This is a nice place. From the time i walked in the door, the whole place smelled clean, looked clean, is clean. Cleanliness is my most important factor. The bedding on the king size bed had ultra cleanwhite sheets, the mattress was firm and comfy, pillows are big and soft, and the room itself and the bathroom were huge. The breakfast was the standard stuff, but you have Wendys, Fatz, and a few other options within walking distance. For the price and in comparison to whats nearby, this was my only option. Glad i chose this hotel.

The hotel was very clean and the staff was friendly but I’m very disappointed that my little brother’s blanket was thrown away. He had had it since he was an infant so it had seen better days, but it sure didn’t look like trash and was even in the bed right next to his stuffed animals. I know it was probably a mistake but it was very near to his heart. I wouldn’t leave anything out in sight that could he taken as trash, even if you wouldn’t think it to be.

Pros: Friendly staff, decent breakfast, clean & comfortable bed. Nice location near interstate and lots of restaurants and entertainment(movie theater) very close by. Cons: I checked in to room and discovered hot water was not working. The WHOLE2nd floor hot water was not working! Was moved to the 1st floor. To the room next to the hotel staff’s personal room — and one room away from meeting rooms. Staffers constantly SLAMMED the door all night long. Group in meeting room was practicing until late through the night — noisy. To top it off — I kept smelling ‘something’ in the room. Went to put a water bottle in the min-refridge and heavily garlic’d leftover pizza & box was stuffed & folded inside — untouched by the staff. I did not get a good night sleep. Individually each of the above is really pretty minor but put together it was a not-so-great experience. I’ll be looking for a Hampton Inn here next time.

I was a little perplexed as to why this hotel was a good bit more expensive than the Holiday Inn IN Clemson on a game weekend. I was able to get a room the same day when I made a last minute decision to attend a Clemson game. The front desk staff was EXTREMELY helpful and friendly. Check in/out was a breeze. The room was clean, sleep quality good(for the first floor). Nice amount of properly placed outlets(this is important). The hotel was packed, parking was ok and felt safe. The breakfast was pretty good. It located right off the 85 and there are several close by/casual dining options plus a really nice Publix about five minutes away. I would definitely stay here again for a game weekend. Only took about 20 – 30 minutes to get to campus. The only sad thing was that I was really looking forward(?!?) to working out there but their fitness room had a water leak and was closed for renovations, which was really beyond their control but they did offer me a free pass to a nearby gym, which I passed on. I got to see some teens explain/show their parents(grandparents?) what twerking was in the hallway which humored me.

We had to pull off I-85 one night due to dangerous storms, and wound up staying at this hotel. I guess the best word I can think of to describe it is ‘adequate’. The staff was friendly and the rooms were clean, which in that situation is really all you need. I was pleased to see they had a work out facility, but dismayed that the one treadmill was broken, and when I got on the stairmaster, I couldn’t work out on it without hitting my head on the ceiling. Other than that, if you’re ever in the area and need a place to crash, the HIE in Anderson isn’t a bad place to do so.
