Cute, independent coffee shop! I’ve been a few times when I’ve been in the area! Great place to gather with friends. Nice and casual motif! Hot chai is great!

MUGS Coffee and Tea Company is a great neighborhood coffee house. I go there so often that I am currently it’s Mayor on Swarm. I love their luncheon specials and the prices are great! They bend over backwards to serve. No roasters make better coffee blends than MUGS, and I’ve tried many in my travels. I have actually met the family in Maui who owns the bean fields where MUGS buys some of their beans. MUGS’ lattes, espressos, and cold brew are phenomenal, and the staff is super friendly. Examples of service are they allowed me to have my retirement party there, and even let me bring in a dance floor. I have attended Bunco parties and Downton Abbey viewing parties there all free of charge. MUGS has a perpetual tip jar where the tip money goes to a different charity each month, and a book exchange corner for avid readers. It is a great place.

Took my wife and kids there they loved the coffee and the kids said they had the best hot chocolate ever. They have a great coffee with a ton of different flavors, fantastic staff, fun and niche building. They also support different organizations with in shop purchases.

Good coffee and an awesome atmosphere. They have quite a few flavors of syrups to choose from. The baristas are also very friendly and easy to talk to. They’re more than happy to recommend a drink for you.

I visited Mugs while my wife and I were visiting family in Anderson for the 4th of July weekend. I heard some good things about it from some family members so I decided to give it a shot and maybe use the relaxed environment of a coffee shop to squeeze in a couple rounds of a board game or two. Mugs is a locally owed coffee shop with two locations. This Mugs location appears to be in a hallway that use to be an outlet mall with several tiny storefronts. The space now features just this coffee shop, it’s seating area, and several storage rooms/office spaces for the management team. The space is as interesting as it is strange. I’m not sure I can really call it cozy or comfortable, but it is unique. It just sort of felt like I was drinking a cup of coffee in the middle of a mall hallway. I think if the floors/walls were redone in someway, this feeling could be reduced. The menu is competitively priced with Starbucks, but the quality of brew that you receive is above and beyond what you can get at the nearest coffee chain. I ordered a dirty chai latte while visiting. The quality of the drink and espresso was beyond what I usually receive. It was very well made. You can tell the quality of the ingredients is fairly high but the baristas are a tad new based on the questions being fired away to one of the owners who was working the register. You can really tell if a barista is both experienced and bored if your latte has art on top of the drink. This one did not, but I’m sure that will come with time! My biggest gripe with Mugs is the seating area. I agree with Carl’s review completely. There is not nearly enough seating and table space in this shop, which makes it difficult to meet with people or get work done productively, which we all know is the secondary function of a coffee shop. It does appear that the owners have made an attempt to add more seating since Carl’s review based on the older photos, but I still do not think it is enough. I would like to see some 4 – 6 seat tables and plenty of outlets for laptop use. Overall, I really enjoyed the drink that I ordered and appreciate the high quality of ingredients being used by this local chain. I will be returning next time I am visiting family! Keep up the good work!

Mugs is a great place with great coffee, tea, servers and more. I especially like the Rise & Roll Amish donuts that they sell. I’m giving them 4 stars because it’s very open, and so there aren’t many seating options for private conversations or business meetings.
