Started taking my little girl here because her cousin is going here as well. She has a blast and looks forward to going every week. The staff here are great and my little has a great time trying to work on her cartwheels here lol. Her coaches are very patient and have been doing great with her. Keep up the great work Adventure Recreation!!! As long as my little is having fun, you’ve got one happy dadda :0)

Lacks proper administration. I pay my little cousins monthly fees to go here and I live 10 hours away. I asked them to freeze her summer classes but somehow I got charged for 4 of the classes she didn’t attend. They had agreed via phone but, it simply didn’t happen. I believe it was an administrative oversight. Then, when the rates went up, no one notified me. I simply began seeing a higher amount. Again, administrative oversight? Huh. This December, they charged me 3 times the week before Christmas. With my already tight budget and their liberty of taking fees coupled with the overdraft fees and the fact they took so long to respond(equaling extended overdraft fees) my holidays were«quiet». So fast forward to today. I tallied everything up and it was $ 210 plus 4 classes that was owed to me. I’m thinking, I gotta go to small claims, my cousin is gonna be so sad, I can’t afford continued mishaps on my bank account, etc., etc., I closed my card with them for obvious reasons. I call them up. Ask for the owner. I suggest, in lieu of paying me back, to credit my cousin in classes to an advanced level. To my relief and surprise, she readily agreed. :) YAY! The owner’s cooperation to work this out was an absolute game changer. Nobody is perfect and crap happens. However, a business owner willing to meet me half way in total civility, with intelligence, compassion and the best interest of the child in mind? NOW, I’m impressed. Admin, not so much. But the mindset, effort and humility gets an A + in my book. Too often, business owners get defensive instead of critically thinking of the goal desired and how to get there. So grateful this was not the case. Thank you because my little cousin would be crushed to not partake in this passion of hers. It’s a relief but I will, when the time comes, NOT give access to my account to the. Bill pay is the way to go. :)

The first time I tried to take my three children to Adventure Recreation for Open Gym, we arrived on time and were told that it had been canceled in favor of a birthday party. Fine, but it would’ve been nice had it been posted on the website! They compensated by offering free passes, which was very nice of them. We decided to try again, and so I called the day before to make sure that the Open Gym would, in fact, be open this time around. The person I spoke with was very friendly and let me know that it was happening and would be happening every weekday all summer. Great! Off we go to Open Gym, and when we arrive, the only people available to help us check in were two teenage girls. Their attitudes were as if they were attempting to mimic the classic sullen, unfriendly teenager. Sadly, they weren’t mimicking. Instead, they ignored me until I said«excuse me» and told them what I was there for. One continued to ignore me while the other answered my questions as monosyllabically as possible. She gestured toward a rule list, didn’t even ask me to sign in(which I knew to do from other gyms) and that was that. The two friends I was meeting had the exact same experience of being ignored, then reluctantly«helped» by this girl. When we walk in, it’s very clear that Open Gym isn’t the only thing happening that day. There were two different summer camp groups, as well as more serious gymnasts using the space. The result was that all of the Open Gym kids were essentially huddled in one corner of the room where there was a foam pit and long trampoline. Of course the business is welcome to use the space as they please, but it would’ve been a great time when I called the day before to let me know that Open Gym was shared with tons of other kids who needed large amounts of space to do their training! After trying to get toddlers(3 and under) to take turns while the front desk teenager continually told them to stop using the long trampoline together and even physically removed them from the tramp(rather than asking the parents to help them, and after NOTEXPLAININGTHERULES in the first place), we were done with it all. I finally found the owner with the intention of asking for a refund so we could leave. The owner was VERY kind, friendly, and helpful. She let us know there was a toddler room in the back(!!!) with miniature versions of everything. Hallelujah! The space was perfect and our kids had great fun. Why we weren’t told about this by the«helper» up front, I have no idea. The teenager continued to boss our older kids around without ever once explaining to us what she wanted them to do differently, which brought one shy 5-year-old to tears. Keep in mind that while our kids were trying to play and the teenage girl trying to manage them without ever communicating with us, all three moms were right there TRYING to keep our kids contained but still having fun. They only had two options: the long trampoline and the foam pit. Meanwhile, kids from the camps and other Open Gym kids were also there. It was very difficult to manage all those children in such a small space. I would’ve given a single star, but I’m tossing in a bonus star for the owner who was very kind and helpful. Now perhaps she’ll find someone more suitable to run the desk. TLDR; open gym was a stressful, frustrating experience. Perhaps their other offerings are better, but I recommend staying far away from this one and going to Galaxy or NorCal instead, where the open gym is OPEN and the kids are free to run and play as they like.

I have been to several fancy gyms where people didn’t give a hoot about the clientele, this place is not one of them. So what if the equipment is the latest? It’s the people who matter and how much they care about you or your children. Andrea and the staff genuinely care about me, my program and progress. I am a woman in her 60s who out of the blue decided to take gymnastics to build flexibility and strength. I worked with several of the staff and within 4 months I went from 70 degrees split to 120 degrees split. I also build strength. This didn’t come solely because of the equipment. This progress came as result of the attention, care and dedication that the staff gave me. My success was very important to them. I saw more results than I have had with yoga and palates.

The place is ok and for $ 5 for open gym the price is right. However, we drive about 20 minutes to go there and today we find a sign on the door that said«open gym closed today, sorry for the inconvenience.» My son was really upset and we wasted a lot of gas round trip, just to find it closed. Very disappointing but seems to go with the unorganized style of the whole place.

Just held my son 11th Bday party here. It included use of the party room, with a set table, and two extra tables for food or presents. Makayla was very helpful and on top of things. They refridgerated our soda and ice cream. We forgot a lighter and spoons and they had both for our use. The cost was right for us and they offered a discount for holding the party during open gym. The facility is smaller then the others near by, but has everything you would expect from a gym, trampolines, balance beams, foam pit…(record scratch) the Foam pit was CLOSED! They are in the process of cleaning and reinstalling new foam cubes. I wish I’d been informed, I would have rescheduled the party. When confronted about this Makayla differed to the owners who offered to compensate us for lack of foam pit. I was very appreciative. Next time I will make sure the foam pit is open.

Building and all equipment in poor condition. Disappointed when I found the foam pit was closed. They should have mentioned that when we booked the party on the phone. I was uncomfortable with how unkept and dirty things were. I found lots of trash leftover from the last party. The kids still managed to have fun. The staff member was helpful and offered to call the owner when we expressed displeasure with the foam pit being closed. The owner offered a $ 30 discount. This would be a 1 or 2 star review but discount made a difference.
