Stopped in for lunch while traveling on the Tacomic hywy. Sat at the bar with friendly locals and the most friendly bar staff. The calamari, burger, and grilled shrimp Caesar salad were all delicious! Highly suggest this is where you stop for good grub and good people when you’re traveling around here!

I love this relaxing unpretentious very pretty tavern Restaurant! Bobby G the proprietor makes you feel so welcome and the food is absolutely delicious. My favorites are the amazing meatballs in red sauce! A family recipe it is beyond the best ! The marinara sauce us better then at any Italian Restaursnt I have gone to. Also the chicken parmigian is extrodinary among other entrees if you are lucky enough to be there when ribs are a special you are in for a treat. The drinks .are also special with a Mango Martini being particularly a highlight. Also the burgers are so well prepared and yummy! I suggest you try this gem! Ellie and Larry

Really nice waitstaff and simple, but well prepared food at this little pit stop on the Taconic. My wife and I had a special beer battered cod sandwich with house-cut French fries. Everything was fresh and delicious! Would come back again for the good food and service with a smile!

I’ve been to Miller’s Tavern a few times and I can not say enough positive things about this establishment. Whether you want to sit in the dining area at a table or sit at the bar, you are treated very well. The staff is very attentive and they make sure you are happy. The food is excellent. Portions are very generous and delicious. You have many choices on the menu too, salads, burgers, steaks, pasta dishes and much more. The owner & Chef Bob is a great person. He makes it a point to go to each table and talk to the guests to make sure they are happy with the food and to get to know them, which makes me and others I have brought to this establishment, feel appreciated and comfortable dining here.
I definitely recommend Miller’s Tavern!!!

Five adults and three children(6, 11 and 14) had dinner here on a Saturday evening after spending the day at the Dutchess County Fair in Rhinebeck. It was our first time here; my daughter — the mother of the 11-year old and the 14-year old — searched for restaurants near Upper Red Hook that we hadn’t been to before and recommended Miller’s Tavern based on menu and reviews. She made a good choice. Most of our party had pasta dishes of one sort or another. LARGE portions and tasty(although the spaghetti in the Spaghetti with White Clam Sauce was more than merely al dente; it really needed to be cooked longer. And the pasta dishes come with either a house salad or a cup of soup. The salad was bigger than one might expect as a side salad, and the blue cheese dressing was good — a nice distinctively blue cheesy flavor. Three people had Pasta Alla Panna(with ham, peas, onions and cream) and were happy with their choices. The leftovers were taken home. The 11-year old ordered a hamburger. He clearly specified«very rare». This is NOT the place to go for a rare hamburger — it arrived well done. I couldn’t decide between the Spaghetti with White Clam Sauce and the Pulled Pork Sandwich, so I asked our waitress which I wanted. She said she liked the Pulled Pork better, so I went with that. It was bigger than the usual Pulled Pork Sandwich served on a hamburger bun or a Kaiser roll, and was tasty. I’d have it again. I only wish it was served with a REAL portion of coleslaw, not just what was in a little metal cup. Service was friendly and attentive. And the waitress whispered to my daughter that the kids could have ice cream for dessert — on the house. Choices are only chocolate and vanilla, but the ice cream was pronounced as «good», and the portion was generous. The bartender(who appeared to be the owner) came out and checked in with us to be sure we were happy. A nice touch. And the bar is in a separate room which is nice: the dining room is for eating and the bar is for drinking. What’s NOT so good? The French Fries. They were soggy, not the least bit crisp the way they should have been. Keep two policies in mind:(1) They add a 20% tip for parties of five or more; and(2) If you want to use a credit card(Visa or Master Charge) they add 4% to cover the credit card transaction fee. Bring cash.

Hey the food was great and since there was zero going on nearby, this place is an oasis. The staff and ownership care about the condition and seem to be working on the place. They were friendly and the food was tasty. I bet it gets crowded at night. I had a really good burger and my wife and daughter liked the veggie burger. The fries were fresh cut and tasty.

Stopped here by chance on our way to a wedding in Hudson. The skirt steak was fantastic, as was the salad, vegetables, service and atmosphere. A very pleasant experience overall. I would definitely dine here again if in the area and recommend it.

Not bad considering there is nothing else in the area. Prices are fair and on par with quality of the food. Flank steak was quite good. Rib eye was thin cut and a little disappointing. I would go back for beers and burgers. Noisy and little ambience… but it’s a tavern, so that makes sense

Stopped in for lunch on a Saturday afternoon. The place was empty. The food was fresh and tasty. We had a pulled pork sandwich and a salad with grilled chicken. The sandwich and fries were delicious. The salad was large with a nice variety of ingredients, and very fresh with a good house dressing. We will definitely stop in again. Only open Wednesday through Saturday.

This was, without a doubt, one of the worst dining experiences I have ever had. Four of my friends and I were in town for the weekend, and we went in with high hopes. There were three other parties seated in the mostly empty restaurant, but we were told that they were«busy,» which is why they did not have several(not one, but several) items listed on the menu. The food was tasteless, except for the eggplant rollatini appetizer, which was clearly made with ricotta cheese that had spoiled. When we politely pointed this out, it was taken away with no apology, and we were still charged for it. The service was slow, even for a slower paced town, and our waitress was unenthused and at some points, downright rude. It’s not possible to give zero stars, so one will have to do. Avoid this place at ALL costs.

Wonderful addition to Hudson Valley eateries and one of the very best places in Columbia County. The food is fresh and first rate, prepared by a talented chef, who was chef/proprietor at two hot Manhattan spots in years past. The bar area is a great place to relax and talk with whoever is around, either other customers, or the owner or chef — both terrific folks. Mercifully there is no TV in the bar.

A relatively recent addition to the short list of choices for Taconic Parkway commuters, Miller’s Tavern [the apostrophe may be incorrect], is a big winner in our book. Four of us had superb main courses: curry chicken, roast chicken, grilled lamb chops, and porterhouse steak. Nary a complaint was heard from our fussy group. Owner Bob came and chatted hello and then returned to make sure that everything was to our liking. He comped us to after dinner drinks as a gesture of welcome. The full bar, thankfully without a television, is roomy and comfy. The deserts were nicely done, and generously portioned. We are going back soon, either on our way north or south!
