urban Bamboo has some healthier options. All the food trucks are a little spendy so you can’t really factor that in.
Urban bamboo does have steamed veggies and rice for $ 5 and that’s enough for me, so I’m a happy camper.

I just ate here for the first time today. I had the Thai pork skewer. The pork was both horribly tough and underdone. I’ll eat pink pork but this was seriously underdone. Also, contrary to another review on here I think that it was a small amount of food for $ 5. I work and thus eat downtown so I’m used to fairly high lunch prices but this was high even for what I’m used to. The pineapple sauce was pretty tasty though.

This truck is all over town… if you want to find them today you have to call their number or sign up for Twitter to get their location tweeted daily. They also have a Facebook page with more info as well. The address that’s listed is the business address for their catering.
But oh Yummmmy! Bhan mi you make me salivate. And Urban Kool-​Aid… how cool is that?!? Skewers run $ 3 – 5 (cheap! wooo hooooo!) and combos run $ 9 – 12. And yes kids, they DO have vegetarian options.

*For lunch on Tuesday through Friday from Noon to 3pm, daily location is announced on Twitter
*Friday and Saturday nights from Midnight to 4am they are parked at the Buckaroo Club on at 2811 Spenard.
*Saturday from 9am to 3pm they’re parked at the Spenard Farmer’s Market at 26^th.
