These people are unbelievable! They save lives of hundreds of dogs each year by pulling them from high-kill shelters in the south and moving them to no-kill rescues in the north. These dogs(and some cats) find homes almost right away. Those who need medical care get it at the rescues before being placed for adoption. These people are absolutely selfless. They do their work out of concern for the animals, without seeking any recognition or notoriety for themselves.
